i gotta say, i love go vacation. not because it's a good game, or even because i enjoy it in the moment, but because its world has a really nice old school charm to it. the game is huge for what feels like no reason, and there are genuinely secrets and tons of little things to see as you travel through it. it's an appeal i have trouble describing and something that a lot of games don't really manage to accomplish for me
I think Nintendo has to expand Punch-Out!!! if they want to make it a success. It feels too arcade-y for people to like. I remember when a lot of people complained a ton about Star-Fox Zero being like that.
@@leonro I think just a remaster of the Wii game could still do pretty well and probably be effortless to make, but as for a new game altogether I get what you mean. I'm a huge Punch-Out fan so I'd just be excited to see a new game at all, but I do know that people want more than just the arcade style goodness Punch-Out is known for. I'm not really sure what they'd do that would feel most fitting; maybe some kind of open world exploration mode around New York where you make a custom character and can train under the opponent boxers? Like a diet Street Fighter 6 World Tour mode. Also I think Star Fox Zero probably would have had less complaints if it didn't stick with the gimmicky controls so hard and, from what I hear, Star Fox fans really don't like how samey the story feels. I can't really comment on it much though cuz I never played it and I'm not a Star Fox guy.
@@bobjeezorham7658 I'm not saying that Star Fox Zero was without faults, just that the game being very arcade-y was a major point of criticism online, especially re-release. After it was released, the criticism mainly went towards what critics disliked (story + controls), but before that, nobody talked about the controls, and there wasn't nearly as much criticism for the story.
Can't say I agree with the pointer thing- being able to reposition my hand and recenter with just a button is actually a pretty big advantage to me over having to point at the screen.
Funnily enough, the Nvidia Shield release of Super Mario Galaxy actually uses the right stick for the pointer controls. I wish they had the option for that in 3D All-Stars.
4:00 The main reason Switch motion control games end up more finnicky is because most games that used Wii Motion Plus still used the sensor bar to basically auto calibrate constantly. The Switch doesn't really have a "sensor bar" so it has no point of reference to recalibrate on its own.

I've never heard about skyward sword before I bought a cartridge when i was helping my friend build a pc, we were looking for a wi-fi adapter in store and there were games for the switch with a decent price. It is an amazing game, (at least on switch) and one of my favorites now. Great adventure with light story, simple battle mechanics and pleasant visual.
a side note on Xenoblade Definitive Edition - it includes a brand-new epilogue chapter called Future Connected, which not only restored the Bionis Shoulder map into a fully playable area, but also featured some foreshadowing for Xenoblade 3 (Future Redeemed in particular)
Skyward Sword HD also made many of the Fi dialogues optional and didn't show item pick ups after booting the game again, which were really the main things they had to fix.
Game needed a lot more than just those to be really fixed. The ridiculous amount of pointless fetch quests that drag the game down, having to go through each area three times, just how braindead easy the game is. But at that point you would need a remake to actually fix those.
@@okagron I can recall only a few of those quests being mandatory, and they didn't last to long from what I remember. Complaining about going to the same areas again doesn't make sense since you access a new separate area afterwards or go through it in a brand new way. You do unlock a hard mode after beating the game, all they really had to do for that is make a toggle option like with WWHD.
@@CDRW24Except you don't go different areas when you go through an old area, that's the problem. You are still in grass world, you are still in volcano world, you are still in sand world. You are in the same area, doing some menial, boring task like awkwardly swimming with terrible controls to catch notes because all the devs thought were ways to needlessly stretch the game for some reason and not actually ways to make the game fun. In any other Zelda games you are not in the forest area three times, you are in volcano area three times, you are not in the sand world three times, not a single game in the series does that. The mandatory quests are boring, drawn out and add nothing to the game except, again, to needlessly drag game on and on. Get the goddess sword but it's not apparently awake, gotta collect flames to wake it up for some reason. Now gotta collect the triforce because padding. Not to mention crap like defending that robot that carries that jug of water because padding. Skyward Sword pretty much took all the bad parts of Twilight Princess and made them far worse while not keeping any of its improvements. It's a padded to shit game that needed much more than a basic ass, overpriced remaster that adds basic shit that should have been in the original to begin with. Paying 60 bucks for basically making Fi dialogue optional is absolutely ridiculous.
It's almost like there was a reason they called it Skyward Sword HD and not Skyward Sword Remastered... because it's not a remaster! Why is it getting heat for not being a good remaster when it was never advertised as such.
We got Wii U games on Nintendo Switch We got Wii U games NOT on Nintendo Switch We got Wii games on Nintendo 3DS And now we got Wii games on Nintendo Switch Now you know what to do to conclude this epic series: Wii games on Wii U
I really hope they roll out a Nintendo Selects for Switch someday. There are quite a few games I'd like to play, but not for full price. Like, I'm never gonna be a big Mario fan, but I could see myself picking up Super Mario Wonder if it ever hit the shelves as a discounted bestseller-style release. But by the time they would do that for Super Mario Wonder, they'd just have another system released. It came so late in the system's life.

Welp, time to update this video with Epic Mickey
Yep
And DKCR
I love the adorable cat just basically reacting in the same way and trying to help with the video at 4:44. XD
Dear Sam and Scott
Thanks for the new hearable audio!

"we're back to wagglin' my ass off!" Is definitely one of the strangest quotes of all time from Scott, I love it
It's almost like there was a reason they called it Skyward Sword HD and not Skyward Sword Remastered... because it's not a remaster! Why is it getting heat for not being a good remaster when it was never advertised as such.
Next, we need "Wii games not on Nintendo switch"
Ah yes the prequel to Wii U games on switch
im so happy you gave so much praise to return to dream land deluxe, it really is an amazing experience.
We got Wii U games on Nintendo Switch
We got Wii U games NOT on Nintendo Switch
We got Wii games on Nintendo 3DS
And now we got Wii games on Nintendo Switch
Now you know what to do to conclude this epic series:
Wii games on Wii U
Scott's cat is so adorable, he deserved a full video on his own
Glad to see Wii games with more traditional controller schemes!
Also, Cat!!! 🐈🥰Would you consider letting him appear in more videos?
Scott’s Tuxedo Cat sleeping gives me a SERIOUS case of cuteness aggression 🥺😭
I really hope they roll out a Nintendo Selects for Switch someday. There are quite a few games I'd like to play, but not for full price. Like, I'm never gonna be a big Mario fan, but I could see myself picking up Super Mario Wonder if it ever hit the shelves as a discounted bestseller-style release.
But by the time they would do that for Super Mario Wonder, they'd just have another system released. It came so late in the system's life.
More Scott lore unlocked. The kitty better be named mittens or boots.
Skyward Sword HD did more than just HD, 60FPS and button controls. They fixed so many small issues from the game.
I know it's a piece of carpet on a table, but having the cats sit in frame has reverted my truth-knowing brain back to "Scott on floor kicking his legs in the air" headcanon
You know Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe was such a fantastic remake on the Nintendo Switch and also it would be cool to see it keep going with the two 3DS Kirby Games of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot being remastered on the Nintendo Switch and also having new epilogue modes for both Taranza and Susie now that would be cool to see those two Kirby 3DS Games being remastered on the Nintendo Switch.
can't wait for your cat to have a starring role in a scott the woz special
Cat the Woz
I always find it absolutely satisfying that you can take these Wii games with you on the go and it's pretty damn cool and impressive!
Hey M64bros! 👋
@@traviscunningham7062 WHATZ UP!!!
So… this video became a reupload after an error from 0:07 to 0:23! It has been fixed now!
The Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier would be great on Switch and get the attention it deserved
...if Yuji Naka wasn't currently in prison
We need more kitty cameos he looks like a very polite little buddy
I hope that DKC Returns joins this list before the generation ends. I would love to play it in HD with button controls.
@ade1174: Um.... Tropical Freeze says "Hi"!
@@marmilaied5218 I love Tropical Freeze. I played it on Wii U, and I double dipped on Switch this year. But I still want Returns in HD.
@ade1174 Tropical Freeze is an better game anyway. So there's bo need for Returns to he on Switch. Besides, the already remade it on 3DS.
I, too, am a bastard, and THIS bastard appreciates YOU, Scott ‘n’ Sam, for the quick fix!
special guest scotts cat
17:20 Lol guys…Colors and Forces couldn’t be further apart in quality. Colors is WAY more fun to play, especially when you actually use the color powers. Play them back to back, then come talk to me.
As a dude who loves video games, and has both of my cats tattood on me... this video made me very happy.
No Muramasa , The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower on Switch is a crime.
We should call it wiireleases
The cat in the shot with Skyward Sword is amazing
We got hearable 0:07 to 0:23 before GTA 6💀
Awesome! now i can hear my favorite scott for +16 seconds! :0
Scott! You didn’t tell us this episode was going to be a collab!
As a massive Klonoa nut, the PRS version of Klonoa 1 is 100% the wii version, just with the voice lines and script from the PS1, a new model for Klonoa instead of the Wii redesign, and generally upgraded visuals. You can tell from mainly the cutscenes, but if you put the Wii version and PRS side by side, you can really tell
