This run starts off as a pretty standard, if entertaining, run with good commentary.
And then becomes something MAGICAL right at the end.

This had to be one of the funniest runs of SGDQ 2015.

I love that guy that was explaining about the out of bound thing with the gold diamond he was trying so hard to tell Fire that he's not getting the diamond xD
I think the best part is that even getting the second Gold Diamond wouldn't have saved FIredragon. He would've needed that and $4M more.

SPOILER ALERT: Holy crap his run fell completely apart at the end. Poor guy.
+Galen Firestone He hard reset the console during Mario Kart 64 at SGDQ 2014. That game does have resets, but they're supposed to be soft resets that reset the game instead of the entire console.

At about 17:00, Veman3000 does not have E.Gadd calling him after he caught the first Boo, instead he manages to vacuum the tablecloth right before the animation starts. Is that an in-game glitch?
Yes. If you get the table cloth or blankets off beds you can skip e gadd
+Neuralhub Spaxxor yup! and, unlike the mousehole skips which are JPN only, you can do the cloth skips in the US version as well, I've done it lol.

HOW DO YOU CATCH GHOSTS SO FAST?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!
It's a combination of them being in the "Hidden Mansion", which is unlocked after beating the game once, and pure skill. Repeatedly moving the control stick front and back, much like you do in fishing games, makes the percent go down very quickly. The Hidden Mansion makes your vacuum increase in power a certain amount, which is why speedrunners use that instead of a New Game file.

+iDerekMC In the world of video games a "cycle" usually refers to an attack pattern or some pattern you would see in the game world, like how platforms move or where enemies are located at certain times. In Luigi's Mansion here a cycle would be something like the first boss, the baby. The boss as you watch the video will throw the balls at you, come down to the bed to be attackable, and then after you hit it with the balls go up and throw the rocking horses at you, rinse and repeat. That would be a "cycle" of the boss. So the 2 cycle on baby at the beginning means they skipped a health trigger that would have spawned more rocking horses, thus causing the boss to repeat the pattern more and waste time.

If this is 100% why didn't they get all the mice and secret ghosts?
They are RNG, and aren't part of the 100% rating. 100% is constituted by all portrait ghosts and the A rank on money at the end. Mice and hidden ghosts aren't portrait ghosts, and are only needed should the runner need a pinch of cash for the A rank.

+Nils Gylstra Honestly, I could care less about which place I was in that race. I was more than satisfied with the run I performed then (in fact I almost PBed, hence my reaction.) But more importantly, I had fun. Having fun is the main reason I stream, speedrun, or do anything at all. If I'm not having fun, then what's the point? I know I may not be the fastest, but I have experience (over 3 years of experience to be exact.) The knowledge and friendships I gained from playing this game will never be forgotten nor can it be replaced. I had a blast showing off this game to over 100k people, and to me that's all that matters.
