I took the caps off grandma’s walker. Figured it was fair since I drive her to the doctor twice a week. She and I enjoy the sound. She upgraded her walker to tennis balls. Win/Win.
Now that’s a positive situation right there. Those rubber caps can catch on carpet for a nasty fall anyhow. 👍🏻

THANK YOU!!! You just saved me $200 since I didn't have to buy the "adapters" and keep those ends connected to the intake. Now the 2017 Interceptor Utility has the VTA and muffler delete. Just gotta figure out an alternative for the intake, unless you have one?

I know right. Lol. Every single time like when I’m on camera doing a video it gives me the red light. Gahhhh. 😂
R u pressing the lock button once then 2x on the remote start?
You know, you are right. You have to hit the lock button first. Makes good advice. 👍🏻
for anyone doing this. it can be done in 20-30 mins. save yourself the time and unbolt the back actuator using an 8mm socket. just 2 of them and they shouldn’t be super tight. makes in clipping that back one a dream of course i did this without watching the full video but im sure yall can figure it out 😂

Yes. It’s just a vent to air mod. You can just do the front. It won’t give you as much sound but you will be able to hear it more than stock. 👊🏼👍🏻 thanks.
I’ve read that VTA is bad for the engine on this particular engine anyway have you had any issues since install or blocking of the air tube?
I have had zero issues with mine. Daily driver also.

Hey Juan, mine has not had any problems and it’s completely reversible. You will be just fine to do this mod. 👍🏻
I already did it sound so loud I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to damage the turbos. I also made my own short ram intake.

Did you see any hp increase from the muffler delete? And have you thought about cat back exhaust?
Hey. No hp increase with the delete. But I do know that factory muffler weight about 60 lbs or more. Go rid of a lot of weight so that’s a bonus. 👍🏻
In order to get any gains from ANY type of performance bolt ons you have to tune it. Otherwise the computer will just correct the air/fuel ratio. And doing bolt ons without a tune will actually decrease your performance.
Since doing this about a year ago, have yall had any issue with it throwing codes or an issue passing inspection?
Mine has had no issues so far. My inspection guy lets anything visual pass. So I’m good there. But no codes so it passes the diagnostic inspection. 👍🏻
Nice. What does plugging/unhooking that hose do on the negative side ? Like what the purpose of it before I do it
Just a blow off so you get a turbo whoosh sound. No negative effects for me.

@@Dre-ib6siI’m more familiar with vw. Just acquired a sport recently but I presume it is a recirculation tube for the turbo to intake manifold. I could be wrong
@@Dre-ib6sioriginal intent is to keep the blow off noise muted by venting back to intake.

How is the drone with the muffler delete. I have a 2016 sport and I was thinking of doing the delete.
It’s not bad at cruising. Just when you get on it hard it gets a little loud but no actual cruising drone.

I'm back. Did the vta mod and hated it LOL. Cruising at a steady throttle somewhere around 40mph I get a constant on/off blowoff sound. It got annoying pretty quickly. I like it after an aggressive accel to throttle lift. I'm back to the quiet life.... until the muffler deletes 😉
Man I hate that. I know it can be an acquired taste for sure.
Did it effect the MPG, or did it though any codes?
I definitely did not throw any codes. I’ve not seen any drop in mpg as of yet but will report back if I do.

Since you've done the VTA mod, have you had any problems with your explorer?
I have noticed gas mileage has decreased by a few mpg. That’s the only thing so far. No check engine light or issues.
Any updates on issues or gas mileage?
Everything seems to remain the same with it. Zero issues and the gas mileage only suffered by like 2 mpg.
Gas mileage may have only taken the hit because you get in the boost a little more often to hear that awesome sound. I followed your video and mine has been set up like this for a while now. My explorer hasn’t acted any different at all but sounds cool!

What indicators? Mine never set off any lights or issues. I love it.

You can do a break boost put it on drive and leave the break fully pressed and rev up to 2500 rpms and let go of Gas and will blow off.... without having accelerate foward.... incase you at a stop light and wanna break boost someone off haha have fun...

How do u do the muffler delete
I had a muffler shop remove mine for $100. You can’t just cut muffler out and add straight pipe because the pipe will need to be bent slightly. The muffler shop has all the tools to bend and weld pipes up. 🤙🏼
Can that be done on the single Turbo charged explorer to ?
I feel sure. All turbos have to have a blow off valve.

How much is it to do the muffler delete
It cost me $50 at the local muffler shop. So it is well worth the money.
What’s the process to get it back to normal if wanted I’ll be honest I do not know what this entails
Dan I just realized you were asking about our explorer. I have an f150 that I did the muffler delete and it only had one muffler which cost $50. So the explorer cost me $100. Since it has two mufflers. They cut the muffler pipe before and after. The muffler then is removed. They put a piece of straight pipe in where the muffler used to be. So be sure to keep your mufflers and they can remove the pipe and put mufflers back on if you ever chose to.
Should always put your oil cap back on immediately....

I have since the video was made. I mod and make different types of videos but always return to stock soon there after. Some people love it and enjoy it. Some hate it. I did a blow off mod also. Then returned it to stock shortly there after.
Tha bad invention can damage the engine and l can't find the magic..man
