One of my favourite things about this series is that no one is treating Rosie with kid gloves. I find that a lot of people - whether intentionally or subconsciously - tend to infantilize people with disabilities but everyone’s bantering with her without a second thought. It probably helps too that Rosie gives as good as she gets.
its so funny how jack and rosie both have this attitude of "I think we're very reasonable and efficient" throughout the whole team task as slapstick bits keep happening to them.
When the first team task aired, I was a little bummed that Rosie and Emma weren't paired as a team. But, now I'm grateful that we've gotten to enjoy the epic pairing of Captain Jackie and the Hotdog. Wouldn't have it any other way!
Rosie's cerebral palsy has made the tasks for this series generally a lot more creative than usual. There are so few "fastest wins. Your time starts now" type tasks this time around and it's allowed all the contestants to flourish.
also, in tasks where precision is key (like one of the final tasks, I can't remember what episode) the other contestants do a really good job of displaying that you can live your life without cerebral palsy and still be dog shite at aiming.
@@pipster1891 The show already has to be more creative when it's been going on for 18 seasons at this point, and making sure the tasks can be fairly completed by a contestant like Rosie is the least of their worries. Besides, she's been a fucking delight the entire time and one of the more intelligent contestants on the show for how she's figured out the secret to tasks.
The people who record the b roll for this show have a spectacular job. “Hey, it’s raining. Go roll a couple of those glass orbs around in the puddle out front and record it.”
I'm always impressed by how many different shots of planes they get, it has become my mini east egg I watch out for. I got excited by the shot of Baba with the pressure washer on the plane flying over his shoulder.
Thanks to Taskmaster and Channel 4 for uploading this to TH-cam and making it available in other countries. As a German, I really needed this distraction from political events.
I do find it very funny how some comedians prove themselves not to be as friendly and relatable as their comedic personas. and yet jack dee repeatedly shows himself to be a softie lol

Baba admitting he messed up the prize task rather than debating it was hilarious! Other contestants would've raged over that, if Ed Gamble messed up he would've turned red (in a joke way).
So grateful in the states for these episodes being available. The last 46 minutes of my evening are filled with some hope. This is an actual masterpiece in inclusivity and the discomfort that comes with it we must sit in to become better, more compassionate, loving, and capable of working together as human beings. Thanks for sharing this art. It might sound simple but it’s not. This matters. I’m not someone who ever gets to be represented by someone who gets to be funny. Who gets to get frustrated. Who isn’t pitied but doesn’t have to overcome to the extreme to her detriment to keep up. This show is gorgeous and I hope there are more folks here in the states paying attention to how much laughter and joy can exist in the tension of challenges. Seriously. This is filmed obviously but they could have edited a lot out but they don’t. People struggle. They get it wrong. They could be humiliated by their own silliness but no, they laugh. We need to do the same. We need to accept different minds and ways of doing things as long as we have a common goal. We can work together no matter our differences. I’m grateful to Rosie for being such a badass and being so patient with a fully able bodied cast and crew. She’s completely outnumbered and constantly I’m sure having to explain herself in a time of 160 character patience and it’s probably a bitch. Matter of fact, I know it is. I love this show. Love it. Consider others perspectives, it makes life such great fun
I've said it before, but Rosie Jones literally radiates joy. She's been a wonderful part of this series. Teaming her with Jack was a stroke of genius, too.
Shoutout to Taskmaster for being such an inclusive show. There hasn't ever been a single contestant I didn't like and/or didn't find funny at the end of a series. I sometimes struggle with audio processing and thus can get really annoyed really quickly if I struggle to understand something and initially I struggled with understanding Rosie but with the always available subtitles I quickly got used to her speech patterns and within the second episode of this series started to absolutely love her, she is such a funny and cheerful person! And I love that Taskmaster decided to have her on the show and I love how effortless the inclusivity in the show feels. This really helps the show to make it even better!
I used to find her voice insufferable on other shows but I'm with you, she totally grew on me with this series and now I find her an absolute joy to watch.

For me it was the other way around. I cruelly skipped over Rosie's content in other shows, it wasn't until this season of Taskmaster that I finally discovered what a gem she is, and what a tit I've been.
It's fun watching Jack and Greg swing between being hopelessly exasperated and utterly amused by Rosie Jones. Also, I get the impression both of those men would have a strong urge to destroy anyone who tried to hurt her.
She's the freaking best! I love how everyone is so sweet with her at times, too; she's so sharp-witted! Making fun of yourself and your own disability has got to be tough sometimes, but she turns it into her advantage!
Greg: "there might be pooh involved" Andy: "that was the disappointing follow-up to There Will Be Blood" Had me in stitches so much that i missed the next few gags and had to rewind 😂
I'd just like to say to the film and editing crew that I love the little interstitial segments between the tasks. I don't know exactly why, but they delight me to no end!
I've loved watching this season evolve from an awkward beginning. Everyone is different with such high contrast it makes for many an awesome moment. This is the kind of bonding that will have them sharing Christmas Lunches together for years to come
I think I figured out what happened with the blue tennis balls on the ground at 34:17. They actually did have ALL 15 blue tennis balls lined up (3 stacked on top) at 34:10 when Jack said they finished and Rosie was rereading the task. It cuts to her walking out of the dome (no task in hand), and cuts again to them walking in front of the house which is when 2 of the 3 stacked balls are gone. So it was likely just wind, gravity, or somebody bumping into the cow/gutter AFTER the task was completed but before they finished filming them walking into the house.

I feel bad for the mom who looked foolish on television, but the reality is that she was very close in terms of language, just not in terms of numbers. A furlong is an EIGHTH of a mile, rather than 8 miles.
So basically she has still no idea how long a furlong is 😅 60 sounds like 16, but that doesn't mean anything, when we start judging measurements by sound, all hell breaks loose 😂
the first few episodes i wasn't too fond of this series but one jack opened up a bit more and andys pure brilliance came through i have to say it's one of the best yet
It's so hard to pick a favorite cast member (luckily, I don't have to), but Emma's out-of-nowhere song kind of blew me away, from both the sheer whimsy and it actually sounding weirdly beautiful.
I find it hilarious how with this series scoreboard update, it shows that Rosie, who is literally disabled, is still significantly closer to 4th place than David Baddiel was in series 9
It's funny when an abled-body man is worse at something than a disabled person? Because that means he is REALLY bad at it? Check the deep rooted ableism in the fact that this surprises you. 😅
The Royal Dansk tin reminds me of something I witnessed that amused me to no end. My sister lost a button on her jacket, and she went looking for a thread and needle to sew it back on, and came across a tin of Royal Dansk biscuits, and she said, and I quote, "Hey, why are there cookies in here?!"
I really like this group of contestants. I've liked every episode of Taskmaster since episode 1, but I find the chemistry that this group has is the best. They don't compete to be funny, they team up to make things fun. Great season! Thanks for the uploads. It's a gift for those like me, who don't lve in the UK. 🥰
At 34:18 there's clearly one ball that wasn't placed on the gutter, while the task said "place all the balls on the gutter". But I think it's somewhat sweet that it's not brought up for contention, especially when the clip ended with "my man, my hero".
I'm sure Rosie would have done something chaotic regardless, but I can't help wondering how Alex and Co. (or I guess I should say Greg) expected her to benefit from three five-second phone calls.
@@olpabas I thought about that, but then wouldn't the call-ee likely be too confused to get the gist of their job within the five seconds? Maybe something like, "This is Alex on behalf of Rosie. How long is a furlong? Whoops, BRB."
@@cat_or_pillar perhaps - but that's kind of what happened for the other contestants too. Also somewhat similar to the disadvantage she's had at other tasks where she relied on Alex's help. She could also have had him call someone he knew, or perhaps she could have tried something potentially clever like call Alex. Anyway, I agree it's a disadvantage for her, but to me it doesn't seem too out of line with other tasks. She's certainly come up with clever approaches before.
I haven't watched the rest of the episode yet, but Greg's complete annoyance and exasperation in the first 8 minutes just has me crying with laughter. It's been at an upwards trend the past few seasons, but it's *really* getting to him here. Edit: of course, I meant to say series, not seasons. My apologies.

Jack Dee and Rosie Jones is honestly my favorite pairing in Taskmaster history at this point. Their whole dynamic just cracks me up. The entire cast this series is great but those two have me grinning ear to ear.
We recently missed that our manager had bought us some biscuits because we assumed it was sewing supplies or buttons or something. Every single one of us was surprised to find it actually had biscuits. Another manager later threw the tin out before we'd finished them for the same reason. NOBODY EXPECTS BISCUITS IN A BISCUIT TIN

I spent November 6 getting a root canal. 2 1/2 blessed hours not thinking about the election. I been binge re-watching Taskmaster for the past week.
This has to be one of the most likable casts of Taskmaster. I was only familiar with Rosie but have grown to love everyone here.
That is the charm of this show, isn't it. Almost every series ends up with my loving the whole cast. Wonderful show.
Andy was a new face for me. But I've come to love him.

I find it hilarious how with this series scoreboard update, it shows that Rosie, who is literally disabled, is still significantly closer to 4th place than David Baddiel was in series 9

The Royal Dansk tin reminds me of something I witnessed that amused me to no end. My sister lost a button on her jacket, and she went looking for a thread and needle to sew it back on, and came across a tin of Royal Dansk biscuits, and she said, and I quote, "Hey, why are there cookies in here?!"

There's some sort of irony to the fact that a show where the main premise is the host being a jerk is more accepting and kind than most other shows.
Emma is I think my new favorite contestant through the whole series. She's so charming, beautiful, clever, and friendly all at once.

I really like this group of contestants. I've liked every episode of Taskmaster since episode 1, but I find the chemistry that this group has is the best. They don't compete to be funny, they team up to make things fun. Great season!

At 34:18 there's clearly one ball that wasn't placed on the gutter, while the task said "place all the balls on the gutter". But I think it's somewhat sweet that it's not brought up for contention, especially when the clip ended with "my man, my hero".
And Alex is staring right at it. Really surprised they let that one go.

I'm sure Rosie would have done something chaotic regardless, but I can't help wondering how Alex and Co. (or I guess I should say Greg) expected her to benefit from three five-second phone calls.

@@olpabas I thought about that, but then wouldn't the call-ee likely be too confused to get the gist of their job within the five seconds? Maybe something like, "This is Alex on behalf of Rosie. How long is a furlong? Whoops, BRB."
@@cat_or_pillar perhaps - but that's kind of what happened for the other contestants too. Also somewhat similar to the disadvantage she's had at other tasks where she relied on Alex's help. She could also have had him call someone he knew, or perhaps she could have tried something potentially clever like call Alex.
Anyway, I agree it's a disadvantage for her, but to me it doesn't seem too out of line with other tasks. She's certainly come up with clever approaches before.

I haven't watched the rest of the episode yet, but Greg's complete annoyance and exasperation in the first 8 minutes just has me crying with laughter. It's been at an upwards trend the past few seasons, but it's *really* getting to him here.

Yes, was also kind of shocked Emma got the 5 pts from him... But then not, cause the rest were fairly crap & this she got pushed over the crapper by Alex trying to argue they were leg containers & Greg just getting grumpy against Alex 😂

Jack Dee and Rosie Jones is honestly my favorite pairing in Taskmaster history at this point. Their whole dynamic just cracks me up. The entire cast this series is great but those two have me grinning ear to ear.

The pairing of Jack and Rosie is genius.
We recently missed that our manager had bought us some biscuits because we assumed it was sewing supplies or buttons or something. Every single one of us was surprised to find it actually had biscuits. Another manager later threw the tin out before we'd finished them for the same reason. NOBODY EXPECTS BISCUITS IN A BISCUIT TIN
