    I totally cured long time gum bleeding after years of dentist treatments that never lasted. I started oil pulling daily with organic coconut oil and the hygienist is amazed....no plaque or tartar, pink healthy gums which allowed me to save the remaining teeth they wanted to pull 10 years ago, I do take A,C and D, B1,cod over oil. Not one of 5 dentists I have had ever ever mentioned vitamins.....doctors and dentists today?? I have lost all my faith in them. I now realize with this advice I never should have lost 50 percent of my teeth which happened over the years with very few cavities and I am angry.

      How much Vit. A, C, D and B1 do we need to take per day to heal our gums?

    • @ericabelcher8760
      @ericabelcher8760 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @A.S I do oil pulling! I suggested it to some of my friends & some don't like the feeling in their mouth. But I usually just take a spoonful of the coconut oil & put it in my mouth, move it around the same way you would with mouthwash minus the actual "gargling." Now, the time frame is up to you. There are many videos on YT regarding oil pulling that I think you should check out in your spare time. Most sometimes suggest just letting it sit in your mouth 10 - 15 mins. Some ppl say they do that while maybe taking a shower, etc, helps the time go by. But some ppl say they don't have time, so they'll do it for a few mins! Either way, it's still beneficial! Personally, I usually do it for about 10 mins while im getting ready & also at night. Again, just try to implement what works for you.

    The fact Eric talks about his past health problems gives insight into his motivations. He researched and experimented on himself. He learned the hard way, and that comes through in how thorough he is.
    Many Dr's who have had good genes and health, due to socio economic reasons often have no clue about living with ill health. They are just academic in their approach, and all too often led by the financial inducements of pharmaceutical companies.

      HORRIBLE ADVICE. COD LIVER OIL IS TOXIC. I'd like to meet this mother you speak of. YOUR MOTHER WOULD BE SICK WITH CRONES, EXCZEMA, ALTZHEIMERS OR DIMENSIA, OR HAVE ASTHEMA OR FRACTURED HIPS BY NOW IF SHE TOOK THAT MUCH COD LIVE OIL. Particularly if her liver had had some sort of trauma along the way. I'd really like to know about this.

    During the first 6 weeks of lock down I was so depressed I apparently forgot my oral hygiene. My gums became sore and bleeding. I used peroxide in a Water Pik and it would clear it up but, it kept moving to different parts of my mouth. Finally decided that while the peroxide was doing a good job of killing off the bad bacteria it seemed I needed good bacteria. I continued with the peroxide but, also started drinking kefir and the pain and bleeding did not return. Just sharing this experience as the dentist and web could not help me.

    I am fascinated by the fact that Dr.Berg craved butter as a child and would steal a stick of butter and eat it. I did that, too. Child of the 50s. Nice fresh veg from the garden, but also lots of candy, sugar, ice cream. My parents lived through the Depression and overcompensated. I hat lots of cavities, gum problems, dental work all my life! Now I am on keto, no sugar except a little in the berries and fresh fruits I eat. I also brush with bicarbonate of soda and 3% hydrogen peroxide. Gets rid of any incipient plaque. We crave what we instinctively know will help us. I never knew this about butter, but have always loved it.

    I, too, had a ton of cavities when I was a little girl, fillings galore and those silver caps. Ugh!!! I feel like I spent half my childhood in a dentist’s chair!I was a sugar fiend, for sure. Loved candy, ice cream, cake, sugary breakfast cereals, you name it!
    I am so very, very grateful for the information you have shared with all of us in this video. God Bless you!

    I had a small blister like infection in my gum that I thought I could eliminate with coconut oil swishing and oregano and clove oil in my water pik.
    Long story short it did not clear up and two of my front teeth became loose. My dentist was keen to pull them out but I went to a Periodontist and had some, fairly aggressive, root planing over a few months. Plus using a strong antibacterial mouth rinse. the infection did clear, however the gum and bone loss are quite severe. I have persevered with careful cleaning and upped my intake of probiotic foods and so far (almost two years later) the looseness is minimal and I have managed to retain these front teeth.
    I have since researched and understand certain types of bacteria in the mouth can be quite aggressive.
    Dental hygiene and eating well is the best option. Thanks again to Dr Berg for his incredible array of research and knowledge.
    I have switched to very soft electric toothbrushes and am a lot more gentle in my brushing.

    Thank you for this. I was a extremely hardcore alcoholic. When i went to the doctor recently they said my liver and kidneys were good. However watching your videos I'm going to just assume that they are severely damaged. So I've been on keto now for 3 weeks my energy is amazing. my brain is amazing. I so IF with one meal a day. I so light wieghts and mountain bike while fasting. I don't crave food or alcohol witch is awesome. However i am poor so i can't always afford the good organic food. I am just now starting your kale shakes and im excited. I did find some plant based electrolyte powder at the health food store but it was 40$ and sadly i need gas for work. I am a PCA cause i care for people who struggle. So i just do lemon water, a teaspoon of kosher salt and apple cider vinegar. Is kosher salt ok if i don't have sea salt? Thank you so much for your videos. I watch them everyday ever ones I've seen just to refresh myself. I'm trying your pizza recipe this weekend. Sorry this was so long. I never knew that was a thing. I don't crave food at all. Meaning sugar and carbs. I eat one meal a day. Is a bid meal so i do feel full so i hope that's ok? I bought one just recently cause I always like trying new stuff, you could call me a supplement junkie 😇 Was not even taking it for any specific reason. But I’ve noticed after only a few days how nice and light pink and strong the gums suddenly were and also the teeth felt just .. not sure how to describe .. just “healthy”. I did not change anything else during that time so I attribute it to the supplement. And my gums and all was fine before but this really took things up a notch.

I am impressed with the results. My acne is nearly gone and my teeth and gums have never been better. I’ve also been taking fermented cod liver oil which I know there is a lot of controversy about it, but honestly, I have only benefited from it and so have countless other people. There are testimonies all over the internet of people healing their teeth and bones with it (obviously diet has to be good as well)

    I never had a cavity before age 17. But I started working in a grocery store at age 16 (in 1980) and basically had unlimited access to candy bars (a thing we just didn't have in my house because my mom was trying to feed a family of 6 on a lumberjack's salary. So no junk or fast food in the house, which is why I loved my Snickers bars at work! It was a delicious bonus!). You are absolutely correct; the so-called authorities did not talk about the link between sugar and cavities back then!

    • @petesmitt
      @petesmitt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I had no cavities as a child but in my early 20's, I read a book about Fruitarianism, pushing fruit as the ideal food for humans; I fell for it and consumed mainly fresh and dried fruit for several years; predictably, my teeth developed numerous cavities from all the fruit sugar and acid.

    • @toothrestorer6588
      @toothrestorer6588 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Who are the so called authorities you are referring to? The link between caries and sugar consumption had been long established way before the 1980s. The American Dental Association had films made that were shown to school children in the 1950’s showing the risk of tooth decay in children with high sugar consumption.

    • @thereligionofrationality8257
      @thereligionofrationality8257 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@toothrestorer6588 Perhaps, but I recall much more stress being put on dental hygiene (brushing multiple times per day, flossing, etc.) than on sugar consumption reduction. There's an interesting study easily found online called the "Sugar Papers" that documents the collusion between the sugar industry and the federal government in an effort to find ways to reduce tooth decay in children that DIDN'T involve reducing sugar intake! You may be absolutely correct, but I was a child of the 70s, not the 50s.

    • @toothrestorer6588
      @toothrestorer6588 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thereligionofrationality8257 My point was that in the 1950s, this was already prevalent. By the 1970s, this was widespread. I am also a child of the the 70s. We learned about this in school and it was discussed at every dental visit. Maybe you are just more aware of things as an adult. From what you are saying, I’m guessing that the authorities you are referring to are the government. BTW oral hygiene is also very important not just for your teeth, but also for your gums.

    The best thing I ever did to help my teeth was STOP USING TOOTHPASTE or MOUTHWASH! These products are what CAUSE imbalance! They also contain glycerine which coats the teeth and prevents remineralizatiin….thus causing decay. Brush with water! Keep vitamin D3/K2 levels good, floss, and scrape the tongue. You can place a probiotic tablet on the tongue and hop into bed each night. This with help repopulate the good bacteria in the mouth. I went 8 years without visiting a dentist and when I finally went in for a cleaning the hygienist said, “You’ve taken excellent care of your teeth. There is very little tartar on them and you have no cavities. Even your wisdom teeth are decay free!” I’m nearly 60! I clean any tartar off the inside of my bottom teeth myself with an appropriate tool. Rebuild your good flora! The digestive track starts in the mouth and ends at the anus! FLOURIDE and other toxic chemicals wreak havoc on it!!!

    ive had a dairy and egg allergy my entire life. i tried drinking raw milk and raw butter. i also tried eggs straight from chickens on the farm next to the market. i did this in hopes that the allergy is a result of processed and poor quality foods rather than a general allergy. the symptoms i get are not very prominent so i cant tell if they are impacting my body or not. when i was younger the symptoms were severe but ive grown somewhat of a tolerance. but now im older and trying natural ingredients. could consuming these without guarantee of overcoming the allergy negatively impact my body without me feeling it immediately? i want to do keto very bad but my diet is already so restricted without eggs, milk and butter that it makes it very hard to do so. it is still doable but i would really like to at least be able to consume butter and eggs. side note i use your electrolyte blend and nutritional yeast regularly and i really appreciate the information you spread! it has changed my life and as i can see many others.

    Thank you Dr Berg for all these helpful tips. It's not secret that eating healthy and making smart food choices can help keep your body in good health. Good oral health starts with good diet. Since childhood, I've been consuming ghee in limited proportions. I love to have crunchy fruits and vegetables. After watching your video on dental plaque, I looked up baking soda as a way of breaking down tartar and it works over time.

    Getting a lollypop at the dentist is like going to a garage to get your tires changed and right before you leave they poke a tiny hole in it. Gotta keep them coming back, good for business :D

      They used to do that back in the days. I even remember a dentist trying to bribe me into behaving with a really pretty set of toy pearls. But, they hand out small tubes of toothpaste and toothbrush nowadays.

    I definitely think you can overdo it with vitamin A. Vitamin A toxicity can damage your liver. It's important, we should consume it but cod liver oil is just too high for long-term consumption. Same with any form of the liver. We shouldn't just be eating liver, we need to consume all organs, and rotate them. one day eat kidneys, then the next eat beef tongue, then a few days later eat heart, thymus, brain, anything you can think of. So in reality you might be eating liver once a month maybe less. Judy Cho from nutrition with Judy talks about this. I think she is right.

    middle european here
    we were never given candies or lollipops at the dentist. they gave children those tiny toothpaste samples & all the kids loved it because those were cute & fun. so it was a win-win situation
    thank you for the informative video again! I was always told that my cavity problem is just genetic. that’s the easiest thing to tell someone instead of actually trying to find the cause. really only we can treat & cure ourselves because sadly our doctors are either don’t bother with it or too overwhelmed

      They don’t give lollipops at the dentist in the US either. If the do, they would be sugar free.
