Yes. The wind makes the worn plastic vibrate at speed thus causing a rattle sound. Common failure on the explorer.

Absolutely not in my case. It’s a plastic tube that flows extremely hot liquid day in and day out. The plastic was deteriorating cracking thus causing the leaks. I always say if you’re going to do a job do it correctly. It’s a very cheap part that will require just a few hours of your time.

Yes only do one wheel at a time. If you try to do both back wheels, then the axle will move and you will have a lot more issues trying to get it lined up. Do one side at a time and it will go smooth.

I edited all the sound in. I really do wish there was a way to make that sound. Probably use a PA system and it would be a huge hit at car shows and such.

The wheels are a custom black painted hd chopstix 20x12 and tires are Nitto trail grapplers 37x13.50 r 20. 👌🏼

That’s a steep price brother, but the good thing is once mine were replaced I’ve never had another rattle from them. 🤙🏼

I have experienced it on a few different stations. I just use the remote bass nob to compensate but I know it’s frustrating. The B and O effects some worse than others. If I find a better solution then I will for sure post back.

It’s possible. I’ve had people tell me that the ones from Lowe’s don’t fit well, then I’ve had other people tell me that they fit fine. Look in my description for the link I provide and click on it. It’s an Amazon link that has multiple springs in the kit. That way you can try different springs and I feel sure that will work best.

You never know with dealerships. I hate it that your are having to pay out like this. If either you could do this work or have some one willing to help you rather than a dealer. Usually the good thing about dealerships is they will fix your problem, but the price is sometimes outrageous.

@LivinWith3M just a FYI that oil isn't something you can just buy off the shelf anywhere, Napa might have 2-3 gallons on hand. It's gotten easier to find, used to have to order it online. Absolutely pain in the ass to find in stock, cheaper than Amsoil almost identical protection and quality. Both are made the same way. Don't be caught thinking Platinum or Euro blend 5w30 is the same, it's not. It will have a black label vs silver of the regular Platinum or Euro blend. First start up, you'll instantly notice the VVTI retains oil pressure after shut down so next start up it's quiet. Prevents chain stretch on the 5.4 Triton motors too, normally a ticking time bomb..

@@LivinWith3M I am 400 miles into to the prolube add, and for my 19 ecoboost 3.5, I can say it is a tad less typewriter sound coming from the truck..... So to my ear, it does quiet the notorious ecoboost 3,5 ticks down some, didn't eliminate, but did reduce. Time will tell if it gets even better and if it does add longevity . Approaching 100k miles, so I might try the Valvoline restore & protect for the next two oil cycles.
