I tell you that I pressed the first thing, which is to save the data from the EEPRON, then I adjusted the mileage. But I pressed mileage, and I put 576757, then I saw that it didn't appear, and I said maybe I made a mistake because it seemed to me the same old mileage. Then I overdid the EEPRON to put everything as it was before, but here's the thing, the mileage shot up to 887232, and I can't correct the problem via obd2, how would you do to solve it, the scanner shows me the previous mileage but on the dashboard the wrong one, I would really appreciate your answer and help. It has a problem with miles/km. If you enter what you think is miles, it is actually Km and your mileage will be wrong. I never tried it the other way around, I just sent it back.
The customer service for this scanner is terrible. Useless email replies at best. It didn't work on three Mercedes older than 2001 nor Suburbans older than 1997. Regret buying it.
Is it me or does the phrase "Mileage Correction" sound a bit "dodgy"? I mean how many people would genuinely need to alter the mileage and just how many unscrupulous dealers would be tempted to turn back the clock say 10 or 15%?
My cluster died, sent it in to be rebuilt but had a spare used to continue using it as my daily. So the mileage is off now with corrected unit. Hope this will allow me to correct it using VIDA to read the ecm for the exact current mileage(270-290k miles). It’s a car I’ll never EVER sell(2004 Volvo S60R).
@@JGrammi-nq5vc Yes, it is a good thing that DMV and Car Fax keep the mileage record history that cannot be changed. I think it may be a useful function more for a used or replacement PCM or other module that may incorrectly report mileage high or low from actual vehicle miles.
