    In December of 2018, before the world went nuts, I chose to celebrate my retirement with 4 nights at Paris in Las Vegas. I loved every minute of it. I hope to return soon to experience those restaurants that were not there back then. With that in mind, your reviews were amazingly helpful. Thank you!

    You totally nailed it in this video. The biggest drawback to Paris is the pool is just pathetic (unfortunately like every other Caesars property but CP), but that is why it makes such a great winter cheap stay. I know it doesn't fit the category of this video at all, but I think the Eiffel Tower restaurant is overlooked. Is it a tourist trap? HELL YES. It is also the single most romantic restaurant my wife and I have ever been to. The prices are stupid (think almost 3x markup on wine and champagne), but the service is a 10/10, the food is a much more upscale version of mon ami gabi, and the atmosphere cant be beat. There also is a really fun bar scene most overlook.

    James! Glad to see you back in Vegas, but your Mexico content was stellar. Really digging this new take on doing Vegas to give some variety in what to do on a decent budget. This could open up some new eye candy on your trips. Hope you're well and enjoying life like always. I'll be back to Vegas in May with a stay at the Delano with some close friends and their kids. Perfect place for everyone. Can't wait to see what else you get up to and I hope you go off strip and stay at some station resort casinos.

    Wow, I was wondering what was up when I saw your Instagram post about Martha Stewart's new restaurant. Definitely was NOT expecting this figuring you still had more Cancun content as well as Aruba and Punta Cana in the pipeline. 😯
    I like this new approach to Vegas content! I can't begin to imagine how you'll pull it off at the Fontainebleau when it opens, hahahahahaha! Bring it though! 🤩
    Another reason I love this new approach from you is that I felt your actual experience videos and Travel Diaries episodes were kind of bleeding together: where many of the Travel Diaries episodes felt more like working rehearsals on how you were going to describe and write your experience videos: which kind of made them a bit less personal aside from the ones where you shared funny and interesting anecdotes. This new approach feels more personal to me and is more reminiscent of some of your earlier Vegas reviews (which I preferred more in terms of pacing) but with a much-improved video editing skill set. Can't wait to see more of this awesome content! 😊

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Travel diaries have always been more personalized and extended thoughts than what are in my main videos. They've always been supplemental and ancillary to the core hotel context. Crossover - naturally; redundancy - never.

    • @MACMAMI
      @MACMAMI ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Coolist I understand! All I'm saying is that my favorite Travel Diaries episodes were those where you shared personal stories, or share all the essentials you bring on your trips, or where you talk about overindulgent days at the pool and Imitrex to the rescue, hahahahaha................things like that. I get that, naturally, you're recording the Travel Diaries' content first and the experience videos follow later, but are released obviously in opposite order.............so it's going to FEEL very familiar between the two naturally. 😊 But where I feel your Travel Diaries' content really shines is where you deviate from that and talk about things like I mentioned above. Or maybe in forthcoming Travel Diaries' episodes you can open up a bit more about some of your most memorable clubbing experiences (I know you kind of did that in one video where you mention how you memorized the floorplan and where DJs were performing, etc.)...........but I feel there's more potential there, as well as............for example.............certain places evoking lasting memories or teaching you important lessons in your sales work. Things like that. You're a great storyteller in my opinion and I think that would especially make for more awesome Travel Diaries content. 🥰

    Since I live on n the Phoenix area, I just drive to Vegas, and the few times I went up there, it was with a friend. This time I just bought a case of water at Costco and kept them in the trunk so they were with us wherever we went. We took a few to our room at the end of each night. I kept a couple in my backpack when walking around the Strip. The only time I didn’t drink water in Vegas was when we ate at the Excalibur Buffet for breakfast one morning (used a My Vegas comp). Had some cranberry juice since cranberry is more kidney friendly.

While I’ve watched the majority of your videos, I’ve never felt compelled to comment until this one. Never has anything you’ve put on here offended me and triggered me to the level I’m currently at as hearing Beer Park described as “frugal.” My wife and I went last year. Most people going to Vegas are not going there to eat cheese & honey. They are going to gamble, take in some shows &/or get wasted (at least some combination of the 3.) The budgeting factor also accounts for multiple people as well as additional expenses such as transport to Vegas & transport around the Strip - Downtown.

    That’s a great trip for under 1k!! Vegas is affordable when you know where to look

    Mon Ami Gabi looks like a good value for its food and overall experience.

    I want to see you review golden gate or circus circus.

      it would be a waste of his time, at least for circus circus. we did 3 nights there with a 7 year old for the adventuredome. rooms are gross and the food options suck. even my kid doesn’t want to go back, he liked mandalay way better 😂

      @@carriec5376 that’s why I recommend it. He reviews the nicer places all the time. It would be interesting to see him stay at the worst places and get his thoughts.

    The Vanderpump a Paris's desserts are amazing. You may have to go back for drinks and desserts!!
    NOBU in Paris is fun, if you sit at the bar. The bartenders give you all the weird drinks, that aren't on the menu....and was a great experience.

    What is your take in Punta Cana on the Riu? We are all about the beach and don’t want too many kids running around. We have used them many times in other parts of the world. The only thing we don’t like is some of those shows at night get a little lame as well as the pool activities get a little nutty. 😬

    I'm not one to comment. But the videos on the channel are solid. And I don't think you need to change your Vegas structure because of "saturation". Also, a video without the transition music typically on the channel was kinda weird. Your standard video and structure is solid and unique to your channel. Don't mess with what works.

      Just switching it up and working on some narration techniques. The change in format is good once in a while - keeps us both on our toes. The Music, etc will be back. 😎
