@@BenTalksTalent It was a very casual conversation with the subject expert. He basically just asked me some questions based off my resume and expected me to tell him more in details so he could tell whether I know what I’m talking about. It went really well. I got email confirmation from the recruiter that I would be going to the next process - the panel review. There I need to prepare a 30 mins presentation and show some different projects I’ve done. So far everything is going well! Thank you for all the tips. It really helps me feel prepared. :)
@@xiaoYanddabai Hi there, quick question. For the projects presentation portion. Are the projects they expect you to show personal projects? I only wonder because the vast majority of my projects are work related so I would not be able to show those. I just worry that I wouldn’t have a meaningful personal project made that I would be able to display to them?

The best way to pass interviews, is to research all the info you can. Preperation, knowledge aboout the company, how to present yourself etc. If you know how your interviewer is going to approach you, you have an advantage by knowing exactly what they're looking for

@@BenTalksTalent I’m excited to watch them. Tesla and Apple are my main two. I’m also looking at 3M , Dell, and Yeti. You have so many videos with amazing content. Do you have an overview/complete guide to job search, interview preparation, dos/donts, salary negotiation, etc? I think that would help a lot of people who are looking for jobs.
I do have a salary one. It’s super comprehensive. 3M is on my list to profile. I do have a complete first round prep guide to for general interviewing.
I just finished my second interview with TESLA it was the Hiring manager. I crushed it after watching your videos and taking notes. At the end I asked if I could speak with some of the team members and he said actually yes and he was putting through to the next round and it was a panel interview and I could talk to them then. I should get set up with the recruiter in the next week for that interview.

@@BenTalksTalent I will, I talked to the recruiter yesterday after she asked for days and times next week for the panel interview and she said " It is getting scheduled electronically so it does take some time however it will be one of the time frames that you mentioned. Be on the lookout for an email from a recruiting coordinator confirming the interview". So, in the meantime, I will continue to study your videos and get ready for this last step in the process!

I took a sabbatical year (personal sabbatical) and I am ready to get back to work. I had a job interview with Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin for Quality Engineer 4 days ago. Now, looking forward to hearing about second interview which is a technical one. I believe that I will get it.

Today I just completed my fourth interview, and now wondering if I’ll be selected. I had 3 30min interviews, and was invited today for two 30 minute in person interviews and was given a tour around the office. They wanted me to meet the hiring manager, but she was out of the office.
That sounds pretty positive to me.

Hi Ben, thank you for the video. At the beginig of interview process, recruiter from tesla told me that they give a feedback after a week about every interview. But after 2 weeks, I've not got any feedback from my 3th interview. Do you think is it normal, should I worry about the situaiton :)? (Yes I've also send a feedback email, they didn't response me ...)
Well, it’s not unusual for things to take a long time but two weeks out and no response, I would probably be a little worried at this point to be honest.
Would these apply for an internship? It will be my first internship and all these thoroughness is really scaring me!
Not necessarily. Full time roles and internships are usually pretty different in terms of interview process. Don’t be scared, be prepared! You got this!

I’m only 17 and I’m very interested in becoming a mobile service technician at tesla. I own a tesla and have been involved with them since 2018. I really don’t wanna mess up my chance at getting this job and I know it’s still early but I feel like I’m too late haha but thanks for this video.

I applied for the warehouse position had 3 interviews last one was the hiring manager this past Friday spt.2 haven't heard anything don't know if I should call the recruiter since it was a holiday on monday
I don’t think there is anything wrong with following up Friday if you haven’t heard anything. Just be polite and interested.

Hey Ben! What were you meaning when you spoke about the interviewer will already know one’s answers. You mean they can see what you will say based off the resume right? Lol
Meaning they ask a bunch of questions several times at multiple stages in the process and they share notes, so you examples should be consistent.
Does it make sense to talk about hobby projects if they are more interesting than the latest job?

The recruiter said they mostly ignore applications since they get thousands of applicants and use recruiters to only get good applicants.

i have an upcoming internship interview with , but am struggling with the “most proud of” accomplishments question. I don’t have comprehensive technical experience so wouldn’t be able to give them some higher technical problem and go through my process. its more smaller/hobbyist projects that ive been dealing with. any tips?
As an intern there is less pressure to have significant work history and work examples. I would pick a complex project at school that required you to solve a problem, go above and beyond or work collaboratively. That should do the trick. If you can, pick a few!

I had one recruiter interview then test and then phone interview with Hiring manager and screwed there.... all technical questions......

How extensive is the first call with the recruiter?
The people I’ve talked to have said it’s quick and efficient. I’ve heard 25-35 minutes 👍

The interview process for anything is cancerous. I just want a job like everyone else does. If I like a company its because I think it is different and exciting. The whole interview thing is like a first date and sometimes you have to kiss ass to get her home. If I am qualified that's it. I don't want to be answering dumb questions.
I don’t blame you! It’s why I made this channel, to help great people (whether they are software engineers, buyers of HR) but not good interviewers succeed. The best people don’t always get the job, it’s often the best interviewer. Hopefully I can help shift the balance a bit. But I get your frustration.
Ben Talks Talent - Interview Advice . Yeah your a great help. I recently had 2 interviews with Tesla and I have my third one this week. The people that interviewed me were very unprofessional and laughed at me when I gave a solid 5 year response to the typical question. I basically said I would love to move further in the engineering department. They also asked me the technical questions that I nailed and gave them textbook answers and one of them went to mark me
Wrong but his partner had to stop him because I got it right. This happened 3 times as well.
Mike Ta no I didn’t. I ended up getting a 4th interview and they basically said I’m hired and they really liked me. they said that they would reach out to me the following week. It’s been 6 weeks since. I don’t think I’ll be hearing back.
@@AlexMartinez-mu7lz no way, why havnt u reached out to your main recruiter? I would have never just sat back and waited 6 whole weeks. It sounds like u got it, the last manager u interview with basically discusses with recruiter if they want u on board and decides what level u come in at, thats what happened to me. What sector is this? im in the Solar energy division. I stayed in touch with recruiter the whole way, thats key.
Mike Ta I had followed up and emailed the 2 last people I spoke with saying it was nice to meet and that I hope to hear back soon and that was a couple days after the interview. I was interviewing to becoming a technician with a focus in engineering for moving up the company since that’s what my degrees are for.
