- Finally we are back to this exploit, glad to say it didn't get patched last season and that we could make it better for this season. This video is a combo of videos from season 11 and 12 but ultimately I have confirmed that it works in season 12. If you have any feedback please be sure to let me know and I hope you enjoy!

Lightning does target players. 3x as often if they have a sword equipped on them. Shadow storm fishing had me going crazy.

There is an exploit where you can park the boat during the skeleton fleet voyage so the final boss respawns and respawns. The trinket also respawns so you can get infinite trinketsz

Stacked Athena’s doing it for about 4 hours yesterday on a Gal, went up 120 levels
They haven't fix it yet??? I remember doing it until Rare broke the AI of the skellys and they didn't repair, so most of the times they sink by crashing into a rock

the fort exploit is actually something I've been using awhile now. if i dont have enough kegs i just do this but it works in something like a raid voyage too.
How does it work with a raid voyage?
@@archpolecat5218 I noticed the skeleton respawn mechanics are the same as the fort of the damned, so if you can get a fort voyage with keg skellies of any type it will work. great for non-pirate legends to start with

Tip for you.. you are more likely to be struck by lightning when having a gun or sword in hand.
Starting the “Lords of the sea” tall tale should teleport the storm away from fotd. It might have been patched tho. Have a checkpoint on your boat and load it when the storm gets close.

I know the crows nest isnt good for kegs anymore but woukd it be worth putting them there incase of a skeleton ship? Idk if the would ve able to target the top or not
No, the chance of them shooting your mast is higher than canonball hitting very front of your ship. Skeletons aim for the center of mass.
I think you should spread them all across your ship so they don’t hit all at once! 😃

@@JacobLukasiewicz There’s a much lower chance for them to hit it in the mast. They can’t shoot chainshot so they need to hit three mast canon balls to knock it down. Just repair it if they hit it. (I’ve had them at the front of my ship before and the skele ship hit them)
@@julianthingvoll that doesn't work like that unfortunately haha, one shot to the mast from normal canonball is enough to explode the keg. don't believe me, try it for yourself on a fort
You can smother the keg before it goes off after you kill the skele just have to be quick

I also did the fort of the damned recently but the skeletons were like ghosts and would not receive normal physical damage. Any thoughts.
I can tell you new to the game so if you have any more questions feel free to hit me up. In order to do for of the dammed you have to take the lantern color from inside the fort and use that lantern on the skeleton of the same color before you can damage them. Also you can sell any gunpowder barrels!

There is another exploit for merchant alliance way better and much more simple but i can’t explain it down here or there would be more chances it can get patched
I don't know if I'm right, cuz i haven't tried it but maybe it is possible to stack ashen chests by killing ashen capitains at the fort of tortune over and over again
I tried this with the regular raid forts and couldn't get it to work but it may be worth a revisit
The last 3 forts was a disaster for me and actually bored me. We sunk 2 ships like 5-6 times and they returned in 7-10 mins until we could loot. they sunk us once took the loot and we couldnt catch them. Was a bit sus for cheating but i dont know if there was smt else.
One of the worst parts about for of the dammed is people that won't stop coming back

it's already "fixed", because they removed the skelly's with the mega kegs. at least when I tried yesterday, they didn't spawn

Do you know if there's a way to kill the keg skeletons and still do the exploit for the keg knife kaboom commendation?
I honestly haven't looked at the new commendations so I'm not sure. However if you find out or someone else has an answer let me know because it may help someone
Well basically the way that keg knife kaboom commendation works is that you need to hit the keg of a keg skeleton with a throwing knife. So in theory it would probably work if the stronghold kegs don't kill the other skeletons. I don't have a crew to test whether or not this is true. I tried solo but I think I killed all the skellies with the death of the keg.

the old way to do the fort is to actually get the lights by dying to each of the six causes and find a ritual skull through sinking skeleton ships

@@archpolecat5218 I dunno, didnt try, i watched your other video on vestige of power and wonder why you didnt do it on rapiers clay where it is guaranteed to spawn every time on. Didnt you go between islands in that one? rapiers clay island / a captains treasure voyage allows you to get a vestige of power about every 35 seconds as a solo. just harpoon with both sides of the ship and use it as a way to get on and off the island while restarting the mission
And sadly, the merchants voyage exploit where you look for the first set of floxem in the executive lost cargo voyage was patched it seems. You get significantly less cargo than the guy i saw in the video, albeit, it still works but at a far slower rate

@@archpolecat5218 i saw a guy start the executive lost shipment voyage under merchant alliance, search for the first barrel clue, find it, harpoon up the loot, leave voyage and restart, it spawns in the same place, sometimes it has to be restart multiple times though, and i think they made the loot far less than it was when the guy uploaded the video. But i did do it
I like to put my kegs in the cores nest when doing this exploit to reduce the chances a skele ship will accidentally blow them up.

Not that I know of but to be honest IDK if I could post one because you have take advantage of someone else. I'm all for exploits but I don't wanna do something like that that could completely ruin the game for all players
There was but it got patched, I don’t think any more are known atm
@@archpolecat5218 Before there was a method to make streaks quickly but they patched it, it wasn't exactly one that would ruin the experience for others since it was so to speak like "winning against your alt". And the battle table was bugged so each victory didn't change servers.
But this one is already patched
If you don't dive, There's a good strategy using port Merrick cannons, just park your boat in a strategic location, either where it's easier to get to and take off or where it's harder for the enemy to hit it. Some people might think you are afk so you can catch them off guard or Alot people won't expect to get shot from the island instead of the boat and even if they are a pro 2 things that will help is a anchor ball and trying to kill them with you cannon ball shots and/or take out the mast to keep them in line with your cannon. There's lots on port Merrick that can be used to your advantage. Also one of the times that I was doing this 2 people came over without their boat and was helping me so if you can get help from the server you are in you could literally be unstoppable. Because the way hourglass works is it pairs you with the same amount of players in your crew so anyone else hanging out on the island would be like you having your own personal guards or something. Keep in mind tho if they die they respawn wherever their boat is which it can't be too close or you won't get any challengers. Or at least that seems to be the case cause sometimes it will take awhile for someone to attack you and I have noticed that sometimes the hourglass war map will say that theirs is an enemy ship near and I'm pretty sure no hourglass battle will start while an enemy ship is near.

This isn’t feasible. Every session has cheaters teleporting to my ship with explosives. Can’t really do anything in the game let alone sit at a world event for hours.
It is not the easiest exploit for sure but if you can get lucky with your server and situation you may be able to pull this off. Also not that I use them but an alliance server with this would go crazy

I think you would find that broadly -while there are cheaters- their numbers will have gone down significantly since the introduction of EAC, that's to say the vast majority of sessions these days are free of hardcore (teleport) cheaters
I've not seen a single cheater this season
I've also not seen a single person but you complain about hard cheaters this season
If your experience of hard cheaters every session is true - then its a statistical anomaly of enormous proportions

A tip for if a meg spawns after leaving the fort, DONT SHOOT IT, this may sound weird but megs do not attack unless attacked.

I haven't seen a meg attack ever in I don't know how long.
I swear the meg used to actually attack. Returning player having not played since Season 3, and i'm still hella confused why i have yet to see a Meg actually attack. Even after shooting it multiple times, all it does is circle the ship.

@@archpolecat5218 the good news is most of the bypassers being used are free and get detected fast. Cheaters gotta pay for premium private cheats if they want a private bypasser now. Hopefully they enable the heartbeat system soon which will put a MASSIVE damper on anyone trying to cheat.

An exploit is using any game mechanic in a way it wasn't intended for quicker progress than normal or profit. I agree with you that it's just using game mechanics but it is still an exploit!

This dumb. One blunder shot from a skelly while you're climbing that ladder and everything is gone. The fleet exploit works better. They just spawn every other ship. Don't waste your time with this. There's a reason it's not fixed. Because no one is doing it except this guy
Isn't the fleet exploit fixed?? If you can't time things like climbing a ladder then don't worry this exploit isn't for you. There is risk to this exploit but it really isn't that hard to do
@@archpolecat5218fleet exploit is not fixed, it works for every ship. Tried on sloop, brig, and gally. It works on all of them

Every keeps saying they are patched but they aren't, you can even do this with Athena quests that spawn the stronghold kegs
People call this exploiting when its one of the most dangerous ways to lvl up merchant lmao 🤣🤣 sorry actually it is the most dangerous way to level up merchant. One Cannon ball, firebomb, blunderbomb or even just a misfire and so bye to all that work and if its on your ship already then you can say bye bye to your ship because it just got hit by a nuke and vaporized you're not getting that ship back. Would be hilarious to get the notification when trying to return to your boat after getting sunk that way and getting a notification sorry your boat has been vaporized you will have to pay full price for a new boat!! It can't be repaired because there's nothing left! Lol 😆
I agree that its dangerous but that has nothing to do with it being an exploit or not... It's still using game mechanics in an unintended way for profit, which is an exploit
Ppl could do the same thing just by completing the fort regularly, and get way more loot, it's easy to get 10 or so skulls of destiny and stack the fort by basically doing the same thing and they have a chance a getting the black powder keg from vault which is generally about twice the amount of the stronghold kegs when selling but as well as other merchant loot spawns in the vault as well lols plus since it's a popular world event there's an 80% chance of someone coming up on you while doing this which would make it all the more harder especially if they are good players and not pirates that just think they are BA lol. It being a world event for me makes it just another part of the game especially this method because it's far more dangerous even without the addition of other players blowing you up. Get a skelly ship right after leaving the fort and boom one cannon ball hits your ship just right and it's all over. Add the fact that everyone knows you are there especially since this fort isn't one that starts by itself
No offense but grinding exploits for some cosmetics is dumb, its like people dont even play to have fun. Which you know, is the whole point of gaming.
But what if I have fun finding the exploits because I like to challenge game logic@
@@archpolecat5218 i understand that side of it, what i dont understand is sitting at one event all day long when the cosmetics you earn will most likely collect dust. At least in my experience. But whatever makes people happy, more exploding situations for me to find I guess lol

Rare ruined the game by enslaving their players and how they want to you spend years doing the same thing over and over
people started looking for exploits after Rare fucked up the game and focused on only playing time and making money from pirate emporium instead of making new world events
guys stop ruining the game by getting more gold 🥺🥺🥺 (the currency is inflated and down the gutter anyway)
