- I think this is the best Honda trx450r we have bought yet! In this video let's check out the new addition and go over its upgrades and issue's it has. We will pull the carburetor and see if we can get away with a basic cleaning.

My 2013 450ER had sat for a few years also. Only had about 50 hours on it. While I had things apart, I went ahead and did a full carb rebuild, including the mid-body. Some folks told me those FCR mid-body gaskets can be the cause of lots of gremlins. Glad I did the rebuild because the gaskets looked pretty dried out before I replaced them.
I'm going to rebuild it. The quad is a Lil more stripped down now while parts for the 330r come in. Those carbs are overly complicated
Also check and make sure fuel squirts while slide lifts. And like someone said mid body gaskets and diaphragm inside the accelerator pump are good

Insane deal bro!! I need to start flipping quads quick. These 250r and banshee restos I do, they sell but time to profits isn't worth it.
I always try to sell for a profit before I put money into them. Buy for 2 sell for 3 or buy for 2 put 1 in then get 4 is the same to me
Wouldn’t doubt if there was a crf cam on it. Stock header is stupid with port work unless it was a HRC header

I would remove the lid, and go to 130 main leave pilot alone. Never change the small jet. I think it's the petcock, considering that the carb was filled with gas, idk. But the mid body might be possible as the problem , considering what the issues are and it's been in there since 06.
You try bringing down idle. I m going to say mid, body almost for sure. Where is Fuel screw cause u didn't mention it.
It could be the mid body gasket. I have the carb back off. The bike came with the oem carb extra so I'm going to dig into further in the next video on this bike

I know sabo did some shocks for his predator build. I’m in upstate Ny. I would love another Trx 450r but I wouldn’t mind a ER. We should chat. I wouldn’t mind getting that off ya and doing my thing with it. I did a full houser/fox/rath build last time.

Those grips give you arm pump. Thick grips give arm pump. I love lock ons didn't get me wrong
I love the odi lock ons. I guess it's all preference

Idk why people put keys in beautiful shrouds like that. Never will understand that. If ur doing Mx u don’t need a key anyway. U need a tether in most classes

As I sit here watching at end of show I wonder if if that has hrc kit and header. If u look at needle they usually had hrc needle that came with kit and aid box lid that was cut down also a bigger header and cam

Hello, I have a few questions I have a 2007 trx400ex and it has always had a ticking noise I couldn’t tell if it was from the timing or valves but after a nice warm up it would quiet down a bit. Unfortunately today was the day my quad stopped running, I was riding and I heard the the noise get louder then maybe 15 seconds later the whole quad cut out. When I try to start my quad it has a slap to it but it has good compression almost wants to start. Obviously I will not try to start anymore don’t want things to get worse
Check timing, your timing chain tensioner and the valves
Them new side shrouds graphics are 2014 i just got some from honda

Hey man quick question when I changed my break in oil it came out grey, It has a new clutch new cylinder new wiesco piston and rings and I followed the manual when installing it all. Do you know what the grey oil could be from? When I looked it up it said something about water in oil but there is no way water could get in the case it's constantly covered and I never drive it in the rain, any clue?
Pay attention to your coolant level. I know on the 450r there is a o-ring that goes between the clutch cover and inner case. If you did your clutch maybe that got nicked or rolled when the cover went back on
