I LOVE k18 too - I made the mistake of thinking I never needed leave in conditioner and heat protection and my thick hair became broken, dry and generally sad (no surprise after what I learned that leave in conditioner etc does). Now I’m bond repair obsessed… I use Epres pre shower, redken in shower after k18 and I’m just starting the living proof one after shower.
And I’ll never not use leave in conditioner and heat protection…
I’m so grateful for channels like yours … Abby Yung and the blow dry professor taught me so much ❤
Oh I just bought the trial size bumble and bumble protector product you mentioned and I started sleeping on silk pillow cases too so I really hope this is the year of hair NOT breaking for me

Do you use the Redken Bonding Leave In or what Redken product do you use? Because I also have thick hair but I feel k18 leaves my hair dry.

My biggest issue with hair care is that nearly everything is scented, especially products for repairing hair. Fragrances aren’t a problem just when I’m using the product. Lingering scents can irritate my skin, sinuses, and my husband. We both have many allergies. And products that contain salicylates are a big problem. For example, salicylic acid burns my skin, and it’s being included increasingly in hair products.

For hair towels, have you tried the Crown Affair ones? I also heard someone once say that before you go swimming (say in a chlorine pool) to dampen hair and apply conditioner before applying a swim cap. Do you think that's a good idea?

What hair masks would you recommend for thick hair?? Also when you use Epres Bonding Treatment do you still apply a pre hair oil with it? Or just one of them?

My only fear is I have acne and sensitive skin to fragrance and I worry that products applied to my hair could irritate my scalp or give me acne around my face/shoulder. Should I patch test a hair product on my arm and hope it doesnt react before trying it on my hair?

Love this video and really appreciate the suggestions you offer for minimizing hair breakage. I have dry, brittle, thin, fine hair that breaks off at the ends. I am considering trying the Kerastase "Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum Hydrating Treatment for Dry Hair." This overnight product is applied to lengths and ends and is supposed to nourish and hydrate your hair. Have you heard of or tried this product?

No disrespect, your content is really good but you talk with your hands and constantly moving really make it difficult to watch the video to the end

@sarahmahnor1614 no disrespect but watch other YT influencers that don’t use their hands (but don’t watch Abbey Yung, Dr Dray, Dr Ellis, Mad about Skin, Doctorly etc …the list is endless because they all use their hands as a way of communicating).
Actually don’t even watch YT & keep your nasty condescending comments to yourself Naaaasteeee Sarah 😮
Keep up your great work and content Dr Liu ❤❤❤ your videos and ❤❤❤ you especially your hand movements 😊
