For the barrel task I would've just gone to barrel 9 and ended the task. You only have to complete the challenge on barrel 1 to proceed to the next barrel, which is 2.
Not really, they eventually die during moulting due to exhaustion or because they stop moulting and die due to a broken shell. This is part of their biology as well. Without the shell stuff they'd likely be immortal, yes.

Amazing episode, one of the best in the series - But I feel that Jack got massively shafted in that first task. He found some special glasses, didn't know it wasn't "the" special glasses, and Alex was like "alright I'll stop the time" instead of telling him (like he normally would) that it was the wrong glasses - and then Greg gave him 0(+1) points. I feel that Alex was at 100% at fault there and Jack shouldn't have been that penalized, if at all...
This is just another step in Alex's True Villian progress. Same as the 'find the flag/hole' task where he literally blocks the correct option at first. He must be stopped.
What have we learned today? Well, we've learned that no matter how much you may want it, lobsters simply don't live forever. We've learned that goggles aren't glasses, and certainly aren't special.
