I just did my 2000 silverado after a front end collision and I'm having fender alignment issues. The gap at the bottom of the fender is like 3/8" wide and the top is like 1/8" wide. With the radiator core support not moving forwards or backwards from where it is, I can't figure out how to get the top gap opened (forward) and the bottom in. If the core support was 1/4" LOWER It would align perfect. I didn't use new bushing on the core support or anything, and its not an aftermarket fender or core support. They came off another truck.. I've found TONS of videos on removing the fender from these trucks, but NONE showing how to reinstall AND align them. The only one I found was for a 98 or older body style. I know the ones my 79 K20 use little tabs that work as spacers to set the gaps. But I haven't found anything like that on the 2000 I'm working on.
Had a dun ass belly dump pull out in front of me I had green light he turn right on red without looking I swerve and caught right fender on bridge he kept going I wish I had a dash cam , anyway just replaced my fender easy job first time doing it had it installed to find out I needed to take the bracket that screws gose into on inside door I should have know better but it happens, my truck is a 2001 chevrolet silverado 2500hd 8 foot box still have plenty of life in her soon 23 years old 6.0 v8 so why buy new has huge payments when mine dose the same as a 2023 I keep mine till I'm dead and gone you don't need to remove hood just find a good prop to hold hood up and by antenna the corner plastic cap will pry up to help putting screw back in for hood I agree once you do it once next time a 10 to 15 fender removal very simple
Far from same.. SMH.. there are bolts (2) under the fuse box. Then (2) bolts on the battery tray. Honestly I'd like to think it's more involved for sure

Oh come on I took my wife to a junkyard and we got both fenders off and in the car in a couple of hours

It should be similar, bolts may be different.
