- This is a speedrun of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D by NOUFozzy from Summer Games Done Quick 2015. The run starts at 4:20.

I'll give this guy a 8.5 out of 10 rating for his gaming performance. He saved his run from being completely ruined many times. He kept trying the glitches until they worked and he never gave up even during the Majora's mask final boss fight, if link had died during that fight he likely would have lost his entire run right then and there. He brought his run back beautifully in the end so congrats to him on a great speedrun.

He was so nervous, aww, I loved the run anyway, man! I'm sure when you're home you can do all those tricks first try, but the anxiousness and RNG made it very tough, still you did it and it was very fun
Even though it's longer, 3D is very interesting with its speed glitches and that final boss fight was tense
That was a great run, despite bad RNG and some hiccups
I just finished playing MM3D casually, so I gotta catch up all the MM speedruns!
Ahh man this was a bit awkward to watch at times but the crowd was so nice, gg to the runner 😸

I had no clue you were supposed to use Deku Nuts in the Odolwa battle. I come up with some sword and bow strategy that usually ends up working out just fine.
What tf was that eye glitch at 2:00:58 ?
not a glitch goron link just does that when he opens chests
for the Twinmold fight it's not inexplicable they wanted you to spin the circle pad as it deals more damage to Twinmold than normal. Also you can grab it's head to do a headlock that also deals damage but I'm not sure if it deals more or less damage than the giant swing.
if they added different damage values on both the head lock would do more but we dont really know if it does
No one has just done the fight twice and done it with just headlock only the first time and then te giant's swing the second to see which does more? If they do.
This run clearly inspired the name Lunk. And the Meme. And the Animation.... ;D (and yes, I realize that Lunk was already in the bid war for naming the savegame...)
2:08:48 I like some of this boss fight. On the other hand it takes forever if I miss a Boulder to throw and have to punch the boss a lot as it flies by. Yeah in the original it’s short, in the 3ds it takes too long and fierce deity link can’t even make it boss take less time.
Didn't it sound like the turtles at around the 31:30 mark were saying "Aflac"?

I spent more time in Ikana Canyon just getting the gibdo mask as he did on the first cycle as a deku.

At least it's not as bad as A Link Between Worlds, where Ravio sells you Fire Rod, Ice Rod, Bow, Bomb Bag, Boomerang, Hookshot, and other dangerous tools.
Why the game is in french ?
+ipyrozz, he do not use japanese because in the 3ds version the text boxes are faster. but since is no way to skip the giant's cutsenes from the n64 version, if he did english, the text boxes for the giant's cutsenes will be so slower. so to answer your question why the is in french, because the text boxes of the giants will be a little bit fast in french wich saves 12 second's. if you want to learn more, look at this part. 7:57 to 8:42

Cool run, but I must say it's disappointing to see what they did to the MM bosses in 3D...
"Hey y'know that stupid shoot-the-eyes trope everyone's been sick of for years? Let's needlessly shoehorn that into almost every boss in the game in the most unsubtle way possible!"
The sad part is many of the other mechanics they added (e.g. gyorg's second phase and the new giant's mask) would actually have been really cool if the bosses themselves hadn't been messed up.
Indeed, although all the other gameplay changes made improve the game. Boss eyes are the only sore spot on the remake.
I think the eyes were added to cement in the fact that Majora has done this.
XANA520 Good point. They don't really detract from the bosses in any case, but they do remind you of Majora.
I think they improved Gyorg and Twinmold (especailly) substantially. But I cannot fuckin stand what they did to Odolwa. Used to have moths, the ring of fire, dance moves and the spin attack, one of my favorite bosses in the series. Now, he just stands there unless you get close on foot. But of course all you do is fly over him and stun him with Deku nuts.
That and the Zora swimming makes this the only remake of the 3D games I cannot say is better than the original.
