Dude your channel doesn't suck. I'm going on my first solo Vegas trip tomorrow because, in part, to your videos. I'm pushing myself past what I would have ever thought of doing because of your attitude to life.
You should know you have a positive impact in real people out in the real world. I hope you're doing well man, and I'm really sorry to hear about your Father. Your audience is here because of your authenticity and trying to give advice to other travellers. We will still be here for you no matter how long it takes for you to grieve the way you need to.

Video should have been titled A Tribute to my Father. He deserved every word you said. Father and son relationships are everything. My Dad was the greatest man I have ever known and now I work hard everyday to bring the same joy to my son that my Dad brought to me. Your videos are amazing in part because your Dad was amazing. You are him. He is proud of his son.

Grief and sorrow does change the attitude.
I hate when people say GET OVER IT.

James, I’m not a typical TH-cam commenter, however I felt compelled to tell you how much my wife and I appreciate you and your videos. We’ve been watching for years and you’ve inspired us to pursue travel and ignited a greater passion for adventure. Thank you for your hard work, resiliency, kindness, and desire to inspire us all. Obviously nothing can replace your dad, but throughout the rest of your life you will be the beneficiary of moments and reminders that you carry his love with you everywhere you go. I pray that this will bring a measure of unmatched comfort whenever you need it most. Thank you for what you do, keep pursuing your dreams, and safe travels my friend

Mama Coolist, you have an amazing son that produces incredible, honest travel videos that sometimes create friendships even he's over at another sunny beach. Our household went to Lopesan Costa Bavaro three weeks ago, and I met a gentleman from the UK while watching the sunrise over the party boats just offshore. About five minutes into the conversation, we both found out the reason why we were there was because of some TH-camr that goes by Coolist highly recommended it. James, your content is amazing and it was so cool to talk about it with a stranger that soon became a friend. We're going to try to cross paths again next year from opposite sides of the globe. Regarding your father, my dad beat Stage 3 Esophageal cancer, and I get to cherish my bonus time with him. I'm happy to see that you had the opportunity to do the same. I am anxiously awaiting your journey back to happiness...keep up the good work!

My father was in the hospital for one year straight, pulled through after countless complications, and lived another seven years before the complications caught up with him. Like you, he was an amazing dad and left this life way too soon. He is always in my heart and prayers and his influence on me lives on in my day to day choices in life. It has been many years since his passing. There will always be an empty space but, surprisingly, he remains as much a part of my life now than when he was alive. James - thank YOU for allowing us into your heart… So many of us keep you with us during our most special times, planning and then, enjoying such special vacation moments and many of those moments start off their infancy thanks to YOU…. Please know that there’s a LOT of your TH-cam friends that adore you and wish you strength and love while you navigate this new path. Hug your mom a little extra the next time you get to - she must be a super hero, too (she takes after her son!). Lots of love from your fan/friend in The Villages, Florida (and yes - I’m still hoping that you try a cruise out, one day!).❤

Awe James, I'm so so very sorry for your loss. I haven't been on TH-cam in a bit and this is the first video that crossed my path. Big hugs ❤ I lost my Father 4 years ago, it's devastating, nothing like anything we've ever experienced. It doesn't get any easier, we just learn to adjust and cherish the memories ❤

James, thank you for this heart to heart peek at your personal life and the realness that that has been with your dear father and best friend's passing. How devastating it must have been and still be to you and your mom. To have that deep, complex, and rewarding relationship with your father must be so special. Congrats on that forever bond. And thank you for always sharing in specific, colorful ways that make you and your energy and opinions so clear, useful, and entertaining. Your dad and mom must be so proud of you, your character, and your dedication. God bless you all.

Hey Man, my heart goes out to you and your family. You are great at what you do and I lost my dad, who was 93, three months ago and I binged a lot of TH-cam in those two weeks after and namely your videos of your traveling and reviewing all over the place. It took my mind to a better place during a dark time so what you do makes a difference to lots of other people in ways you might not even think of so keep moving forward and know your videos sometimes mean more than just reviewing a cool pool scene. Your communication skills and mojo are exemplary. Keep up the good work and stay strong. You are admired by many.

James, I’m sorry for your loss. Keep being you sir. I had a similar experience with my mom since I came from a single family household. I gave up a 7 figure business to spend the last 18 months of her life with her. Also like you travel intrigues me to the point I want to consider it. I was paralyzed emotionally and somewhat mentally. Depression set in to the point I became a recluse. I eventually came out of the “hole” when I found out my wife was pregnant with twins (who I named after my mom) about 10 months after my mom died. I knew then life had to go on and it was a blessing. I would love to talk to you personally because we have much in common. The road ahead is wide open. Go be great.

What a moving story! So sorry to hear of your loss. Better to re-title this episode as "Homage to my Dad". So courageous of you to share your pain. Losing a parent is so wrenching. I went to work the morning after getting a 2am call that Mom died. Didn't know what else to do so fell back on the sanity of routine. I'm sure you will find inner resilience. It doesn't matter how often or if you release travel videos, although your viewers love to observe your travels we know you are human and experience both Joy's and losses. No need to apologize. Part of life.

Thanks for sharing it means a lot especially as a 60yr old who lost his dad at 18. It takes time to grieve and that pain of losing a loved one turns into something special.
We love your videos. We’ve used your videos and have travelled to Cancun. Cabo, and recently to Holbox (where time seemed to just slow down).
We look forward to your new adventures and that trust me when the smile returns it will be bigger and brighter!

So sorry for your loss... Sending love to you and your family. You are a fantastic content creator. But folks don't truly realize how much TH-cam is a HUSTLE... its like surfing, ups and downs... The highs are epic, but the lows can be soul-crushing... Keep being you man. Your content helped my wife and I have an amazing honeymoon.

My dad was and will always be my hero, difficult individual, but with a big kind heart. I told myself I'd see/spend time with him in the month of December on his birthday for once and Christmas this year.
I was too late by October 20th. It's been hard for myself, and no one'd understand ever

So sorry to hear about the loss go your dad. I lost mine to stage 4 cancer 12 years ago. It never gets better but it does get a little easier as time passes. There are still times that I go to call home to talk to him and forget he’s not there. This was a brave video and I congratulate you on your courage and openness and the fact that you stay positive.
Watching your videos and traveling has inspired my wife and I we are going to try and start our own channel soon. We will be making our first video in Key West at the end of July.
Take care of yourself, stay positive and keep making great videos.
