I replaced both of the fenders on my truck today with your help. Thank you. I also experienced the passenger fender lined up great. Drivers side not so much.
I've been told that aftermarket body parts don't always line up properly. Good to hear that the videos helped you out.

Where did you get your fender? I have ordered 4 CAPA so far and they all came damaged so I have 4 new damaged and still haven't spent a dime as I got reimbursed, but all I want is a good new fender...

I was waiting for the driver side. I have seen that the drive side is more difficult. I have to do both of mine also. 2006 Duramax. Mine look like yours or maybe worse. My rocker panels are done.
Hope these videos will be useful when you change yours. The driver side is more challenging. I feared the fuse box removal but it went smoothly. I would have done a video about the rockers but I only half way know what I'm doing with that. I'm confused enough without recording it. Anyway, best wishes. Thank you for watching, again!
The seven bolts holding in the driver side battery tray are what size?
I am in the process of replacing both fenders on my 03 Silverado right now. Battery tray and bolts are quite Rusty but I did get two out using a 10 mm bolt grip socket.
I'm replacing my fenders on a gmc 2005 just found a plastic flap inside the right fender that connect to the air filter box. Just how do you get it

You are so right. I almost instantly regretted putting them back on. I replaced both fenders and the box. It would have been an ideal time to leave them off.
About how long would it take to take that fender out? I’m going to a pick and pull
Also can I just leave the hood on one hinge?
@@JayyMoney-vr7nv I wouldn't know how you would support the hood, but if you figure something out, why not? I wouldn't though. My guess is it would take maybe 1 1/2 hrs to take out.

The only rust left is a bit on the doors and the tailgate.
Sounds like you’re from Canada, I’m sure I’m off. Great job for not being a body man and you had your best friend helping you with the hood! Living in NYS the Capital of RUST BUCKET HEAVEN understanding and having the patience for fixing a truck like this is truly a virtue! My 05 silverado is getting the Shit beat out of it body from all the SALT and WEATHER MODIFICATION WARFARE we as human beings are FORCED TO ENDURE HERE in The Great Lakes Area over A Period of DECADES! Nice job maybe if I can muster up the patience between my cancer treatments and pain management from exhausting amounts of painful spinal surgeries I’ll be able to fix my truck in between fixing my house from the December 22 winter snowstorm that killed human beings along with locking everybody and everything in sight for a couple of weeks!!! It’s a shameful disgraceful sinful world we live in since the deep state Covid tyranny was forced onto humanity, so good for you for keeping yourself busy! We can all bury are heads in the sand now that the Covid tyranny is all gone!
It's not the salt, it's the cheapest garbage metal GM could get the chinese to make the parts out of. My 07 is rotting to high heaven, had to cut out and replace frame cross members. You see adjacent parts, like the shock mounts, top made by the frame manufacturer, in china & rotted away... and the bottom mount made by the rear axle manufacturer, not in china, still solid as the day it was made. Nothing to do with the salt.
My Subaru, now with more miles than my GMC truck, driven eleven years in the same salty conditions, still has hardly any rust on it anywhere. Never, ever buying another GM product. EVER.
That's why I wouldn't have fender flairs

You are right about this. And I put the plastic back on. That's probably a big mistake.
