I don't get chills. this song makes me cry, probably my top 5 most beautiful songs with Rain by brian crain, Hoedown - Copland, now we are free - hans zimmer, but this song really gets to me. its cemented as a true masterpiece
its amazing how a great piece of music can evoke such an emotional response so deep within our souls.this piece of the score has been running through my head all day. and listening to it now still brings tears to my eyes. thank you ennio for bring such beauty to our existence.
she is so much better than rihanna, adele, anyone called katy, araina grande, etc. i hate pop music. this has such feeling to it. especially when i can actually see what goes into making a tune so epic, modern music needs to be removed from the planet.
@@initialb5009 Not even Ennio Morricone would agree with you. He would shake his head and say: "Every kind of music has its place on that planet and it doesn't matter if it's orchestral music or modern pop".
I saw him live just the day of my birthday (25/11) My father gave me a Ennio disc with his greatest hits, inside were the tickets. To listen and watch this legend was the best experience of my life
You're so lucky! I wanted to see him but he died last year :'( But I'm still gonna see his greatest hits live and I will cry remembering him and his master pieces :') R.I.P Master Morricone, you will be missed
Hard Juan BRUH are you kidding me??? My mom and I thought he was dead, and its just ow i think about GOOGLE... wow i suck lol thanks for the info! U made my fucking day :D
Ennio Morricone was an absolute musical genius! His scores for The Good the Bad and the Ugly will go down in history as one of the greatest movie compositions of all time!
Seriously though. I am 53 years old and was there a better time to grow up than the late 60's and throughout the 70's. All the classic movies and music surely dates back to that era. Happy Days!! :o)
My child hood , teenage years and adult life have been moulded by Ennios' music .....I just love this mans talent and am ever so grateful for his music in my life ! Thank you sooooooooooooo much
How does someone actually push dislike? How full of themselves and their tastes does someone have to be to think this is a thumbs down performance. Good god...
I watch this now and again because I feel this is an exceptional performance. Even if you don't like this type of music, anyone with a brain can see quality of performance.
Ennio Morricone is not the musician but true magician. What a score he has given. Fistful of dollar, For a few dollars more, The Good the Bad n the Ugly, Once upon a time in the West n more. He n Nona Rota r the best musicians of modern Italy.
Over six million views and 322 people without souls. My mind cannot grasp anyone that would knowingly come here, obviously aware of the song and put a 'thumbs down' on a glorious work of art such as this. Simply calling this a "song" seems almost a sin. Coming from a guy that has been listening to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath since 1973 this may sound strange but in my opinion the music helped make the movie what it is...a Masterpiece.
NorsemanUSA Well put...but I believe as someone who also loves the bands you just mentioned it's not a stretch to love the score to this movie. Dark, dramatic, intense...One of my favourite scores...The fact that Metallica uses this as their entrance theme is no accident. Cheers
I just love all of the scores of Ennio Morricone, and also love Deep Purple, Alice in chains, Slipknot, Death, Nine inch nails, The Prodigy, Madonna, Mussorgsky, Wagner, Kow Otani, Rob Hubbard (C64 chiptune composer), Paul Oakenfold, Porcupine Tree, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, George Michael, György Korda (hungarian singer), Barbaro (hungarian folk rock band), Bad Religion, Jimmy Somerville, The Cure, Madness, Rick Astley, Sound Garden, Faith no more, Louis Armstrong, Bill Withers, Natasha Atlas and so on, near everything, these just a few example, but you are right... I just dont't understand, who is use dislike on any creation of talented minds? Why not just don't use like if don't touched by the music?
I absolutely LOVE this song and this performance, but I don't like the nasty "skip" in the video at around 2:02. Perhaps that is the cause of the very few likes.
I thought someone had commented on who the female singer was ... apparently I was wrong. However that is Susanna Rigacci. According to Wikipedia she is best known for her vocalizations of Ennio Morricone’s compositions for Sergio Leone’s, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Fistful of Dynamite and The Ecstasy of Gold. She is magnificent.
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL PEICE OF MUSIC I HAVE EVER HEARD.EVERYONE IN THE ORCHESTRA AND THE WONDERFUL SINGER IS FANTASTIC.WATCHING THEM WITH ALL THE EMOTION IN ALL OF THEM MADE ME CRY. ITS TRUELY FANTASTIC. THANKYOU FOR DOWNLOADING IT.
I'll be experiencing this live in Amsterdam coming June! Haven't been this excited for a concert since I saw Bob Dylan in his neverending tour! God, my insides are shaking in anticipation!
I used to collect original soundtracks, and this one I would play in anticipation of our busting out into the Gulf of Mexico at dawn in advance of our offshore fishing or tournament fishing.... fits perfectly.
Its strange that Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone had written this score, before filming started in Almaria in Spain. Leone knew exactly how he wanted the movie to look and sound like, and according to historians, he had no production notes, the whole concept, script and music were in his head from day one. The original Italian version was nearly three hours in length, 177min 23sec long, and he fought hard to keep the 26minutes the American film industry removed, thinking it was far too long.
Ennio Morricone is a genus in capturing and transmitting the energy of this magnificent piece corresponding to the cemetary hunt for the gold in the movie. Outstanding!
When the lady starts to sing, I make a big smile and I'm just staring at something out of this world. If there is such a thing as perfect, this is the closest I've seen so far in life.
RIP Morricone, may you bless everyone with your talent wherever your soul finds itself.

Yes, the music, plus it evokes an image of Tuco at the peak of the movie. RIP Eli Wallach.
Of course, there's Susanna RIgacci, too!
In the right mindset, it sends chills through my soul. I get emotional.
This is fantastic that woman has a GREAT voice

+Neil Seaver maybe they didn't like the recording equipment? It has weird jumps and static noise
+Desidium this video is from 2007. What else do they fucking expect.

Nothing's sounds more elegant in this song than the clarinet in the beginning. Simplicity is elegance.

Ennio Morricone um dos maiores gênios que já habitaram nesse mundo!
This is how a orchestra should sound.... Very good...
The best thing about it is that the movie didn't need dialog to tell a story. The music's the only thing needed.
*fantastic..great morricone a genius of the music*
Best soundtrack ever! It hits me in the deepest of my soul. It is a vulcano of emotion...
The most remarkable performance in history
