Played this at my darling Dads funeral . 1931-2022. He absolutely loved The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Dad had dementia, and I would play this to him he knew what it was straight away. But had no idea who I was. Love you Dad and miss you x

They also played this at my grandfathers funeral.
He passed quite suddenly, talking to my aunt afterwords i mentioned one of my fondest memories was the multiple rewatches of this film we shared (old italian guy loved his spaghetti westerns)
I couldnt make it to the funeral in time (from australia to europe), but my aunt requested this as the last piece of music played, brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it now but brings me back to the time we shared.

Grande, Grandissima Compositore: Ennio Morricone un Genio...che avrebbe meritato tanti Oscar; von condivido però, l'idea che " se fosse stato americano avrebbe vinto più Oscar": è solo questione di essere " fuori dal coro, di essere onesto,pulito...troppo bravo,tanto da oscurare gli altri"... ma,soprattutto, di non far parte di un sistema mediatico, di non essere servo di nessuno! Burt Bacharach , altro Grandissimo e Geniale Compositore ( insuperabile ) era americano...e di Oscar ne ha conquistati " appena " 3,nonostante abbia composto straordinarie Colonne Sonore. A Burt Bacharach non è stata dedicata una stella sulla Walk on fame...e quando ci ha lasciati hanno " oscurato " tutto della sua Fama Internazionale, dando solo notizie brevi,frammentate: anche Burt Bacharach non ha mai fatto parte del servilismo mediatico. Entrambi, però, hanno lasciato gemme musicali di inestimabile valore.

It is impossible to put the whole universe Maestro has created in one sentence. Not even in one word. The loss is immense, undiscrabable, and condolences goes to Italy but to the members of human race as well. What is left is that as long as I live, I'll always be blessed with two angelic concerts in Belgrade and Budapest last year. And with opportunity to show this treasure of pictures and sounds to my children. Grazie, Grande Maestro, riposa in pace per eternita.

Poi non contento, tentò di far tramutare quel suono in una melodia. E continuò la sua ricerca. Poi cercò di trasformare la melodia in un equilibrio di sensazioni, di lacrime, di nodi in gola o in struggente vitalità. Si guardò in giro, attentamente e scelse. Con un dito indicò Ennio. My father was a huge fan of Ennio's work, so I learnt from him what an amazing master Ennio was. After my father passed away, I kept listening to Ennio's masterpieces and remember those good times with my dad. So now, his passing strikes quite hard.
