I bought one of these when they first came out and immediately swapped the crystal with a double dome sapphire. It really brought the watch to a new level. Crystals made for an SKX007 are a perfect fit for this watch.
i want to do this exact thing but i feel like it would be super expensive to do. I dont have any watch tools. What would you recommend to do this without tools?
Do think it's a lot more fun working as an Invicta designer than a Rolex designer. Rolex designer...we increased the case by 0.5 mm. Invicta designer. Hey, why don't we put a chain around the bezel. And diamonds. And make it green and big.
You say Invicta has ruined it’s image by making big ugly watches. Invicta owns a shopping channel where they sale more watches than anyone. If that’s your idea of a ruined image, I say from a business stand point no one beats Invicta’s marketing team.
Nice pieces for the $$. I remember almost buying one when they first came out but didn't. I started looking again during this video. Had that cool green/black bezel you mentioned in the cart at that foreign website. Then, you mentioned Invicta might make a model with a date...Then, it clicked why I didn't buy it way back when. These watches have the NH35. Damn 👻 pull on the crown 🧐
I've got the black PVD one and it's a very decent watch for peanuts. The NH35 movement must have been modified because mine runs -1 secs a day, which is insane for such a cheap watch.
In the late 90s, early 2000s Invicta made bigger selection of much nicer watches. In 2001 I've bought 42 mm watch wit Unitas movement, beautiful watch...
Got all 3 versions of the AMWG model 1953…the Blue bezel, the Coke bezel and green/black bezel. Along with the other variations, there are a total of nine 1953 versions TMK.
The cross design inside a diamond that appears on the Invicta 1953 crown is indeed an Invicta logo, on the normal Pro Diver it appears on the watch face, above the word “Invicta” and also a very microscopic version on the second hand counterbalance, not to mention the crown..
I'm exactly the guy you're talking about: my first mechanical automatic was Invicta's sub homage. Decent watch it is. But the question I ask myself is: do I really want to buy another Invicta or I'd rather invest in something else?
Same! I got rid of it bc I didn’t like how it felt when somebody with an actual Rolex mistakenly thought i had one too but then realized it was a clone....it was awkward
@Riki Perolina why can't we have a homage watch with modern materials? After all we can have the best of both worlds. Heritage styling with modern touches. I don't want an acrylic crystal like many vintage watches for example. I want sapphire, etc...so I extend that to include ceramic bezel as opposed to original acrylic bezel or more current aluminum bezel.
@Riki Perolina Stainless steel bezel would be nice. I didn't think of that.China would do it for much less money too. Too bad Invicta probably won't makes these changes. I would be willing to pay more for a watch with upgraded materials. Thanks for the suggestions.👍

Those watches represent the one day that the Invicta Design group wasn’t hallucinating.

Not much “design” when you do a homage

They actually looked pretty decent,I cant believe this 😱 . Great video Rob
Making 300 of a decent watch. Insane.
Omega?
I have both of the models you reviewing, love them both ...
It uses a very good movement. my Invicta with the nh35a has lasted 6 years and still keeps good time.
Its so cool. Knocked it out of the park with the original version.

Great video! I learned more about those watches than I knew before, despite being the owner of them. 😂 Thanks for the shoutout too btw!
Nice looking in black and with no Invicta engraved along the case. Definitely a good looking watch that looks way more than it is.

Nine? Can you describe them or post pictures
I don't typically like NATO straps but that one works. So does the leather strap.

The only Invicta I’ve actually liked the look of.
Rob anyway to skip ahead to the Axios Pathfinder?
I have bought several variations which were not limited!

That is where it begins my friend! Same but now at 8 mechanical..
Now you go for the real one. Not the homage.

What do you mean 8 or 9?
@@SaSpursFan I would have been very proud!
Siempre he buscado el Invicta(31290)...Una maravilla de Reloj...Tiene maquinaria Seiko??...Saludos de Chile...
Are they all limited edition,?
What is the Asia mechanical watch group?
I am shocked by the quality!
Is it a true no date movement or ghost position?
ghost
Boo!
what Is AWMG?
I have never seen the blue bezel before! Asia what?
Cool
i would like to buy this watch, very nice.
Shop HQ!
@@davidcrandall4958 thank you very much .
I just can't get past the Invicta name at this point. It is going to be hard for them to move upscale IMHO.
It is a great looking watch with a very decent movement and minimal branding. Looks fine next to my Hamilton Orient and Tissot watches.
The variations I bought in The U.S are not limited Editions!
I had the first 1953. It’s a nice watch but it just didn’t do it for me. I flipped it and got the orient Neptune instead

If they put a SW 200 or an ETA 2824 price it around $700 or so and it will sell like hotcakes
I have an Invicta Pro Diver chronograph with 7750 movement.
For $799.00
I have bought several variations in the US that aren't limited!
Good luck finding one. They're all limited editions.
No they are not!
I really like the watch very much, but the lume is terrible, and I need a good lume...
Only problem for me is that I don't know where to find it!
Invicta should add a ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal and better lume. Then they will have something really good. Invicta are you listening?
