    Skincare routine for glowing, clear skin:
    - Start with a glass of water on an empty stomach.
    - Cleanse face with besan powder and rose water, then pat dry.
    - Use liiittleextra rice berry vitamin c face serum and apply aloe vera gel as moisturizer.
    - At night, apply milk and turmeric mix on face, then wash off and use toner and aloe vera gel.
    - Have greens, fruits, nuts, seeds, and exercise 4-5 times a week or practice yoga.

    Hi! I’m currently using the Cerave and it hasn’t bothered my rosacea one bit. I like the texture and the way it’s making my skin look and feel. I also started using the newest Vanicream lotion and must say, I’m loving it. Keeping my skincare routine simple and my skin is thanking me for it.

    I’ve used the Vanicream three times a week for nearly a year with no problems. I have very dry, extremely sensitive, older skin. I purchased, but have yet to try, the CeraVe, because of all the positive data regarding l-ascorbic acid. If I tolerate it well, I plan to try alternating them during the week, thereby getting C every day.
    I’ve never understood why, but my skin has something against using the same products daily. The derms I’ve consulted don’t get it either, but they have verified that it’s true. It makes my life more complicated, but the effort is worthwhile to avoid the feeling of burning skin.

    You talked about all the unimportant things, these two products are SO different, the cerave has pure vitamin c in high concentration and the vitamin C in vanicream has a vitamin c derivative and it’s in very small percentage 5%.

      Percentages of L-AA and derivatives are NOT equal, meaning you do not need the 10%-20% of a derivative that you need for studied L-AA. 5% is definitely in the range of efficacy as studied for THD ascorbate.

I cannot use any form of a sportic acid. My skin has been fine with the vana cream vitamin C. I've only been using it for a few weeks so not sure of results, but I use it like a moisturizer in the morning. It doesn't make me more oily

    I actually just purchased the Vamicream Vitamin C, i have rosacea and I read this was the best form of vitamin c for that skin condition. I also purchased the Paula's Choice super antioxidant serum which has THD vitamin C in it, is this enough for vitamin C serum that is kind of formulated with antioxidants or do I need to have a separate vitamin C serum to get the benefits. I'm currently using the dermatica compounding pharmacy for my rosacea which consists of 15% azelic acid, metronidazole and ivermectin. I have broken capillaries - so I am not sure why brimodine was not included ? Watching your rosacea videos have helped me tremendously. I developed rosacea about 6 months ago after having multiple heart attacks. Preciously other than some fine lines and wrinkles that come in the late 30s my skin was flawless, so I spend so so much money trying to treat it on my own. This probably goes with one of your other videos but I really like the peach slices form of azelic acid 10%, i use that every other day with the dermatica 20% azelic acid in the AM because it was irritating my skin barrier and I had some significant purging. I really love Procure Rosacare moisturizer for the mornings it has licorice root and niacinamide in it and a green tint and so affordable, it really calms my skin. This vitamin c journey is just extra tricky because I've not tolerated any vitamin c in the past, that's why I thought sandwhiching it into an antioxidant Serum would provide protection- but will it provide benefits of vitamin c ?

    A BIG NO on the CeraVe serum! Gave me an awful chemical burn. Kept burning after I triple-washed it off and even for 10 days following it! I couldn’t use any face products except for Vaseline because my face was so very sensitive from the serum. Bad stuff. And my skin is normal, not dry.
    I would definitely try the Vanicream because their product line was developed for cancer patients under treatment who had extremely sensitive skin. I love the whole line. Their Daily Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin is wonderful.
    The vitamin C product I’ve used for a long time is Timeless 20% Vitamin C, Ferulic Acid & Vitamin E Serum. It gives me no trouble at all. They have a 10% formula if you’re just starting out with vitamin C.

    Thank you so much for making this video! I've been trying to make the skinceuticles work for me for years since people say it's less likely to cause irritation than other l'ascorbic acid products and supposed to be the most effective, but it has always caused so much irritation for me even when using a few times a week. I've found it's more irritating than tretinoin. High hopes for this CeraVe one will be both effective and less irritating!

    • @johnmichaelarnaud
      @johnmichaelarnaud 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      L-AA will ABSOLUTELY sensitize you if you are prone to it, I don't care what they do to their formula. The reason for this is because pure L-AA serums have to be maintained at a low pH, and not everyone's skin responds well to that. So acidic is acidic, it doesn't matter how many soothing ingredients they add to the formula. I personally can't use it, and I certainly wouldn't pay Skinceuticals $180 to make my face red and irritated. Maelove was the worst for me because of all the extra citrus extracts they put in it, no thank you.

      Cerave has specifically addressed that apparently by stating on the product details the following:
      “Color might change to amber overtime; this does not effect product quality of efficacy”
      Not sure what the reasoning is for this change but allegedly they state there’s no difference in quality which I wonder what facts back that statement up besides just trusting them 🤔 and no explanation as to why the amber color is appearing in the first place if it has nothing to do with oxidizing the funny part is they never say it doesn’t mean it’s not oxidized just that quality is the same but that could be towards any ingredients it’s not specifying either

    I like create but I do notice it oxidizes very quickly which just leads me to believe its not getting into the skin and doing anything so I don't think its worth It and as for the vanicream I like it because it adds more hydration to the skin and ceramides so if the vitamin c doesn't do anything i am at least getting extra hydration and ceramides.

      Not pore clogging. If anything it opens them up 😅. I like it well enough but after consistently using 3 months I don’t see much of a difference. After I use it up I might try Azelaic acid. I have no complaints on the Vanicream. I first tried an unknown brand and it was very sticky. I use that on my arms and legs now. I really question wether Cerave is effective, would be nice to see independant clinical trials and stability data. In my experience it's one the least stable ascorbic acid products I've seen, it turns brown extremely quickly... and there's nothing in the formula that gives it that yellow color other than the ascorbic acid degrading.. l-ascorbic acid does not have a yellow color naturally...

    • @dr.jennyliu
      @dr.jennyliu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CeraVe is owned by L’Oréal the same family as LRP and skinceuticals so I trust they have effective vit c. And yes LAA has a natural yellow hue. Even with SkinC the best studied vit C serum in the market it comes with a yellow tint

    • @peterkloostermann
      @peterkloostermann ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dr.jennyliu LAA does not have yellow hue, just mix LAA in water and you will see it is completely clear. Larger companies indeed often have the budget and facilities to do the right testing and research, and for unstable ingredients like retinol or ascorbic acid I would also tend to advice to go for larger companies. But it's not a guantee for a stable formula. LRP C10 is maybe even the most unstable vitamin C Ive seen. Btw that patent that L'Oreal now owns says that the formula should be clear just after formulating and only after the stability test it was pale yellow, skinceuticals is often already yellow to beige when you get it and it simply turns brown quicker than some competitors. And no ascorbic acid itself does not have a natural yellow color... Tocopherol could give it a slight yellow color perhaps. It does have some clinical trials indeed, which is nice, but how fresh were those formulas compared to what we as consumers get, and more importantly how does it compare to more affordable products. Something like 160 dollars imo is just insane. A patent is also not a proof or guarantee that that is the only, or best way to formulate vitamin C. These days there are much better techniques to stabilize ascorbic acid. At least products like Timeless and Geek&gorgeous remain clear much longer, made fresh, and you don't go broke to buy a new bottle every one or two months. But I'm quite skeptical of any ascorbic acid product on the market, would be nice to see more clinical trials and stability data..
