Skuj got lucky that his save file did not get corrupted, because when Andy or Patty stomped the ground, Skuj's game got corrupted for a few frames before getting to a black screen. Just like it a cartridge tilt result.
Patty admitted it was him that reset the console during SGDQ 2019 during the SmZ3 rando run

Can anyone help me find some information on some of the glitches used in this run? How to get them working and the reasoning behind it would be very helpful! Yyou can find tons of Glitches on the Zelda Wiki and various other pages, but Speedrunning glitches and very precise glitches don't ever seem to be documented!
Specifically the one used at the start to drop through the floor of the dungeon from the stairs @ 26:00
The 'Up Teleport' found at @ 43:30
And the clipping through walls @ 37:08 & 32:35 & 1:01:15
The Blue Potion glitch @ 52:00
The amazingly weird Glitch @ 1:03:05 !

...I happened to be there for the console reset....the chat went completely crazy. "ANDY SAY SORRY" "RESET ANDY'S CONSOLE"

Rowan Tilborg, it wasn't someone from the couch's fault. You can clear see the console reset the moment Andy stomps his feet for a second time. Also, Skuj said "Andy, you just reset my console." Even Paddy said the console was too close to Andy's foot.
Why would the consoles be set up behind them anyway?
willgtl read the other comments. Paddy has taken the blame for it. You can clearly see both of them having a laughterspasm at that point. #goodguyPaddy

And for good reason, as he never caused the console to turn off.
It was Patty's stomp on the ground that caused it to turn off.
In fact, Patty even stated this at SGDQ 2019 during Andy's run (though he has stated this many times before as well).

Yes, but that isn't the point of a Reverse Boss Order run. Similar runs have been done with Super Metroid and other titles. The goal is to defeat every boss in exactly reverse order, usually by putting on a glitch showcase.

Andy's kick cost superskuj 3:48. Subtracting that from 1:33:33 gives 1:29:45, meaning skuj won by 2s.
Either way, Skuj still won.
Andy also did all sorts of unnecessary stuff, like not fixing his glitched screen. The fact that Andy would have only lost by two seconds given all of the silly stuff he did is actually insane.

this was so embarrassing to watch. There should have been some kind of GDQ intervention... No waiting, no apologies, practically no acknowledgement that the race was totally invalidated
Andy seems like kind of an asshole. Not only was he pretty attention-grabby through the whole run, but he also didn't even ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that he reset Skuj's console, let alone apologize for it. If anything, he should have let Skuj catch up back to where he was.
I try not to put motives on things that happen during live runs and marathons, but it's hard not to feel that way -- not just the console reset, but the few times the couch commentators would call attention to what's happening on skuj's game, Andy would start shouting out about something happening on his game... for example 1:28:41... it happens several times. And the cumulative effect makes it seem that way... whether motivated or coincidence.
I don't want to make too many assumptions, but it was probably subconscious, like he's so accustomed to hogging attention that he does rude things like this almost on command, but without thinking about it.
You are probably right. The way he ends and talks about it as if it were over, and the couch says "well we're not done yet" and he seems to assume they're talking about watching his credits instead of the other player's game indicates he's just not really being all that 'aware'. (psst - instead of joking about end credits glitched link, maybe start throwing support to your fellow runner's game?)
It was determined that the console reset was Patty's fault and not Andy's. Just thought I'd throw that in there. Didn't really get the same feeling you did about Andy. Everything seemed fine to me, o.o
