+marshal shabang it actually happened. RunnerGuy has talked about it a couple times he helped the person and gave them instructions on how to beat the game via forums and voice chat. The person he helped was blind at birth and had his computer set up to read words back to him.

I think you're missing the point but okay, yes it is very impressive this guy is using a feature that locks the camera to navigate a 3d game.
Im pretty sure the game was designed well enough around the Z-targeting feature... Not sure how it wasn't? Z-Targeting is what made me love playing OoT other than the story and gameplay.

I remember seeing a video of a person that was literary blind, playing the first level of this game. Makes you wonder if this game is unintentionally blind friendly because of how clear the sound cues are and how the Z-targeting works.
+LMaruchan Bindfold runs aren't too uncommon. It's more that this game has a solid sound design and far less that it was made with that in mind. The reason being, you would need lots of help/ practice to learn it blind.
Don't forget the "shoot the switch puzzles. Totally impossible without someone helping you.

I can't believe the memory these people have to know every inch of every room and every map to figure out where they are if they mess up a bit... my memory is pretty bad to the point that I can replay a game less than a year later and still be surprised by some of the plot points lol. Kudos to anyone who can do this successfully!

Well, I played OoT enough to confidently say that I would actually be able to play it blindfolded too! Give me roughly 60+ hours and I will aquire both Kokiri sword and deku shield. Then I would probably die over and over in Great Deku Tree until I give in and cry myself to sleep.

This is one of the coolest and most fun runs that I have ever seen. In was informative and I learned a lot about glitches. Also impressive obviously. Thanks for uploading! This was so fun! Not only the content, but also how the event was done. Having the crowd reacting added something to it as well.

Well, it's good to know that even if Link was totally blind, Hyrule would still be in some pretty capable hands. (Although I guess the ability to clip through walls, momentarily pause time at strategic intervals, etc. etc. kind of help, pff.)

As a blindfolded runner, I feel nothing but a huge respect for a goat like that. Runnerguy is one of the few guys that started the blindfolded gaming community, he's one of the main inspirations for the best blindfolded runners there are today and that they now inspire other people like me. Without people like Runnerguy this community wouldn't exist, and it all started from such a wholesome decision of helping a blind guy. What runnerguy did is so inspirational! When it comes to the run it self, from something from 2015 I was expecting unoptimised strategies and very slow setups... But this was also so good and impressive!! So clean and fast! I hope one day runnerguy will get back to doing blindfolded runs... And it would also be nice to know how that blind guy is doing now 😅

I was there. I asked him if he was high and he said he was on his third day of smoking meth. Not even kidding. By the end of the run he was tweaking hard and needed another hit from the pipe. At the end of the night he held a party in his hotel room and had like an orgy with a few other guys all on like 3 girls. It was insane.

"Child Dungeons - Est: JEDI PADAWAN" Did you know there's a reason for this? It's stating what the requirements are to complete this godly accomplishment. Runnerguy is in total control of the Force and is able to sense the game, become one with it. That and this man has played this game an absurd amount of times.

Tbh as someone who knows this game inside out, I challenge you to do the first three adult dungeons. These kids dungeons I think I could do blindfolded, but the adult dungeons are rough. I have been practicing by directing others without the screen and focusing on audio cues.

They do have a twitch but they only have 2 events a year. 2nd one this year is called SGDQ and I believe its june 28th - August 1st :)
