    So would you go with this monitor or ASUS TUF VG34VQL3A.

    • @AtHomewithLucas

      For just gaming, I'd get the ASUS, but for casual gaming plus work stuff, I'd get the Dell.

    I've got this monitor being delivered today. It is replacing the LG 34WK650 34-Inch Ultrawide that I've had for the last 6 years (dual 21:9 monitor setup, with a smaller 25" Ultrawide above the main panel). My second screen will still be the LG 25UM58 Ultrawide that I'm currently using.
    I'm really looking forward to going from 2560x1080 75Hz to 3440x1440 144Hz 😄

      Wow this will be a huge upgrade for you. The new monitor will make you want all your other ones to be 3440x1440 lol 😆

    Just bought this on offer for $240, To replace my Alienware AW3423DWF, the Sub pixel layout on the Alienware meant text had coloured fringing on it making it terrible for productivity, but amazing for gaming, so i'm sending it back. But the Del S3422DWG is great for text, I do miss the black levels of OLED and the colour vibrance. But I Mainly use it of Work and music production it is a better choice for me. Its Good enough for gaming once you dial the settings in, set it to super fast and enable g-sync and its great.

    Got this monitor today.
    I'm a "T" setup user (ultrawide + portrait monitor), so I'm kind of annoyed to deal with a curved and VA panel but it does do the trick when watching a movie or playing Forza Horizon 5.
    I'm really surprised how it handle HDR because before today, I would have told you that "HDR 400 is BS and fake HDR" but it's actually passable and certainly better than the monitors that only says "HDR10 compatible" (my laptop have a True Black HDR 600 OLED panel, so...)
    As a monitor arm user, I found funny that you praise the stand for being the most easy to install but also having a too big base. Dude, this thing is a beast and totally max out my arm capacity, so it better have a good stable base, but the "quick fit" mean that the VESA mounting is so much recessed that I had to unscrew my monitor arm from my desk and install it on the monitor. That's because my arm have a slide in plate and can't slide in a recessed hole... That was a nightmare lol.
    I'm curious tho, what graphic card you have to be limited to 120Hz on the DisplayPort? Or maybe you have a too old cable that cannot handle the bandwidth required for the 10 bits per channel at UWQHD resolution.

    • @AtHomewithLucas
      @AtHomewithLucas  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh so it may just be the cable? Let me check the specs on it. Thanks

    • @Christian_Mino
      @Christian_Mino 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The HDR isn't really passable, but more like a really nice reshade feature, and that's after you calibrate her to the micrometer lol.

    • @TommyCrosby
      @TommyCrosby 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No... and yes...
      It depends on the settings, I don't have it right now, because I have set the refresh rate at 100Hz (my RX6650XT isn't built for UW1440P and I don't play competitive games). But when I was at 144Hz and I think the Refresh Rate was at Extreme, I could clearly see a "black ghost" of the text on dark backgrounds.
      That's why the monitor come with so much settings, depending what you do, you will have to play.

      Ive just got this monitor, Replaced an Alienware AW3423DWF (yes really) for the main reason it looked really terrible with text to the point I think my eye sight was going. this is so much better for productivity, but going from OLED to VA is hard after the ridiculous black levels of OLED. But they are better than my old ASUS ROG monitor. The HDR is not as good either, found myself constantly turning it off and on to as I couldn't decide was was better. but it is the jack of all trades monitor, very good for productivity
