ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING:
The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 title with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as backto back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the latest competition build from the Hawthorne, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Race car? Not really as it is not designed to be the fastest car in a timed event. Exhibition car, yes. It is all about going slow for show.

I've been drifting for 17 years, I'm not really a fan of Formula Drift or pro drifting really, but this channel gets me excited about it. Thanks.
The great irony of this channel is that you wish these videos were 3X longer because they are so concise where, on the other hand, you wish most videos on youtube were 3X shorter because it's just so much fluff. This gentleman could teach a college level course in 5 hours. Thank you much for respecting our time and giving us such well done videos.

I've heard the saying 'Don't call my guns millitary grade, they're much nicer than that.' IIRC what you want is Industrial spec, as that's made to be reliable fixable etc.

I have followed his career a very long time and the Steph of 25 years ago is the same Stephen Papadakis !!!!....always always the Professional, Extreme Automobile Racing Legend in his own time...very very few can lay claim to that title....
i love how he explains everything in a way that people new to motorsports can learn, but those of us that have been into it for years don't feel like we're being talked down to. that's a really tricky balance to nail, but he does it effortlessly. and he makes building amazing cars look easy too.

This is one of my favorite TH-cam series. Very well done. I love that you guys built up a new Supra with the stock engine. I think if more people did builds like this, maybe it will be a tuner dream car like the original Supra.

Apart from the fact that this guy and his team build beautiful machines, that I am in love with the new supra, that both these things are mixed together...I love that I can sit at home and easily follow along with his commentary and still get useful tips from a 1000hp FD Supra build like the washer tabs. I am certainly going to be using those tabs on my trashy E30 1UZ build.
