- The Paladins are finally going to be heading home! We'll be getting family reunions at long last! But things aren't going to be going completely smooth on Earth. Where the Paladins have gone, the Galra and/or Honerva have always followed. Now that they're heading there, so will their enemies. Honerva has been spying on team Voltron for months through Kuron. She knows where they're from and all about their families. In Shiro's Vlog he said he'd "get the Paladins back to Earth whatever it takes," in a very ominous voice. It was Kuron in the vlog; when Haggar was starting to gain more control over him. From what he said, it seems like Honerva's going to be making it to Earth. In Voltron: Defender of the Universe and Beast King GoLion bad things happened to team Voltron's homes. What happens to Earth in Legendary Defender won't be exactly the same as what happened in previous Voltron versions, but they will take some inspiration from what happened in previous versions. Earth is going to be under attack, but I'm sure the Galaxy Garrison, the Paladins, and their allies will find a way to make things right.

Theres a theory suggesting Haggar already knew of the colony, since she doesnt look the least bit suprised to be seeing another living altean. Haggar was able to sense princess allura in the beginning of voltron. Maybe lotor sacrificed those magically gifted alteans to her in order to hide the rest because she could have threatened to reveal the colony to zarkon. It also explains why lotor refuses to acknowledge her as his mother but still call zarkon his father.
could be. but remember that he also never told her about the magic altean place hidden by the gods of alchemy (sorry I forgot its name xD), so perhaps she knew he was hiding somethin but never reliased, and since Lotor spent his childhood apart from his parents and with his, hum...governess, she didn´t specificly had to know about his obsession with altean culture for a long time. She might have started to doubt it afterwards when he started to wander off on his own and never being around (they had to summon him afterall, so he was nowhere near), she was constantly trying to figure out was he was up to by sending spies after him, but he kept on destroying them, so she might have suspected something was up with altean centered matters, not necessarily know about the colony but still not be surprised after its finding because of Lotor's interests.
Lotor probably hates his parents because of the fact that not only did they kill the planet containing his kind but they also never cared for him like propper parents, and he has always been despised for being an half-breed, since his father always culminated the idea that only pure galra were worthy. Lotor is a rebel. He kept his team composed of half-bred generals to prove his father wrong, just like he also believed in peace between allies when Zarkon thought of them as weaknesses. So hiding a colony of alteans from the entire galra empire certainly would be his biggest rebel act and his main one, so he would probably put a lot of effort into not get caught. He always managed to get Haggar's spies in the end anyway.
That's just my view though. But I feel that Haggar might also 'ignore' the fact that she knew to preserve at least some alteans. She managed to sneak kurone into her son's circle of trusty allies afterall.
But if she knew, why never dig into that?

I am a simple man. I see a fictional Crystal video and I click.
Does anyone find it weird Earth hasn't been attacked yet? For all those years the war has happened it's so strange. I think the Garrison have some sort of alliance with the Galra in some way, to keep Earth safe from captivity. They did tests on Shiro when he returned to Earth immediately without even giving him aid/help to recover before questioning him. We know they wrote off Shiro, Sam, and Matt as dead on the Kerberos mission when they disappeared (and Pidge knew it). I have a theory that the Garrison sent the 3 on that mission so they will get captured to be used as test subjects (Shiro being cloned/ the champion), and Sam for his brain (he was in the camp with the other aliens making things for the Galra. I think in order to protect Earth and not be a slave to the Galra, the Garrison (or any other space organization like it in the show) made an alliance to help the Galra to save their own skins. We know nothing of the Garrison but what we do know is shady. I think Earth is already under control but it's just in a different way than the other space planets.
That's actually a really cool theory. There was no real reason for the Galra to be hovering around Kerberos (other than to attack Earth but they didn't end up doing that as far as we know) its so far away from their other outposts and there are no useful resources there (not even quintessence considering Kerberos is a planet and not a moon). There is kind of a hole in it that Sam got to choose the team he took with him on the mission, that there are plenty of legitimate reasons to send scientists to a mostly unexplored moon and that the Galra would probably not accept three scientists in exchange for the entirety of Earth however the theory could be correct with some plot developments. Plus the Garrison are extremely shifty.

What I was trying to say is that the Garrison is sending scentists to the Galra to save their own skins, but I wrote it wrong in terms of saying they just sent only Shiro, Matt and Sam. But yeah there are many legitimate reasons to send scientists to space so you are right about that. I just want to know how the Garrison is tied into everything I can't wait until they get onto Earth.
mouna3242 Oh yeah so its like a program. Every so often they will send a new team out (which is why they need so many new fighter pilots), Earth holds no tactical advantage (other than quintessence but they have plenty of that from other sources) so for the time being they are content with receiving 'the best and the brightest' scientists from Earth. And maybe because Shiro, Matt and Sam escaped the Galra has decided to give up on the Garrison and go ahead and invade earth.
In an early episode it is revealed that Earth is located in the quarter of the galaxy the Galra haven't conquered yet.
Krolia killed the other Galra to protect Earth.
The Galra commander who spotted the Kerboros Mission team was given orders directly by Zarkon to go after the BlueLion only. That same commander was imprisoned by Zarkons direct order because he save his crew but lost the objective of a later mission in doing so.

Pidge's flashbacks implies that there was some sort of cover up with the Kerberos mission. It's possible that Earth learned about the existences aliens, and that they are hostile. Haven't little options in the matter they may have opted to cover up the abduction and quietly investigate the matter. They also seems to have recently started training space fighter pilots. How they treated Shiro also indicates they may have already been aware of aliens before he arrived. They quickly leaped into cover up mode before he crashed and started to examine him rather then listen to what he had to say or care about the other crew members.
I worry how the Galaxy Garrison will treat the paladins or even how they have been treating Sam Holt. They may want to keep their policy of keeping the general public in the dark. There is also the matter of convincing the Garrison of the full scope of the treat the Galra pose to Earth. They might be arrogant enough to think that they can give the Galra a run for their money as soon as they gain FTL technology.
The Garrison could also withhold the plans for the Castle of Lions to try and gain leverage over the paladins. It goes without saying that anyone who has any idea what the lions are capable of would want them for themselves. They could also want their own Castle of Lions, but lack the means to build it even with the plans, and could demand they get one as well.
It would be nice to see them head back to the Balmera, but it seems unlikely they will try and get a new crystal until they have the plans and find a place to build it. They will also have to pay the Weblum another visit. Rebuilding the castle might turn into a bunch of fetch quests, some of which we might not even see.
I know this is old but it's ranks up with the best analysis i have seen yet on anything Voltron ever.

IM FREAKING OUT OVER THE FACT THAT SEASON 7'S RELEASE DATE IS AUGUST 10TH AND THAT THE FIRST EPISODE GETS RELEASED IN A FEW DAYS ON THE CON?????? Season 6 was WILD AF and though im REAALLYY EXCITED FOR SEASON 7, I havent fully recovered after it sdfghnjhfgbdsadfbgn

If there's only six or seven episodes, I doubt we see earth in the next season, they'd probably need some time to travel without the castle's wormhole.

Ami we’ll see, but I think so because ALOT can happen in 6-7 episodes as proven by past seasons.
The showrunners in one of those Afterbuzz TV interviews hinted that next season will be a "road trip" to use their words, so I definitely think a majority if not all of the 6/7 episodes will not see Earth.

Quick question? Lotor may not be dead, but are his generals? Like, they got jettisoned into the vacuum of space with no ship, limited life-support, and pretty close to the battle (and rift) site? They had no way of calling for help as far as I could tell. Like, either Honerva saves them or they get super lucky and have a Galra ship pick them up ... but yeah they're looking at a pretty grim fate.
CardButton Well, theyre not dead yet, and ee know that acxa has something to do with keith so I dont think they'll get killed off befire finding out what that is. They turned on honerva, so I don't think she'll take them back. They need new allies fast, so I think they'll either ally with voltron, the blade of marmora, or sendaks new terrorist organization.
well, Krolia and Keith were in a pretty desperate situation at the time comets and they found a way by landing on that giant space creature's back, so the generals proably found a way out too. They are quick thinkers, especially acxa.
I really wonder if she's keith's sister or related to him (I doubt it, why would she agree to attack krolia if she was her mother? krolia wouldn't turn her away, she's too motherly for that) or if she's just feeling like she has a life-debt to him after he helped her out at the weblum and even left her leave with a bag of scaultrite

I'd rather not have Klance, I get he's LGBT but i'm much more of a fan of Lallura, But everyone has their preferences, Also we have seen more of his feeling towards Allura in season 6, So I dont think there is gonna be the Klance Ship.
Lance and allura have potential but I don't think they will be endgame. They are a cute ship but I think klance will be the endgame (contrary to the doubt within the fandom) so many things point to it if you pay attention to the show, just from season 6 alone, like the parallel with lance "I mean really I think we make a great team" then cradles himself in his arms, to the subtle rainbow on keith during the mission with krolia, to the red and blue stars in the astral plane. I think the writers are going for klance. But pidge and lance have potential too, we'll see what happens... I have a lot more but too lazy to write it :p personally hoping for klance, hunk and shay, and shallura to be the possible endgames

Okay I just found out about the Paladins ages and you will be shocked so apparently. Lance is 18 hunk is18 Pidge is 16 Shiro’s 26 and we already know what about Keith’s age so that means they have been space for a year but for Keith and Shiro and Matthew it was 3 years or 2 years 🌍🌎🌏
Keith and Krolia aged 2 years ahead of the rest, so he's about 20-21 right now- 22 max if everyone aged up one year between seasons.

I've thought literally about all of this last night. It kept me up, and now you release this 😂 I'm not sure whether Earth will be wiped out, like you said, it really depends on how dark they decide to make things. Thing is, I think about this (Earth being in danger), the threat Haggar gives, I don't even think the Garrison are good people either and then also things that finish off (and in some cases begin) character arcs like Allura with the Alteans and Lance's arc. I keep on forgetting that this is actually a lot of stuff for the 26 episodes left. It is going to be one hell of a ride. It makes me so anxious😂

What if the Atlas... Is the White Lion?
I got the idea from Tumblr, when I saw a fan art of Shiro with a (or the) White Lion.
And I'm bad at explaining why I think this, but...
Here are some moments and reasons that make me believe in this small theory:
1. Why did Shiro (or Kuron, whatever) see through Haggar when she went to Oriande? It didn't really make sense (now that I think about it). Especially since its a one time thing with that happening. And he didn't even actually see through her. Like, first person view. He was shown a different view. (3rd person, is it called?) The White Lion, payed actual attention to him in those visions.
2. Why did the crystal on Allura's crown glow when Shiro's new arm went wild? It seemed like a pretty random thing to do. I want to believe that it was the White Lion's doing. That it is hidden in that small gem. Put there when Allura went to Oriande. (Either the Lion or the goddess person thing talking to Allura). And that leads in the 3rd point;
3. How did the Atlas turn into... Voltron 4.0? I don't remember Sam getting his hands on a Voltron Meteor. So how? I remember reading somewhere that it was both the Castle Diamond and Shiro's arm that helped the Atlas change shape. (Idk if its fan made information or not but it certainly sounds interesting...)
4. Shiro being stuck in "Voltron's Inner Quintessence" as Shiro puts it. And that's the line that gets me. He didn't say the Black Lion. He said Voltron. So, it makes me wonder if Shiro has a small connection to ALL the Lions, but in a different way to the Paladins. And if that's a reason he would be chosen by the White Lion.
5. Shiro shared Allura's body. It was for a few seconds, yes, but still. And when he was put into the Clone's body, his hair went fully white/silver. Now it could be argued that the color change is a result of the stress the body was put through to accept a new conscious/spirit, but at the same time who knows when Altean magic is involved?
I know its a long shot theory, but... What if?

I've heard a theory that Keith's dad in VLD is James Hawkins. If he is, that would explain why the show keeps withholding his name. It would be kind of a big reveal for fans of the old shows.

I just realized Colleen Holt, Pidge’s mom must be devastated. The Garrison told her that her husband and son died, and then they probably told her, that her daughter died too. And knowing the Garrison, they probably didn’t let Pidge’s dad and brother go back to the general populous, pronounced dead from before. So Colleen is probably all alone either being depressed, or if she’s anything like Katie, trying to infiltrate the Garrison to find out the truth.

I think it is a neat idea for Krolia to be Empress... but there has been little set up for it. The only other Galra outside of Sendak with any tangible leadership is Kolivan. Even if the BOM is viewed as terrorists, they still are a faction of mostly Galra with a pre-established army. If Krolia took over the BOM if Kolivan dies, then yes, she would be set up to be Empress. Until then, she'd have second fiddle to him. (it is also possible due to the parallels between Kolivan and Zarkon, and if Krolia is Kolivan's daughter. She would take control, but voted in as leader rather than fighting for it like Lotor did at the Kral Zera)
