Woolich Updates for Gen6 ZX10r ECU Tuning and Smoothing the Idle. Making more Power!

  • In this video I discuss a few recent updates Woolich www.woolichrac... has released for the Gen6 Zx10r. I also discuss how to smooth a lumpy idle by equalizing vacuum pressure of each throttle body.
    Attached is a video Ricardo made that is a great resource for the situation. Though an aftermarket exhaust can make the idle bounce more evident and expose the vacuum issue, no exhaust is the fix for the problem. Attached is a comical yet accurate video segment Ricardo created exposing the issue and laughable solution.

    I rememeber the old r1’s, or maybe it was the r6, that had that terribly choppy throttle input. People had fits over that.

    I got the graves throttle tube for my gen 6 and it still has the same amount of play as the stock tube. Is there some trick to putting this thing on the right way? Lol

    • @NoBSZone
      @NoBSZone  ปีที่แล้ว

      How much play did yours have with factory one? Perhaps yours had better tolerances. Mine took out a good 1/3 of freeplay mine had.
      Installation is straight forward, remove bar end, open pod 4 screws, swap grip then reverse.

    • @MattStravato
      @MattStravato ปีที่แล้ว

      @BS Zone yea I mean you really can't put in on wrong but mine has in and out play also. Along with the on/off play too. I'm really disappointed in it unfortunately cause it's terrible to ride. I have a mail in flash and the thing is so abrupt when trying to give it a tiny bit of throttle. It's so bad... on/off... no in-between. I'm sure I just need a actual in person tune. Do you know any reputable tuners in thr Phoenix AZ area?

    • @NoBSZone
      @NoBSZone  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MattStravato yes the Tune can be a huge part of issue. Who tuned it? I felt same way about throttle, would not track it and was verge sell the bike due to it. Mine is great now between throttle input adjustment done and the tube. Im not aware any Tuners in AZ. Ricardo may.
      If not....Road Trip! ;)

      Your tuner needs to make adjustments or take to someone who can.

      @@NoBSZone I have a woolich tuner but don’t really know how to use it I took it to the tuner twice and he still didn’t fix it so I’m gonna try to figure out how to use the woolich tuner myself

    • @NoBSZone

      I suggest you have a experienced dyno tuner do the work. Auto tune systems have a few set backs if used stand alone.

      Apply your autotune logs like normal. The go to the main woolich screen, and select fuel maps. You can select individual cells, or a row. Red cells click add, blue cells click the subtract button. Make them all white, write to ecu, then ride and repeat if needed.

    • @NoBSZone

      Achieves the same outcome to block the vapor flow, however if you want to remove all of the then useless plumbing and the electrical component it needs a plug in by pass or ecu flash to disable the check engine code. I like to get rid of it all as it makes future service easier.

    my gen 6 hunts idle badly with the full exhaust, especially in low RPM, whats this sync tool you talk of? do you have any specific names I can look up? was there a vacuum leak? was that the problem on one of the cylinders? what do you actually mean out of sync?

    • @NoBSZone
      @NoBSZone  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The idle does bounce some still at idle before it gets to full operation temp 165-170. The synch was off with cylinder 1 a good bit out synch. Others were odd a tad. We used a digital vacuum synch vs a common fluid one.
