I absolutely love the Cerave Vitamin C serum! I have mild eczema, and acne prone skin, and it doesn't irritate my skin and layers well underneath sunscreen. I'm also a flight attendant, and I swear that the Cerave serum keeps my skin supple as I constantly transition between humid and dry environments and different temperatures.
That’s all good to hear. Some people can be very sensitive to pure vitamin C, but this one is definitely very gentle.
I love the Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer. It has encapsulated vitamin C along with other great ingredients. It is the only one that I have been able to tolerate without it burning my skin.
Stratia vitamin C is also a great option. It has 10% l-ascorbic acid, 5% Tetrahexadecyl ascorbate, 0.5% Q10 in an anhydrous base. It has no fragrance and lasts a year. It is also pregnancy safe.
I was wondering about this one. I have rosacea and like their liquid gold and interface.
I love the Cerave Vitamin C, it feels great on my skin and my skin is glowing!
This was a wonderful selection of options. Thank you Dr. Liu!
Thank you!❤
Great video, this has really helped me
Excellent video! Thanks for always explaining everything so thoroughly 👍🏻
Very useful video I love it.💗💗💗
This is my new fave vitamin c video to recommend to people on social media.
I’m getting great results using Peter Thomas Roth Potent C THD serum on my face, neck and backs of my hands -but not my cheeks, where I use a 15% prescription azelaic acid. The azelaic acid I had to start at every other day in the am, but now my skin can tolerate it every day.
The PTR Potent C price is high but it’s often on sale for about $70 and it lasts me at least 2 months, so the monthly effective cost is fine.
The thing I've heard about 3-O-ascorbyl is that it along with ascorbyl glucoside make a good combination together/make them more stable and able to penetrate. There's a product with them both from Summer Fridays, cc me vitamin c serum. Fenty and Frist Aid Beauty also have 3-O-ascorbyl serums that I've seen recommended for sensitive skin.
I’ve been using Cosmedix Revert Boosting Brightening Serum and love how light weight and gentle it is for my mild rosacea and sensitive skin.
Really enjoy the Vanicream vitamin C, but also enjoy the Glow Recipe vitamin C as well, they are both my top two!
My concern with Vanicream vitamin C if it’s effective
Great video. I love it.💗💗💗
Thank you 🤗
Omg this is the video that I didn’t know I needed. I have very sensitive skin with rosacea and every vitamin C serum I’ve tried has literally broken me out in lil red bumps and burned my face so I gave up. I’m 46 and love skincare and always use SPF (I live in Vegas😰) I’m going to order the Vanicream vitamin c to try. Thank you so much Dr. Liu❤
I'm running low on my vitamin c treatment and was starting to think about which vitamin c product I wanted to try next - so glad I came across this video!
Me too!👍🤔
Geek & Gorgeous vitamin C is also one to consider. It did wonders for my skin.
I love the G&G C-Glow serum❤ I'm not sure if it's good for rosacea or sensitive skin though.
I do have sensitive skin and I totally tolerate it!@@norakingaforgacs7767
Hi Dr Liu, have you tried the Paula’s choice 25% vit c? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I like the Timeless 10% serum, but it sensitizes my skin so that I can’t use a retinoid at night. The Vanicream serum is my holy grail. There is no irritation, and there is no issue with a retinoid at night after using the THD ascorbate in the morning. I bought the Cerave to try but haven’t yet.
I have been using Timeless Vit c 20% for years and I love it!
As I got older and my skin got drier I had to drop to the Timeless 10%. Timeless price & packaging are excellent - I really appreciate a company that makes products that are effective, well packaged and reasonably priced. . Now I can’t use even that due to dryness so I am using a THD vitamin c serum.
That’s my favorite too although I also like the SkinBetter Alto Defense as well.
@@maureengreen617 Hi! what is the price point on that one?
@@giulitorelli $27 for one ounce. And $74 for 4 oz size. They have sales all the time so I would sign up for their texts and emails.
Thank you for this! I have dry, sensitive, rosacea-prone skin and I currently like and can tolerate the Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream.
Thank you, Dr. Liu. After I use up what I have, I might try the expensive SkinBetter one, since it seems to be a multi-tasker. I like the Cerave for LLA. Unfortunately the DRMTLGY one is heavily fragranced and I cannot use it on my face. I am using it on my body. Have you tried Ghost Democracy Light Bulb Vit C? It is THD with some other nice ingredients.
Ty!
Hi, which one can we use with copper peptides at the same routine?? 💛
I am trying to gradually increase the strengths of THD serums before trying L-ascorbic vit C. Can you do a video on the strengths of ingredients??
Hi Mam! Please make a video on under eye creams for older people.. And also do a review of Artistry and Filorga under eye creams and any affordable dupes if available.. My mum uses Artistry but it's getting quite heavy on the pocket 😅
The vanicream vitamin c does wonders for my skin. It is really hydrating. I recommend for dry and sensitive skin.
What about the efficacy?
Can you do a video on THD vitamin c serums?
Can you recommend a nice day moisturizer suitable for dry skin that will work really well with the vanicream vitamin c serum?
Thank you Dr. Liu! Great video! I have extremely sensitive skin and rosacea. What is the best way to patch test a new product?
Cheapest is to apply on a small area like your jawline cheek or inner arm for a week otherwise professional patch testing done by dermatologist
Thank you so much for your reply! I am very sensitive... my skin care routine is very limited and I hesitate to try new products. I could benefit from a Vitamin C serum. Thank you for your recommendations! Be well!@@dr.jennyliu
I use the Medik8 C-Tetra serum,i really like it so far. I used ascorbic acid before and it was ok but i thought i'd give it a try to THD and the medik8 is a bit pricey but still affirdable in my opinion 😊
Oh, I do love that one too it is more pricey though
Have you tried Stratia's vitamin C?
种草那几款vc 加胜肽的精华,谢谢推荐❤
I’ve tried a couple different vitamin Cs and I find Vanicream to be the best for me.
$85? $165? Guess ima steal sum of the testers n try before spending 😅
How about Paula's Choice super antioxidant serum with THD, multiple antioxidants and a peptide? How does it compare with the skin better?
So confusing …. I’m new to the facial care game BUT I tried the CeraVe Vitamin C serum… its seemed to look like on my face BUT after a week or 2 using… it dried my face up so bad! 🤨🥺🤷♀️🤦🏻♀️
Thank you for doing this. Recently diagnosed with rosacea & I’ve been trying to revamp my routine with my sensitivities in mind.
Hello Dr. Liu, would you recommend to use any of these with copper peptides? Thanks!
Yes, absolutely as tolerated otherwise can use peptide at night
Love the versed, but caused congestion for me 😢😊
What do you think of The Ordinary, Cosrx, Murad, The Inkey List and Inde wild vitamin C serums? Cuz They are quite affordable and easily accessible here in India.
Vanicream one was pretty good indeed! Used 2 tubes up and now trying out the goodal vita c serum, which is more like a gel texture, good for spring and summer I guess! Have you tried the goodal one?
Is the serum really shiny/greasy? I bought the vit C moisturizer by mistake and my face looked soaked all day and even when I woke up the next day. I dont think it absorbs at all
@@Joannabanana1989 on my skin it gives a healthy shiny finish but not greasy, I kinda like the texture actually!
Good morning! Before starting Accutane, I used to be pretty oily, but now I'm enjoying a sebum suppression effect while on it. Will taking omega-3 supplements result in excessive sebum production? Also, when taking omega-3 supplements while on Accutane, should I take them at the same time or better to space them apart?
Can take them together
And no it won’t
