Few things you didn't mention or missed. 1. each hit is guaranteed 50 damage in the crucible on a body shot, even to supers. The extra "40" that pops up separate to the larger number (which is the combined total of the pellets) is the Shock Blast perk which does extra shock damage. (This is actually AoE damage too, so it's even easier to kill enemies packed together) 2. this weapon has a tendency to completely miss all pellets regardless of distance if you try to aim down sights while airborne. 3. Due to the handling speed and the fact that it has no damage drop off at all actually makes this the one gun in the game that is better to hip-fire at all times. (aiming down sight simply lowers you're mobility and harms the aim assist) 4. Because of the AoE nature of Shock Blast perk, it gets more and more damage the larger the group of enemies fired into.
Shotguns can shoot further than 4 meters in real life too... so I don't see why that is a problem. Plus it's a power weapon, it could have a bit more range: given how every boss (except maybe one :D ) has aoe stomp in this game.

I recommend having helpful power weapon mods on your armor when going for this weapon, the increase in reload speed, and handling should make it a bit more viable to use.
I hope this ends up with a very long quest tree that in the end gives it a 5 shot clip and gives it a lot more ammo. After all that work it should be the best close range weapon in the game and it being an exotic I would be ok with that.
But it's so unfair that you need to do the hardest activity in the game to get the best gun, they should give it to me because I'm an entitled twat who needs to be catered too

I really hope the Last Upgrade gives it 3 shots in the mag, 12 or 10 in total and adds another extra perk for PVE. Or they just make it 320 so it's the highest Level gun

To be honest it has more ammo per kill them most other shotguns, for example hawthorns has 8 in the mag but you need to use basically all 8 to kill a major where as with this you need only 2. So this can net you more kills in PvE then most other shotguns. In PvP its deadly.
I'm salty because Bungie fixed the seals glitch a week after my team had farmed 100 seals. They didn't even acknowledge it until the patch was right around the corner
You should have waited till the last part. In the app when you inspect the weapon you can see it with more ammo and higher capacity. That being 4 in the mag etc.

I hope the prestige upgrade makes the gun better. It definitely feels very lackluster compared to Outbreak Prime. But they might not want guns like that in the game anyways. But why not if such a small percentage completes the raid, much less goes through some quest-chain beating the raid a bunch to get a hopefully raid-designed gun. Pretty run-on sentence there but hopefully my point is understood.

It's probably for its ornament, if I had to guess. The ornament itself is likely to be something that makes it look like the Raid weapons, if I had to guess.
this gun is stupid fun in pvp, I just wait for people to pop supper's then wreck them with this gun. I get a similar feeling to using mythoclast in d1 (although I got the gun after it was nerfed). I miss those days of getting a hard to get item and feeling like Im running around with Excalibur.

there is no final upgrade, only the exotic ornament for completing prestige raid, that is it. So yea...this steaming pile of shit is all we get, kinda lame considering the amount of effort needed to get it, what a let down.

Zelda Things bruh j have 305 merciless and i can't 1 phase But with the raid rocket lancher i can kill 2 dogs in 1 phase with 36x power 😊 Edit and it is a legndary so it gives me the choice of using another exotic on power wepone or kintec

I couldn't help but think of Datto and the "nut cannon" whenever you talked about it in PVP.
Don't get me wrong, I love the aesthetics of the gun, but for a giganto shotgun of death I would want a batter reload animation

Not more range, just more wedges & interactives are highlighted. You can get a better sense of where enemies are, but it's still the same range.
