I tried this with motorcycle filters, the filters were too small and too restrictive to work. Glad you found a diy system that worked. I made mine like the Eco power parts but did it my self

Nice nice, These filters I got pretty good size, surface almost as big as one factory filter that two turbos share...

Wouldn’t it of been a bit better to put the rear turbo finger up by the old air box location for better air flow and less heat from the engine?

Where did you put your boost gauge line? (If you have one) can’t find a spot with boost and vaccum. Thanks in advance

Reading boost from access port off of ODB port.

@@Pete717 yea I saw that after I commented, I can’t ever find hardly anything on these cars it’s difficult for someone learning like me

As well as more air, I think the cooler the air, the better. Bring in some air from outside the engine bay with a scoop. Measure the temp of the engine bay to give you a baseline.

I like the idea! i want to try this with some massive filters to see if i can let them breathe a little easier

The filters I used each one of them was same surface space as single stock filter, so that was more than efficient for the flow, bit it did not change anything meaning what I had before had no issue with air restriction.

I like to know what the surface area of those two compared to one big filter

each of them filter is almost same surface as one factory filter.

where did you put the maf?

These are MAP controlled, not MAF.

what you have inside the air box is just a temp sensor, thats it, real MAF on this car is after the turbo, so I did not have to relocate it

I mean it's sucking HOT air from inside the engine bay. It would be GREAT if it was boxed BUT this seems like you would be harming vs helping

You probably lost 5-10hp man, you got rid of your cold air intake from the bumper and now your sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Thats easily a 20-60 degree difference on intake temp. Also, those filters are awfully small you may have lost filter surface area

that was experiment, driving it car has so much air movement inside the engine bay I did not see any temp increase on my datalogs, from the stop yes, you jump up on the temps but as soon as you et moving it brings it down. ABout filter service, I looked up the spec on them filter I used, each one of them same surface as stock factory air filter, so I actually doubled the filter surface area
