I honestly really love Rosie, but with my hard of hearing it's hard to understand the words she says, yet she is still my favourite and funniest for me!

I'm an American in my 30s and try to watch all the British comedy I can, but i admit that it confounded me when some of the older, dour gents showed up on panel or talk shows or podcasts and just weren't very funny and seemed genuinely miserable being there. Jack Dee and Frankie Boyle were top of the list. I'd never seen any of their standup, and it's taken this wonderful show to peel back the layers of their personas and show some of their real personality, and it made me really appreciate them. I just really love it when the silliness of the situation can get Jack Dee to break character.

@@elgatitodraven7501 There's no way of knowing if every person in the crowd actually understood her... I think it's more to do with how good people's auditory processing is, no matter the language. But I do also find it gets easier with getting used to her speech pattern. I had a lot of trouble last episode understanding her, already so much easier this time around!

Which means they will always understand+communicate faster and clearer thru text than anything else. deafness is a gradient and BC her cerbal palsy Rosie's mouth movements don't always give me (or anyone else lipreading) much info. When I first saw that it was them, my thought was, 'This should be fun.' Then seeing them actually interacting together and playing off each other I thought, 'OMG! This will be the funniest pair ever!' I can't think of a team that has been more diametrically opposite and yet work so perfectly together for comedy gold! Looking forward to the team tasks this season... and they are not usually my favorite of the show before :D
I love how Rosie plays off the "grumpy old man" type of comedians. Between her teaming up with Jack here and Sean Lock on Cats Does Countdown, you can tell she loves "breaking" their character and they have such a hard time not constantly smiling when with her.
Now I have to reformat my whole "fav contestants" hierarchy and I don't even know where to begin. In one episode she called Alex her little baby boy with delight and sincerity, and called him a toerag with basic show format derision and sincerity. She's a bundle of smiles, but she'll still call you a toerag and even that with just the hint of a smile

Rewatching series one waiting for the new episode and realising that these seemingly random names is the aussie rugby team from episode 4 was exhilarating!! There's just so much love and ingenuity in every little part of the show.
The moment I saw that Jack was paired up with Rosie, I thought that's tough and not fair because Rosie's tough to handle all by oneself. But then, it hit me Rosie being paired up with Jack is the only possible choice to be the most hilarious and I started laughing for minute straight just thinking about it.

(this is an honest question, not trying to be rude). but I think they might've meant they're not a native English speaker, like myself, so subtitles are very useful for all the different English accents. and a lot of people have trouble processing auditory words (dunno what it's called), so subs are useful so their brain doesn't have to catch up all the time.

Rewatching series one waiting for the new episode and realising that these seemingly random names is the aussie rugby team from episode 4 was exhilarating!! There's just so much love and ingenuity in every little part of the show.
The moment I saw that Jack was paired up with Rosie, I thought that's tough and not fair because Rosie's tough to handle all by oneself. But then, it hit me Rosie being paired up with Jack is the only possible choice to be the most hilarious and I started laughing for minute straight just thinking about it.
