    Just finished this mod, super thanks for this video. The dash is SO much better now. I can actually see the icons in the daytime.

    A great video thanks… You can show the screws inside the windshield, by looking from the outside in…

    just checked this out..great video..I am planning on this project this weekend, ordered the same lights....curious, did you ever replace the climate control bulbs? also did you have any issues with the 4WD light? Thanks again for the insight!!

      No issues with the 4WD light! Long story - simplified I did do a video, computer crashed - and then I sold the Jeep so it got lost! False promises, sorry about that!

    Knocking those screws over onto the floor of the Jeep, is exactly what would’ve happened to me!

    Any update on changing the climate control bulbs to led?

    • @RandomAutomotive
      @RandomAutomotive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I sold this Jeep shortly after the video and forgot! I may try to borrow one soon and show that process though. Sorry about that!

    Question: you pulled the LED from the sleeve, flipped it and re-inserted it. Then put it back in the instrument cluster. Could you have simply pulled it from the cluster, turned it 180 degrees and put it back in the cluster?

    • @RandomAutomotive
      @RandomAutomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case yes, I believe you’re right. You can just turn it around. In some other model Jeeps they have one notch, therefore it can only go one direction. I didn’t want to throw somebody off who may be doing it to another vehicle. But good point!

      @@RandomAutomotive I ended up trying this, and it did, in fact work. I also just left the white cable connected so I could tell immediately. HVAC controls next. I looked for your video on that but couldn't find it. Turns out they're different bulbs. It's always something :)

    • @RandomAutomotive
      @RandomAutomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome, good deal! I haven’t made that video yet - will soon though. Thanks for watching!

      @@RandomAutomotive have you made the TJ HVAC bulb video yet? Not finding it. Thanks.

    Any issues after 1 year and are they truly dimmable

    • @RandomAutomotive
      @RandomAutomotive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Jim. No issues - I recently sold this Jeep, but the new owner (who is a friend) still reports they work well. They we’re dimmable. They do the typical LED thing where they dim down to as low as 25% and turn off. But yes for the most part they are dimmable. Thanks for watching, and subscribe, we have so much more content coming!

      Did you check the polarity of the new bulbs?

    Have you done your temp cluster lights yet.? Are they the exact same bulbs as you used for the dash LED's?

    • @RandomAutomotive
      @RandomAutomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have not! Planning soon - this weather makes it no fun for outside video making! Nope, it’s kinda hard to find info on the climate control bulbs, but they’re called “T4”
