I feel like I don’t need to stay here in real life because I vicariously stayed in the hotel with you during this video. Thanks! You’ve just saved me £1500!
I think these kind of hotels are for those who love art and luxury...me, I'd rather spend that much money on traveling to the remotest places of the world and experience adventure.
I was actually expecting this to be closer to £5,000+. So seeing it was 'only' £1,500 I actually think that is pretty reasonable. For a once in a lifetime trip or a honeymoon, staying for one or two nights seems at least within reach.
Dubai to me can be compared to a plastic flower. Also, if a hotel has the gall to call itself anything higher than 5* (which, in global rating systems means nothing) I wouldn’t expect the following: - A charge for snacks and soft drinks from the mini bar. - No comp airport transfer - being told ‘no’ when asking to look at the facilities. - Seeing poolside loungers crammed together. - Decor that hasn’t been updated much in 20 years
Those lids are not useless, its for preventing dust from getting into the glass, ive worked as a housekeeper myself and dust builds up crazy fast in these rooms
I love the fact that we have 'ordinary' blokes like Tim giving us the real tour without the unnecessary bs that we're otherwise spoon-fed with when it comes to places like this. I know this world has all kinds and that some are so occupied with the luxurious lifestyle that they can't see beyond it. For me personally I can definitely appreciate beauty. But when it comes to luxury it only gets to a certain point until I just don't care anymore. At the end of the day even the most expensive high-end exclusive meal you could ever eat has turned into literal shit. And that's sort of the point, no matter how hard you try luxury isn't sustainable. It can perhaps be enjoyed for a few hours but then what? Do I actually get happier knowing that the handle I used to open the door costs 400 pounds rather than 40, or when adding things up it really doesn't matter?! All this being said, I've seen the Burj Al Arab from the beaches outside and now Tim has showed us what the inside looks like. I'm good. And thank you!
@@Rhiner-jx4tnlol what does your response even mean? That he’s broke because he’s not impressed with expensive door handles? Only poor people are impressed with something that mundane.
I agree with all of this. My favorite hotel stays have had small luxuries such as sashimi in the shape of roses for breakfast, beautiful landscaping outside, and lots of unique entertainment options. I’d worry about accidentally adding another thousand dollars on my bill by using the wrong items in my room if it came with extras that you had to pay for. A million tiny, extravagant courses for meals have never appealed to me. Make my stay pretty, comfortable, delicious, and fun and I’ll be delighted! I’ll enjoy myself more if I don’t feel like I have to pretend I’m fancy.
Its not abort The Price of The handle its The materiales craftmansship and design The guy doesn’t even know what a jewlerybox is im sorry Tim but you need a woman
I really like how honest and open you are about your expenses, you don't pretend at all and it's nice to see you asking if things are complimentary or they charge you for them. Even though I can't afford to visit these places, it's still nice to know about the experience and expenses. Thank you so much for your amazing content.
There is something so pure and wonderful about seeing the guy who spends a lot of time checking out the worst that Britain has to offer holiday wise suddenly shooting up in the world. A very well deserved stay. Also loved the way the tour was exactly the same style as you would do in the Holiday Inn, Travel Lodge or Pontins.
I had the pleasure of staying here for a while a number of years ago. Apart from some of the furnishings the rooms are still exactly the same. If you add up all the free goodies you get, Hermes toiletries, chocolates, a decent bottle of wine per night etc the actual cost is not too bad. The architecture is stunning and the service excellent. There used to be a massive fountain spray on the water area with the little water jets, (they are supposed to represent fish) which used to shoot up and then cascade down with minimum splash. The underground seafood restaurant was great, you reached it via a small pretend submarine, the only problem being as you tuck into your fish, one of its brothers is looking at you through the glass. If you go to the beach, a buggy will take you there and when you come out of the water you get drinks and lavender scented towels given to you. It's nice to do it once.
The food was mediocre and cold. Who needs all that gold and glitz? The TV didn't work. The place was empty. You go there and support an Islamic state, knowing that women and children are oppressed, but they provide tons of alcohol, so you're impressed. I'd like to know just how clean those furnishings really are. The phones should be clean, but maybe they have a nice clean sound, because older phones are often better functioning than new ones. Overall impression? I'd expect better accommodations in a mid range hotel. Between houses, I spent a month in a Red Roof Inn for less than $100 a night. I could have my pets with me, the service was warm and personable. A complimentary breakfast was provided in the dining area, the food was hot, surprisingly good, there was quite a variety and they served it for hours and hours. I also spent weeks at a Radisson hotel and it was lovely. It cost a little more, but still very reasonable. Some people think that the more they spend, the better the service, but it's not necessarily so.
Thank-you for saving me time and money. I was unable to feel like I would get 1,500 worth of luxury from a stay here. I feel like I've stayed in other properties for 1/10 the amount and enjoyed similar features, amenities, etc. without all of the gold of course. Keep up the great work
Instead of spending 50k on a wedding you could save the money and spend 10k to stay a week in this room and use the money you saved to explore and travel.
Agreed. I think it’s overrated. Cool building though! The mark of true luxury is that when you pay that much, things usually aren’t nickel and dimed. That’s one of the differences between Spirit airlines and Emirates first class- no one expects to get on it and need to ask if each thing costs extra. The fact that he had to keep asking.. 😅. Another mark of high luxury is that nothing about it should give you any suspicion of low quality. Just like I wouldn’t buy a birkin bag and see inconsistent or flawed stitching, this kind of room shouldn’t have gold finishes on one side, and ratty, over worn, stained appliances in the other.
it appears a bit of a sham - they BUILT something that screams seven stars but then FILLED it with 3 star. For me Hands down the best service and luxury isnt always from the largest room. Stayed at the Taj in Mumbai. Easily as good.
I woke up this morning feeling down, I found your channel, watched 3 vlogs so far and am now as happy as can be. Ive "stayed" at 3 world class hotels with more to come, thank you
I've seen documentaries and quick presidential suite (or whatever they call their best suite) tours. But I never seen a tour of the Burj al Arab this in-depth. In lesser hotels, your suite could be considered a master suite. That pool area's heavenly. It's also sweet how you have a butler service for your room. Thanks for taking the time and everything to give us a first hand look into this exclusive experience.
TalialGhul, the butler-service and other perquisites are wonderful. The irony of this documentary is that the presenter bluffed his way through a lot of things, guessing how this works, and wondering what that was, when all that he had to do, literally, was to press one little button, and a butler would appear to explain everything and to make it simple and easy for him and then for the rest of us. Truly, luxury is often wasted on many people....even when it is right in front of them and all-inclusive service is available 24/7
If I could afford it, I would absolutely stay there. Life is hard and it’s great to be in a place where all your needs are taken care of. There’s nothing wrong with spoiling yourself once in a while.
I feel this way exactly. On rare, special occasions (WHEN saved for properly) it’s OK to spoil yourself. I stayed in a 5 star resort in Jamaica for a big anniversary and it was lovely with all needs catered for similarly. But, it was also so fancy, at times I felt too clumsy to be there at all. 😅 We traveled much like him. Prudently without breaking our bank. Well done, Sir!❤
@@raingirlcat2245 One of the positives about hotels like this compared to Disney is that it IS so expensive that less people go there and you have a better time. I have been to Disney and Universal and I hated it because it was way too crowded. Most of the time you were either walking or waiting in line. Not exactly a good way to spend a vacation.
@@cmykategirl Were there armed guards at your gated hotel? How about the crime if you dare venture out of the hotel? Cockroaches everywhere. You couldn't pay me enough to go to Jamaica again.
Exactly said. When you work hard for your money and you want to be spoiled go right ahead, nothing wrong with that. Money comes and goes, it all depends on us if we want to earn it or sit down for others to enjoy the good things that this world can offer us. Blessings to everyone ❤
Who would have thought it Tim? One minute you're in a grimy room at Pontins, the next you're living the absolute high life in Dubai. I'm honestly so thrilled your channel has taken off and you, and us with you, of course, get to see and experience all these amazing places. Love your vids Tim ❤
I loved seeing the inside of that hotel. I couldn't afford the airfare to Dubai let alone the hotel prices. Your adventure at the hotel was so appreciated! I feel like I was on vacation through your experience! Thank you so much!
Occasionally airfare to Dubai is quite within reach. Put the destination on airfare alert thru one of those airfare sites. Save your coins for hotel while waiting look for offers and eventually off you go
My parents gave themselves a five day treat at the Burj for their 80th birthdays. They really enjoyed it and my wife and I joined them for a couple of meals. Great memories, especially as a year or two later they both developed terminal health problems.
Okay, just watched your review of the Plaza in New York. These two rooms are very nearly the same price but are absolutely not on the same level. To even pretend both of these are world-class is a joke. This is what I expect from a room at $1900 USD a night. The Plaza seems like an expensive historical educational experience, like taking a day trip on a 200-year-old sailing ship. The Burj Al Arab seems like a genuine luxury experience.
There's a lot of movies that do The Plaza Hotel always wanted to stay at the Plaza Hotel. Hope to see you review of The Plaza Hotel no thank you keep up the good work thank you for all you do
This is an absolutely mental hotel, hugely overwhelming with everything going on. I think I'd struggle to stay, constantly worrying about what was complimentary and what wasn't. Thanks for spending the money so us mere mortals can see what it must be like to be rich enough to stay in places like this! Watching you go from reviewing travelodge to this is surreal. My favourite part of the video - the Primark swim shorts comment, I chuckled!
everything is totally free + the small menu there it was for a bar for non Muslims. + you don't book a room unless you are with a group of people or working on something (basically its not for random people )
If you lived there, like I did for four years, all the ostentatious frippery gets quite tedious. Drive out of the city and you hit reality - a hot desert of dunes, some basic straight roads and the odd camel.
@@lloydmorganmoore7810 yes indeed you have a coca cola, and you didn't say nothing for the 300eur champagne in the cupboard.and Michelin amuse bouche snacks for an almost penthouse?
We went for dinner there in the restaurant at the top. There was live piano and a singer, and the food was good, but ultra small portions. But for the experience of visiting and seeing the hotel, it was all worth it. We stayed at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in an Ocean suite with a massive balcony overlooking the Burj Al Arab, and we could sit outside and watch the light shows that lit up that hotel all evening. We loved it so much we went on holiday there three times in total. Prices have rocketed though and we'd need to win the pools to go back! Big downside for me - staff were verging on disrespectful to women. The butler at our hotel was all over my husband, but totally ignored me and didn't even hold the door open for me after holding it for my husband. It literally swung back in my face! All talk at the front desk was directed to my husband. They didn't even make eye contact with me. It was really noticeable, and something i've not experienced anywhere else in the world...and I've travelled a lot.
"Jumeirah Beach Hotel" Interesting, I will look into it. I don't think it is a disrespect but it is more of a religion/culture thing. I think you can't talk (normal conversation) to another man's wife as a Muslim Man (correct me if I am wrong my Muslim friends).
@@amanuelgetachew9356 well you can but its considered disrespecting both people if it isn't necessary, that said, not holding the door is unimaginable for a staff so the entire story most likely made up.
@@amanuelgetachew9356 you may only talk "business" with another man's wife yeah, casual conversation or informative conversation is not traditionally directed at women with their husband there
Another WOW is needed definitely, this hotel is so extra on every level. It’s great you’ve had the chance to stay here and document this for us viewers who can only imagine what it could be like, you’ve worked so hard on this channel to be able to make this trip to Dubai happen. Hope you enjoyed every second. You mentioned this in your livestream with Gabby and it’s worth the wait to finally see it, amazing video, thank you!
Surprising that the cost of a luxurious, 2-level suite was only £1,500 per night considering the view and all the included amenities. The experience was definitely worth the cost in my opinion....even if the decor was reminiscent of a hotel on the Vegas Strip and seems already a bit dated. Mirror on the ceiling above the bed? Kinky. That said, if I were staying there I would have splurged a bit and enjoyed the Michelin Star six course dinner rather than a pizza. Dubai is not on my bucket list but the lovely tour is much appreciated, Tim. 🥂
When I lived in Dubai I could get at least a 20% discount as I was a resident, which makes a lot of difference. The experience is worth it even if it is just once, but don't do the Afternoon tea as it's not as good as the ones in the posh hotels in London, but nowhere does afternoon tea like the posh hotels in London.
That would freak me out sleeping with a mirror on top of me. I agree about the dated phones, that was a pretty big oversight on their part. It's a hotel for people who love this style of luxury interior design as it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. It's giving me Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion vibes lol. That was a jewelry box next to the hairdryer, not a cigar box lol. Thanks for the review, was really well done !
Mirrors are an essential part of 1980's love motels. In fact it remained very popular within that branch to this day. I think that is the kind of charm that makes the Emirates so unique, they have a slight gravitation towards 80's kitsch, like: the coiled cord phones & intercoms, the old-fashioned seca scales and highly overpriced minibar items... (500ml Coca Cola costs between 3.50 and 4.75 AED and on the list they were charging 45.-)
Your content is so good. I like how you keep it succinct and focused on the facilities, no nonsense about your personal issues and such. I hate it when content creators try to make themselves the brand instead of the content we came for. Love it, love it, love it.
As a retired aerospace engineer who traveled overseas, if you are into conspicuous consumption and into "look at me", this is your kind of hotel. Enjoy!! OTOH, I wish that the hotel existed back when I had a business expense account... 😛
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. However I could do without watching you eat. There’s something about watching other people stuff food into their mouths that I find unappealing.
@@Notfiveo0 I think so to ,he seems to me very ignorant making remarks about this not his living keep that to yourself, just learn throughout the procces.
It costs the same amount for a janky suite in Disney. The floors are wood simulated vinyl and a view of some swamps and maybe some fireworks. There are a LOT of expensive hotels with limited customer service in the U.S. This gives me hope. Lol
Tim, you deserved it for all the Pontins, Butlins and seriously lacklustre other hotels we offer here in the UK. I loved watching this and no, I wouldn't pay £1500 to stay there. But the market they are pandering to is the one where that's not a problem. I'd rather do what I did and flew business class to Australia, to go on a tour staying a variety of accomodation from backpackers, Youth Hostels and 4* hotels. I loved the reveiw and hope you got to take everthing that was non-chargeable from the room! Look forward to the next vlog - (BTW Primark swimmers - who can tell the difference? Seriously?!)
It’s what happens as the hotel stars goes up, all the ancillary prices go up. I find it better to stay in my lane when going abroad, otherwise like Tim found, you have to be on your guard incase you get charged £10 for a coke.
Good to see the Burj after all these years. Really takes me back as i worked for the company who designed the Interior and one of my very first jobs out of Uni was to do countless cad drawings of various parts of the place. Must say its looking very dated now from a trained design eye but it has been a while! Really takes me back to that style of interiors that was cool back then for that region
@Walk With Me Tim congratulations on hitting 2 million views, the quality of your vlogs is outstanding, hard work, professionalism and attention to detail coupled with a true videographers eye and a passion for exploring, here's to a great future for you and the channel.
I'm with you. I don't admire or worship this kind of obscene wealth, whether it's jewelry, cars, houses or designer anything. I find it all far from impressive.
To be honest I would sooner stay at the Premier Inn, I would feel very out of place in that hotel. I found all that gold actually quite tacky, just too over the top for me. Those phones though, is that really the best they could do! Thanks Tim and I hope you took everything that was complementary in your room home with you!
Agree rather stay at Travelodge/Premier Inn type of place. When I went travelling the loneliest I felt was in a posh hotel; I soon swapped out to staying in guesthouse type accom.
I actually loved that you were asking "is it complimentary", I'd do the same (in fact, doing that in most of the NORMAL hotels I'm staying haha). Great video, not so great building inside in my opinion, but surely iconic and simply beautiful from the outside. And this is from where I will keep admiring it :)
That was one of the things I hated about staying there after paying so much money for a '7 star hotel'. I could find better 5 star hotels with better value!!
@@sunnydaze2359 I basically agree. Though I wouldn't mind having hand made blue Murano glass wash basin taps. With a turquoise cabochon indicating "Cold", and a red coral ditto for "Hot". But that's a gem collector speaking.... 💎💎💎🤗💎💎💎
Hi Tim, amazing place you must feel very plush to have stayed there. I would say that the box that you had trouble identifying at 8:27 is for placing jewelry, necklaces etc go in the tray and you would put your rings into the folds in the rolls at the side.
I’m Cabin Crew and your videos are amazing they get me through my standbys and layovers !!! Love how you document everything really love your videos Tim thanks for the great content ❤
Hi Tim, I have only just discovered your channel today but I really admire your style,I find you to be honest and down to earth. I also see you have done a lot of these reviews and will be watching them as I get time.
Quite new to this channel and this genre, so thought I'd voice my opinion. I've seen so many videos recommended on YT and other platforms that feed so much bs regarding the luxury lifestyle that led me thinking this would cost tens of thousands. The whole Dubai hype etc. crossed with seeing shorts/reels of expensive hotels... It genuinely made me so detached from reality with those types of videos. I'm so glad I subbed to you earlier and then saw this video because you gave a fair and real view with your opinions and experience as someone that isn't ultra wealthy. This is what makes you unique, because I have never come across this sort of content before. I imagine there are dozens of videos uploaded about this particular hotel and other hotels with a similar reputation to social media platforms, but how many of those videos actually give a true and honest view of them? Probably very view because most of them will be paid for by the hotel owners themselves.
8:25 The little box at this time stamp is for jewelry. The slots on the right are for rings or earrings. The tray would be for neclaces, bracelets, etc. Very nice!
I love my little Peugeot 107, going great after 14 years. I thought hotel room looked very comfortable, but it all looks a bit gaudy! Not into all that purple and gold. I agree about the cheap plastic phones. Gold plated, 1920's style would be nicer. Great video...❤
This video way surpassed any expectations I had of what would be there! Wow, is definitely the word to describe it. It was unbelievable really, everything we saw was beyond luxurious, apart from the phones. A spectacular video Tim!
I suffered with some agoraphobia for most of my life. Until I got some treatment. It really does help. Hope you get some treatment and give it time you'll get better.
@maureen14 I'm a recovering person with agoraphobia as well, the only treatment that helped me was exposure therapy. I had to force myself to leave the house until it wasn't scary anymore. But it definitely worked. Even doing things like walking to the mailbox are steps on getting better
Having been watching for a long time, this has to be one of the best videos you have put up. As I'm sure others have said it was brilliantly edited and put together. I'm surprised they didn't give you a free stay or a discount! As impressive as the suite was, and it was, the cheap kettle and phones, and the weak shower head (you would expect a rainfall shower maybe) were slight downers. All in all a fantastic video.
Tim, you did a great job videoing every stage of your trip to this splendor of a hotel. I so appreciate that you've made this all avaliable to dream about. I love your candour on all your hotel visits. Love from Denmark 🇩🇰
Just found your channel - thanks so very much for the Ritz - the Savoy - the Plaza and this one. Looking forward to more. As stated previous - what a wonder "vicarious stay". Thank You!
Our family of four stayed for a week on the new Disney Cruise ship back in 2011. It was $6,000 for seven days which included a lot . The decor at this hotel reminded me of the Disney Cruise ship. Thanks for helping us cross out that holiday!
The tray in the upstairs bathroom is for jewelry, the rolls are to put rings into, and the box-like side is for holding necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.
Hi Tim.. the suite you stayed with the red chaise lounge you sat on and the blue dinning chairs… where upholstered by my husband 🤩ps we love watching you and your family..Great filming and very informative Gina from Brighton 😊
I love your arrival with a modest car. Considering that some guests arrive with a helicopter, landing on the 59th floor helipad, your arrival is definitely distinctive. But what I love even more are your Primark swimming shorts. No one would guess they are not high end brand shorts unless you mention it.
Tim you know when your channel has become a major success, when you get to showcase hotels like this. I'm more elated at your success, than I am impressed by this beautiful Hotel. Love your channel.
The algo showed me your Plaza video before this one, and it’s insane to think that they’re about the same price! I suppose it’s the NYC of it all (hotels in Toronto where I am are also overpriced for what you get), but wow, when you see what effort they put into keeping it clean and fresh looking, compared to those sad velvet granny chairs in the Plaza!!! Really goes to show…
I do love how down to earth you are and am grateful that you took the time to show us what it's like. Some aspects of the hotel were nice but I found the colour scheme abit 1970s and abit too opulent for my liking. But thank you for showing us and now I feel like I have already stayed there 🙂
Honestly can really see the work you've put into this trip Tim, been watching your channel for a while now and love to see how it's grown, this is one of my favourites!
I'm totally addicted to your channel now Tim. I was watching another traveller vlogger that had a sponsor for a first class round the world trip and I was thinking....... I would love to see Tim doing this as you're such a natural...... unpretentious and so down to earth (the other vlogger was good too haha, not dissing him I promise). Anyway, your sponsored trip to Amsterdam came on immediately after and I'm so pleased to see you getting the well-deserved sponsors, you can really see the effort that goes into every vlog you make. Keep them coming 😄
[1] Thanks, Tim, for sharing with us what most people in the world will never see in a country that most people in the world cannot afford to visit. If it is "only" 1,500 Pounds Sterling equivalent per night, then it is pocket change for the royalty, sheikhs, Presidents, Emperors, and other ridiculously wealthy people in the world. . . . . For others, it is like a month's salary . . . or 3 months . . . or 6 months . . . or a year's income for billions of people in the world....Yes, you would be shocked to know how many persons are still under U.S.$2 a day . . . and how many are under U.S.$5 a day . . . etc.

This was so interesting and I think what I like is luxury without opulence. There is no need for all the gold and bright colors. I think a beautiful mountain lodge with wood and leather and a huge fireplace would blow me away more.
I work in housekeeping for a holiday company and thought exactly the same thing! 😄 Plus, with so much to polish in each room, they must have a LOT of staff working in teams for all of the rooms to be ready for occupation by 3pm!
Thank you so much Tim for taking us on a tour to one of the world’s most iconic hotels. Looking forward to more such trips around the world with you cause I am travelling too with you.♥️
We have stayed there 5 times and it is wonderful. We always did check in up in our suite, so I don’t know why it took him so long . The Hermes perfumes are complimentary. The only problem was they could not make cappuccino to save themselves.
Yeah that is true even in 2006 when we were there we got taken to the floor of our suite to check in and I don't think I had to do anything. I also remember never ever using the key to the room, the butler was waiting for us getting out the lift and opened the door haha it was weird but nice, like they had cameras watching you walking into the lift from breakfast etc
Great review Tim. The price of £1500 a night does seems expensive until you compare it to a luxury hotel in London. A suite in London which wouldn’t come close to the suite you just stayed in,would start at around double that price and breakfast would be additional cost with little to no sunshine. If you put that suite into for example the Dorchester hotel in London you wouldn’t be getting any change from £10000 a night. I wonder if Spandau Ballet get complementary rooms there?
Wow loved this! Have only ever been for drinks in the skybar before - one crazy expensive hotel but probably worth it just for a one off. Great video as always mate

I would not go near Pontins or Butlins They are in some places where I would not Board a Dog
@@christinedavis5813 ok...?
You don't get anything for free, it's all included in the price.
@@TheDennys21 Of course, but it's nice to not be nickled and dimed for everything.
would you do it again?
This actually sold me. Tacky furnishings aside, the service is what matters.
Keep up the great work
Totally agree

Hello Tim
You may not have the most expensive car but they are honoured to have you as a guest. You're as good as anyone else.x

I imagine there are dozens of videos uploaded about this particular hotel and other hotels with a similar reputation to social media platforms, but how many of those videos actually give a true and honest view of them? Probably very view because most of them will be paid for by the hotel owners themselves.

Well done! Tim your vloggs are really good! Ignore negative people im with you.
[1] Thanks, Tim, for sharing with us what most people in the world will never see in a country that most people in the world cannot afford to visit. If it is "only" 1,500 Pounds Sterling equivalent per night, then it is pocket change for the royalty, sheikhs, Presidents, Emperors, and other ridiculously wealthy people in the world. . . . . For others, it is like a month's salary . . . or 3 months . . . or 6 months . . . or a year's income for billions of people in the world....Yes, you would be shocked to know how many persons are still under U.S.$2 a day . . . and how many are under U.S.$5 a day . . . etc.
People travelling on government work get the taxpayer to pay for it. Plus the Business Class and First Class flights.
I mean cocaine makes a lot of money the third world people make that where’s it all go? The cash I mean. Not the coke? To entrepreneurs and resourceful people so each country has its strongest and smartest and each has its losers this is life my friend don’t worry so much and do as much as you can instead x
This was so interesting and I think what I like is luxury without opulence. There is no need for all the gold and bright colors. I think a beautiful mountain lodge with wood and leather and a huge fireplace would blow me away more.
agreed. I was surprised in how disappointed I was by how gaudy this room is. It looks like what 15 year old boys think fancy is
While he is going through stuff in the room my mind is going through OMG the house keeping needs so many check list to prepare for the next guest!
I work in housekeeping for a holiday company and thought exactly the same thing! 😄 Plus, with so much to polish in each room, they must have a LOT of staff working in teams for all of the rooms to be ready for occupation by 3pm!
@@bojo88 Especially as about each guest will leave his fingerprints on the gold ornaments.
Same
Thank you so much Tim for taking us on a tour to one of the world’s most iconic hotels.
Don’t remember asking

Great review Tim. The price of £1500 a night does seems expensive until you compare it to a luxury hotel in London. A suite in London which wouldn’t come close to the suite you just stayed in,would start at around double that price and breakfast would be additional cost with little to no sunshine. If you put that suite into for example the Dorchester hotel in London you wouldn’t be getting any change from £10000 a night. I wonder if Spandau Ballet get complementary rooms there?
You are right. A suit at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm would cost double with less luxury.
Underrated spandau ballet comment lmao
Wow loved this! Have only ever been for drinks in the skybar before - one crazy expensive hotel but probably worth it just for a one off. Great video as always mate
one-off indeed ha ha, Thanks mate
Walk with me tim I would stay here with my girlfriend 😘 when I get one hopefully Natahlie ❤
Nathalie
BTW I was in wells next the sea 🌊 last weekend you should do wells and walsingham light steam railway 🚂 🛤

lets go!!! Man I wish I would've thought of starting a channel like this years ago! Now you get to travel for free every where! Brilliant
just discovered your channel and i love your honest feedback. its rare to have people pin point the negatives of such hotels
Thank you for such a great tour !! 😊❤❤❤
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXCELLENT TOUR. Absolutely love all your videos. The hotel looks stunning & for the cost the suite on two floors is a complete dream. Carry on the GREAT work, look forward to seeing where you travel next. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I no longer feel like a retired shut-in; I am traveling the world in style with this handsome chap.
Wow but a bit over the top for me! That box you couldn't work out is for rings and jewellery I believe :)
Could be
@@WalkWithMeTim yes I was about to comment this. The bumpy part are for you to put your rings into, the big part is for any other items of jewellery. My nan has one haha x
Absolutely brilliant editing Tim...I've said it before, someone should be employing you on the TV Travelogue programmes as you are so good at it! I even dragged my husband over to the computer to show him this one...I just can't believe how the other half live. If I'm totally honest a weekend in the IOW would be more my cuppa tea! But for you to experience the lap of luxury is so entertaining...you work very hard and you deserve it. Had to giggle at the Primark swim shorts...bet no one would have guessed! x J x
Lol thanks judy
I've no idea if Tim has ever worked in TV or radio but he has the presence of someone that does. Hope he gets an opportunity to in future!
@@richardu He used to work on a local radio station, I used to listen to him every weekday at work. 😀
Been to Dubai a couple of times and had afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab, it was FABULOUS. The views from the Skyview restaurant took our breath away. Both the food and the staff were exceptional. Honestly Tim I can't believe that the Atlantis on the Palm is better than the Burj though. Great video and I can't wait to visit Dubai again. Great video, made me want to go asap!
I'm surprised to see you write that you had afternoon tea there. When I went to the entry area, about ten years ago, I could not enter under any circumstances because I was not a registered paying customer.

Wow . Just discovered your videos. Love looking at the fancy hotels. Thanks!!!!
Well, I'll say it. Wow! Always wondered what it was like inside! Didn't disappoint
Beautiful hotel, golden touch. Good experience with these luxuries. You deserve it Tim. Glad you shared your tour in 7 star hotel. The cost is not too bad compared to other 5star hotels which charges the same price. There are lots of freebies there and everything has personal touch and their logos everywhere. It’s worth every penny. Thanks for sharing
Great vids. Im glad i found your channel! I also do like that you are able to tell us what is and what is not complamentary. As i myself cant afford not to know😊
Nice review Tim , Cheaper than the Ritz and what a view .
Beautiful hotel tour. Thank you!
Your passion shines through in every video! 💖
I just found you. These are fantastic. So now ive been to the Ritz in London and the 7-star in Dubai. Both are WOW. Its the only way ill ever see them! Thank you!
