    Great Advise from Dr Rubin
    a few months ago i started brushing my teeth with coconut oil and a tiny bit of clove oil
    and was amazed at the amount of brown staining it removed - still using it now and my teeth and gums feel better than ever
    i do occasionally add a little toothpaste , got a cupboard full of those
    obviously you need to stop eating unhealthy sugary things and switch to eating healthy foods Apples , Avocados etc
    plus i take a daily Multi Vitamin plus Minerals and hopefully this will feed the teeth and keep them strong
    also i had a root canal and the tooth was stainless steel capped and it never felt right for years
    then i recently started taking D3 plus K2 and within 2 weeks the tooth began to feel more solidly bedded

    • @RogerTheil
      @RogerTheil 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Christina Clove oil is extremely strong so I'm not surprised. I've done it without diluting and yeah, it basically removes the topical layer of your gums because it's so strong. That's what makes it a good cleaner. But you can definitely dilute it if you'd rather not burn your mouth.

    1. Massaging gums does not remove plaque, it massages the gum tissue
    2. There is only one method for whitening tooth enamel, which is peroxide. You've mentioned cleaning substances, which might remove some plaque and/or removable surface staining on the enamel.
    3. Acidic substances do not dissolve dentine, rather, they erode enamel. Enamel is the outer surface of the tooth, whereas dentine is inside the tooth, the next layer of the tooth, behind the enamel.
    4. Clove oil should not be used in the mouth unless there is an infection. Using clove oil as you have suggested, on a tooth brush and as a mouth rinse, will only kill the good bacteria, which is necessary for healthy mucosa and gingival tissue, which may lead to a variety of oral infections.
    How do I know this? I am a senior dental nurse.

    • @criticalthinkingisessentia2402
      @criticalthinkingisessentia2402 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sophie W Sadly, I used one drop of clove oil on my toothpaste last night (for the first time) and it burned my whole mouth, including my tongue. Am I now at risk of infections after just one use?

    • @sophie-963
      @sophie-963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hi Christina, I hope your mouth feels normal again? Please only take advice from a dentist or dental therapist. In dentistry, we use oil of clove inside a cavity at the opening of a root canal when there is an infection or an abscess to treat. The ointment we use has the correct dose of oil of clove. If you've used oil of clove straight/neat, it will burn or at least agitate mucosa tissue in your mouth, and perhaps make your gums sore. If you brush your teeth with a recommended tooth paste with fluoride, and you brush properly, and twice per day, then that is all that is required. Of course you must floss. You do not need anything else, certainly not mouth rinses, unless prescribed by a dentist. These solutions also kill the good bacteria. The other most important and preventative way of caring for your teeth is to have a thorough "scale and polish" done by your dentist. If you do not care for your gums and around the teeth where they meet the gums, gingivitis may develop. Gingivitis is anaerobic bacteria which means it can survive and multiply under the gum line. Some people need to see a periodontist whereby their periodontist will clean below the gum line using special instruments and solutions to flush out debris. For removing stain, once or twice per week use bicarbonate soda powder on your tooth brush, and always rinse and squelch thoroughly. All the best

    • @criticalthinkingisessentia2402
      @criticalthinkingisessentia2402 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sophie W Thank you for your informative reply. My tongue is still sensitive but the rest of my mouth has improved. I used the clove oil because I've been having tooth pain but can't get to a dentist at this time. I will not be using clove oil in my mouth again given the reaction I had.

    Baking soda mouthwash is cheap and highly effective. I would add that to the list. A xylitol toothpaste (fluoride free) is highly recommended, too. I can vouch for oil pulling -- huge difference in my teeth in less than a week. oral health is an indication of your general health. first start with blood work, check vit d, b12, cal, etc... take high potency multi mineral and vit supplelement for a while and discontinue, reduce sugar, eat lots of organic green leafy vegetables raw and cooked, include healthy fats like butter, ghee, cod liver oil ,olive oil, almonds, walnuts, sea fish, ingest lots of probiotic, exercise, meditate to reduce stress, as this depletes your body of everything, and most important, have enough sleep.

Because this combination takes the calcium out of the bloodstream and pushes it into the bones and teeth. You can also get K2 from certain Foods, you would have to do a Google search on that.

    I don't think colloidal silver is good advice. There was a guy in my neighborhood with Argyria, a permanent grey discoloration caused by over consumption of Colloidal Silver, seeing him was a strong reminder to stay away from the stuff. Seems to me no one has set a limit as to how much one might take before this happens? The other suggestions seem more sound, however excessive brushing of the gums will cause them to recede as well. I have noticed others have mentiion K2 (natto) .. will give it a try.

    • @bozaimarcanthony5896
      @bozaimarcanthony5896 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't use an electric toothbrush if you have braces, the vibration will cause the glue binding the braces to your teeth to unbind. What you need is an oral irigator.

    • @toothrestorer6588
      @toothrestorer6588 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ Bozai Mark Anthony. Actually the best cleaning device for those with braces is a sonic toothbrush. It’s the most effective device for cleaning around orthodontic appliances. An oral irrigator is like washing your car with just a hose. Patients in my general practice do very well with them and the orthodontists that I refer to recommend them highly It takes a lot more than a sonic toothbrush to loosen brackets

    thank you for the video. There are a few more tips that I use every day. 1. As clove oil, tea tree oil is also very good for flossing with. 2. Baking soda with apple cider vinegar - brush your teeth with this combination at least one time a day. 3. Hydro-flossing is a great care for your teeth as well. 4. Use hydrogen peroxide - hold in the mouse for about 5 min after each teeth brushing and your teeth will be white and shiny.

      All these things are expensive. Anything cheap you have to worry is it synthetic. All supplements have been synthesized by drug companies. Hardly anyone mentions this. You wouldn't expect a professional like Jordan to say so. Too many similar doctors have been targeted, some in the worst way. (100 killed over the last 2yrs) But paying more for your supplements is better than paying dental fees.

      I have no idea why they said it's a waste of time ( I read that article also) because my Dentist told me I could be the poster boy for flossing. 9 areas bleed in my mouth when I stopped and now since I've been flossing I have no bleeding. Don't quit it, learn to enjoy it. I love the hand held pics also. I floss about 4 times a day using the pics most of the time then regular floss before bed.
