the material for the inside emitter isn't showing the color. its black. when i was making the material on the tutorial..no color shown. any way to fix this?
when i try to render it apperantly the cube and the particle system and locked together and when i render it it shows the cube instead of the ball and particles. i tried hiding it but then the particles hide too. Help please
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CANNOT GET THE FLUID TO TURN BLUE AT 3:15 1. Change from wireframe mode to viewport shading 2. Hide the cube and outer sphere 3. Check where you "deleted" the vertex at the top of the sphere containing the liquid for me there was a false face still generated in this area. If you cannot see through the space into the sphere then click on the face and hit 'X' then select 'delete face'
If you use blender 2.83 you dont need to have a hole in the effector object. ie. the ball can roll around with fluid in it without leaking. For some reason 2.90 onwards wont do this-no fluid will appear in a sealed effector.

Have a huge problem, the domain box when I make the final render is still visible, if i disable the render Icon ( the camera) in the view layer and render the particles disappear and try to find a solution in forums but the only solution they gave is bake the mesh and render, obviosly that work but turn the particles into a liquid and donde want the liquid just want the partibles like U made it in this video, Am I mising something what can I do? sry for my bad english
Nevermind, I found it. For anyone else struggling: uncheck 'show emitter' in both render and viewport display. the checkbox is seen in the particles tab of the domain (cube).
Ik this was 2 years ago but at 1:35 I’m having troubles with finding the normals box in my viewport overlays the furthest it goes down is motion tracking I don’t have the rest of the options
In Edit Mode, if you press the Mesh Edit Mode button on the "right side" of the Show overlay button, you will find the Normals option as the second item from the bottom. It functions just like in the tutorial.

there is something weird, last time i already at 18:45 and then save it. next morning i try to see the liquid again and it wont appears i alrady turn on the realtime display modifier. anyone knows how to fix this?

In blender 3.01, and there are no particles whatsoever in the center sphere. It also never turned blue like it did for you. I went over this video 2x and retraced every step...what did I do wrong? Thanks in advance!
@@cheesecakefactory4560 did he say to do that? because i followed every step to a t and now my liquid is falling right through both spheres four minutes in. seasoned guys like this forget important details like that which hinders noobs like me from moving forward and having to stop an tutorial halfway. its frustrating. unless theres a glitch with fluid sim in blender 3.0.1. other sims i have no issue. its always water sim that gives me issue after issue
Hey, I seem to have a problem, when i have planar checked on the effector the sim breaks, i have it unchecked and the sim works but all the particles fall straight through. Any ideas?

Could you just use the sphere as a fluid domain object? So instead of having a cube-shaped domain and a spherical obstacle inside it, you could just have a spherical domain.
When I am changing my resolution division from 36 to 96 The inner sphere doesn't light up in blue and nothing happens at all, anybody knows why? Algum BR pra salva?
Mine just isnt loading any particles, I tried deleting more of the top of the sphere and upping the resolution by a lot and nothing is working. Can anyone help? Update: Just redid all the steps from scratch and somehow its working now so I will keep trucking on
Does the normals being flipped effect the material at all? I ask because I noticed when making a glass I some how flipped my normals and it looked off, after asking around, I checked and flipped them back and it actually affected the look a bit. Which I did not expect to work with the material being clear

Nice vid, question tho, my fluid was visible in wireframe and rendered mode, but when i rendered it, it wasnt there, just an empty glass ball. I slept on it and when i came back the fluid is now also gone in everything except wireframe. Help?
My question is how could we create the same effect with something that look more like a real liquid?? I made this tutorial and even in your video the liquid part since its made with a small ico sphere look more like sands and the liquid look pixalated. Is cranking up the resolution would help to remove that effect?? or to make liquid look like liquid its a total different process?
I agree. Bake simulation, then Create mesh from simulation, bake that. Then you can also add foam and spray particles, but you must bake each. There is a Blender 3.1 tut that shows this by MK Graphics.
I cant seem to get the particles to show up again at the end and when I press play where the keyframes are, nothing happens. I'm in camera view with rendered view switched on and on cycles and it's literally just a clear glass ball on the textured plane. I turned the liquid back on on the particle section and nothing happens at all. Does anyone know a possible solution please or what I've done wrong for future reference?

Hi, I have the problem, that the Icospheres in the Particle-system just change their color when I use the Object-Info. The Particle-Info is just outputting 0 at all channels. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I closed my project yesterday after completing the tutorial. The render worked. I made some changes today, and now the particles aren't showing. What have I done!? Liquid is switched on
@@SeJoVaDI07 I started the project again and had no issues the second time. Good learning experience I guess. Would love to know what happened though. I also went back to a previous incremental save and it was still broken. Very strange!
It's probably because the simulation cache was saved in a temp folder. Which means when you close the project and open it back up it will be gone. If you want to prevent this go into the domain settings and change the cache folder directory to a different folder.
Edit: The issue was fixed when I Redid the project, but another issue has emerged: When I save and quit blender, if I try to go back to the project, the fluid disappears. I have a question: So, I can't turn the domain(cube) invisible or else the water will disappear. But, there is little space between the cube and bowl, meaning for me, i can't have the entire bowl to be viewed. How do I make the cube invisible, but the particles visible?
I did the tutorial, and managed to do everything went perfectly and I rendered the first 41 images, but when I stopped and reopened it the next day but when I tried to re render the rest of the images the back simulation didn't didn't render despite it still being backed in the domain , do you know what happened or how I can properly save a simulation?
@@lexpst4675 Unfortunately no I have been too busy with other issues and I am no really good at finding sites or videos to explain or solve problems I have like I can't seem to find Dual Mesh in the Geometry nodes for example and all evidence tells me that it's supposed to be included in 3.1

For me it was the frame being at 0 and when i moved to 1 the liquid appeared. Hopefully this helps someone.

you can hide the cube in render..beside the hide option

Essentially Baking In allows you to view the particles in the viewport without blender lagging as much. It also makes it easier to render.

Nope that does not work. The domain will always be the shape of a cube even if you use a sphere.

Yes, if you repeat the steps you did with the sphere I’m pretty sure you can do it with any shape including custom models

you can use mesh settings in physics tab
I agree. Bake simulation, then Create mesh from simulation, bake that. Then you can also add foam and spray particles, but you must bake each. There is a Blender 3.1 tut that shows this by MK Graphics.

I am using 3.2.1, and I read few comments saying some problem rearding versions after 2.9. was this the cause of the problem?

Probably too late, but you have to re-bake the particles. So you hit "release data" and then "bake".
