I feel like the moment where Greg says to Ed "but you're a concious being..." and he responds with "OH I'M SO SORRY" is seriously underappreciated. Ed's sarcastic delivery is fucking perfect. So downright offended that Davies would hold his sentience against him.
Ed and Greg are also very good friends and have been on tour together. From other bits you can see there's a deep love and friendship between them so Ed getting upset here is extra funny :)

I think the master of swearing at and insulting the audience was Rik Mayall, so Greg may have taken after his father somewhat in that respect. And the more Mayall swore at made rude gestures toward and mocked and insulted the audience, the more they liked it.
To be fair, after getting back to the box, it took Greg a whole 2 seconds and a half to just smash the thing to the floor. So I assume if James hadn't interrupted, Greg still would have ended up smashing it within the next 5-10 seconds. But yes, it would still have been a long boring segment haha

Though it's still kinda funny since apparently they didn't tell Phil that it was another box so he spent most of the rest of the episode bummed about Greg smashing the box he submitted for the prize task.

The season with Daisy Johnny Kathrine and the other two I can’t remember their names was my favorite. Daisy just sitting at the end laughing the whole series. Katherine getting Greg Andy with the way she did tasks and Johnny just losing his mind the entire show every task was amazing
i love the full elimination at the end bc they literally look and sound like a classroom full of kids who just got in trouble esp with the hoodie pulled and tightened over the face literally reminded me of being in 7th grade and struggling to not laugh when the teacher told everybody to be quiet
I think this shows one of the many reasons the task master spin off didn't work. The other task masters tried to be fair and consistent... But a petty and judgmental referee is way more entertaining.
To be fair they probably just turn the machine on and get on with doing other things, not taking notice of what it does. Most people tend to be unobservant to everyday things like that. (And even if they had a tumble dryer there, putting a glass marble into a machine that gets hot would be a terrible idea!)
