    Honestly $50 a fan for that seems super reasonable. And since so many cases have the 2 or 3 fan combo down the side of the case where the fan hub is facing you, I can see those sensors being super useful. So I gotta say for these, I am for one.......a fan

      TBF the reverse blades are sometime way less efficient, (which is generally great because modern cases have way more intake fans than exhuast and balance is key) but back then until we started putting all kinds of crazy effects on them, a plastic square looked like a plastic square from both sides. It didn't make much sense to have a reverse fan for such minor improvements whereas here the only reason and LCD fan can exist is probably because of reverse fans.

    This is a cool concept, especially for someone like myself who likes the screens to display data. I agree though I’m not the biggest fan of the infinity mirrors on the side, I would like to see them come out with an “SL” style. Also like someone else mentioned, it would only be ideal for fans that you can see clearly - there’s always the desire for uniformity but having fans with screens that are not even visible to you would be a bit of a waste of money. Still, I’m glad these are out and am excited to see what they come out with in the inevitable V2

      Agreed, Looking at my case also, "Lian LI Lancool 2 Mesh", the exhaust fan is the only one you would see. I also think, fans is now getting to the point were the price is getting to high. A fan is there for one job, to move air not to watch repeats of friends.

      while i agree with you for most cases, people have to remember not every product is intended for every consumer. if you only have an exhaust fan facing you, you are not their target. also another thing to keep in mind is that they made the fans next to the mobo popular with their O11 case and now almost every new case is like that.

    One style of fan I would love to see incorporated into the case fan world is the Dyson blade-less fans. That would really change the market due to them not needing to be square. Also they have a very minimalistic look and would look super cool with a thin LED ring around the rim of the surround 🙂

    • @clifflenoir4323
      @clifflenoir4323 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Sadly those Dyson fans have a regular fan in the base: they just have no blades at the top where the air comes out and the ring of air pulls additional air along with it. This is why they are called air multipliers, since a lower fan speed can pull more air through, thus multiplying the efficiency. In a PC case, you would still need a bladed fan somewhere and the meshes and dust filters would completely stop the air multipier effect from working 😕

    I used the Lian Li infinity 360 white cooler, with the centers making a decent representation of the rings.

If needed I could turn the argb off (I assume I could) if it's too much for the simple esthetics that I enjoy. Actually those lcd's with the blacked out argb would look really good in in my black H9, with the thin rear argb of the lightwings with a simple warm white.

    i think the best use for these fans would be in a chassis with the fans beside the motherboard (a la 011 Dynamic). I mean if you think about all the normal fan locations, if it's in the front, generally there is a mesh or some sort of filter which blocks (somehow) the display. If it's on top, you generally wouldn't see the screen. Same thing if its on the bottom/floor of the case. The rear/back of the case generally holds only one fan (max of 2) which may be the 2nd best option.
