      @@TheMrMobile Yes Luis, very true!
I honestly refuse to watch Michael's reviews on my desktop computer because to me, they feel more like little movies or documentaries than just your standard tech reviews.
So I instead ONLY watch them on my 55" Sony 4K TV, for the very same reasons Luis just described. It just doesn't feel right to watch them on a computer screen.
Thank you for always going the extra mile, Micheal! 👌👌👌

Last year I bought a 4a. I like the design it reminds me of my favorite phone the LG G6 with fingerprint reader location and a headphone jack, yet it runs the latest version of Android (I'm on 12) and gets monthly updates. I guess you could say the a series is for people that take the boat rather than the helicopter, but are OK with that.

Eh, OnePlus' thing was pushing the spec sheet to the max while keeping the price low (SoC, ram, storage), and lacked in camera. They also had good metal and glass builds. The Pixel a line is happy with keeping the specs low, design basic, but excelling in the camera department. The market for the OnePlus were phone enthusiasts, while the Pixel a lines can be recommended to a wider audience, (older people who aren't as tech savvy). Really the main thing they have in common is they're good phones for less than the flagships.

Honestly, great B Roll as usual. The 5a still has that quiet mic but video is improving YOY, which is good to see. I hope the P6 series has better video, but I am excited for the 6a to see if they will use Tensor with this plastic chassis (ala iPhone SE 2020) or a Dimensity chip. While I believe the Nord 2 is the best mid tier device for performance (with various Poco devices also in the conversation), I think this is an alternative if you're not a fan of this or Samsung (its A52s 5G is equally convincing and has a microSD slot). It really depends on software and camera in this price range.

For the first time since the W800i, I haven't rushed out to pre-order the latest flagship (Symbian, Android or otherwise) - and I don't know if that will change. I'm a bit burnt out on the phone tech race, it seems.
I used to be driven by camera capabilities, which is why I even suffered with Nokia's N8 when I didn't have to, then went the Android route, but since picking up a Ricoh GRIII as a constant carry, I don't even care for the phone's camera chops any longer.
Anyway, smashed my aging S10+ yesterday and discovered the 5a launched for pre-order at the same time - so I'd say the timing is pretty perfect. $300 after exchanging my old broken S10+. Pre-ordered yesterday.

My Girlfriend has rocked the Google Pixel 4a 5G for the last 9 months and she’s loved it. It may not be the most exiting phone in the world, but it does all the things you need well. Like Michael said it’s certainly worth the money. Recommend last years one and if this is similar this one also.

All android phones that try to be as simple as an iphone will simply lose everyday!Android is not simple, minimalistic, get the job done type off product. They were made to be phones for tech enthusiasts and feature packed full with tricks(gimmicks) that make them a fun to use.Look at who is climbing the list off most sold smartphones.Look at Xiaomi flying with the worst software according to all reviews.Look at Samsung losing ground beacuse is trying to be have a minimalistic a software that is good according to reviewers, generic ,functional, easy to use etc etc. I really want to see an answer from Mr Fisher!(Been watching your reviews since pocketnow)

I have the Note 10+ and it's still just as great as when it was released 2yrs ago. I'm still getting all day battery life. I'm S. of Houston & not in a 5g area. My 4g LTE download speeds are 65-100Mbps. So that's fast for me.
If I upgrade? It'll be to the Note 20 Ultra. Once you experience the Samsung QHD Display? You'll never go back. I don't care about refresh rates or cameras. Most all major phone manufacturers have great cameras
