I have been subscribed for a long time to the channel and I was worried about what would happen if you get more subscribers, as some youtubers lose themselves and act too much. The amount of work you put in this video, specifically, and all Destiny 2 videos is admirable. Well done, and thank you for making awesome content.
I don't know if anyone was aware, but the Young Ahamka's perk works for in the void subclass for hunters. The void grenade that pulls enemies in (forget the name) also marks every target it damages. Amazing for PvE so you don't lose those fleeing mobs or mobs that are better at hiding.
I would add one note to the Knucklehead Radar. It marks chests and planetary resources on your radar INCLUDING region chests, which makes it super useful in PvE when rep grinding. I'd give it an extra point just for that.
As Ive played a Warlock main all through Destiny 1 and now 2, I've only just gotten my Titan and Hunter to level 20 and its nice to get some information on how I should play them and what to use. Before this video I was using the wrong subclass trees for certain activities. Not that I really play on them much but eventually I will once we get to the content gaps.
I always look forward to your reviews on everything in Destiny even in D1. It seems like you put more effort into your reviews. Some people just play and review you give in-depth strategies and tactics which I love. Gives me a new way to play. Please keep up the good work you do. And thanks for making me a better Destiny player.
Uhh yeah... that's why I use it, put on the bottom skill tree so you're harder to kill while dodging too. Unstoppable. One of my favorite setups for pvp
I would give all the tracking exotics one addition point in their PvP rating for one reason. A marked target can not just be seen by you, but also by your teammates . If not only you , but everyone else in your team can benefit of these perks , then there is definitly more utility behind it than just helping you out as an individual. Other than that minor thing I wholeheartly agree with this list. Since I've gotten the Orpheus Rig, I can not go off from my nightstalker in PvE. Its so much fun to use and so powerful, it makes nearly all kinds of PvE content a walk through the park. Especially the Raid and all the sections where there are plenty of enemies. From the Castellum to the Throneroom. A nightstalker with these boots make it rather easy! Highly recommend everyone to get their hands on that as a Hunter! Wished titans could have something as good as that!
I would like to add an information about " Orpheus Rig " . If shot your arrow and quickly throw your grenade before the " Uncanny Arrows " perk activate you will get another grenade to throw.
The ST0MP EE5 are really fantastic when you combine them with 10 mobility. And it's gets even better when you put on the mini midi and meta mida and you can literally walk almost as fast as other players sprinting. Also you jump so ridiculously high with the high jump perk on. I've caused damage to myself from hitting ceilings constantly. But it's so fun
I think it would be a good thing to give the grenade effecting exotics the effect that they give you an extra grenade (like in Destiny 1), especially since Titans get a subclass that can have 2 grenades.
Well I mean giving Hunters a second nade charge would be well I don't want to be ridiculed again for having 2 skips Right after the person dies from not wanting to disengage.
Thank you!! I love your reviews and they help a lot to know what I should use (so I don't pick lucky pants over celestial nighthawk for example). Great work! :)
I'd bump Foetracer up another point, just because of how many people decide that peaking is a good idea. Kept an entire team bottled up in the tower near B on Vostok with it and a MIDA by myself because I kept refreshing Foetracer on them one at a time and keeping their shields down from across the map with MIDA. Ended up taking them all out after I got my sword. They were so used to keeping their heads down and pointed in one direction that they didn't see me coming. Easiest team wipe I've ever had!
TheHeadincharge apparently it's really good against bosses because of that damage buff to critical health enemies which starts at around 25% of their health
Lucky pants with the Sturm and Drang is actually pretty nice in pve, thanks to the extra precision damage on the Sturm. Killing a doggo with the drang, swapping extra fast, and getting them headshots is quite nice.
A few combos: Since Hand Cannons are so god damn good on PC, I really recommend that people on PC get Lucky Pants, especially if you’re using things like Better Devils, Dire Promise, Sunshot, etc. Mechaneers tricksleeves are basically just Lucky Pants for Sidearms, which could go really well with things like Last Dance or any other Omolon 3 burst sidearms. Just a heads up, dont use MiDA with Knucklehead Radar, use Armillary Psu when wearing KR, that way, you basically have a rare MIDA, so you can use another exotic, like Wardcliff Coil, Merciless, etc.
I use the Tricksleeve for what i have found as one of the most fun load-outs I've ever used in Crucible, using the Sleeve, the Travelers Chosen, and the Fighting Lion. Its the only reason i can stand spending hours in Banner
What about the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps? The Nightmare Fuel perk reloads your equipped weapon when you deal melee damage. It’s not bad in PvP but incredibly good with the Way of the Warrior Arcstrider. Especially in PvE
The only exotics i want is the celestial helm and orpheus rig. But i really like your video going in depth. It also does a good job at helping people find what they want if they are only interested in a certain item
I like that both the dragons shadow and the stompee5 seemed underwhelming at first but people are realising theres a large skill ceiling. I havent been lucky enough to get the stompee5 yet but from playing against them I know Ill love them. If you've ever chased a hunter round a corner and then hes dissapeared only for him to be way above you and firing his sidearm down on top of you....Yeah its pretty effective.
I am looking at a stuffed vault with one of every legendary weapon in the game minus a few. I have you ever thought of making a video (series) on what to just shard? I know that future updates could make anything good but there has to be some weapons that just cannot be good without a major overhaul, or ones that are have have another weapon that does its job better. This might help Briar and Tefty as well.
Foetracer should be higher for pvp, it's been amazing for me in trials, especially when paired with a Mida (or any High Cal weapon), to get that first stagger is a game changer in alot of cases! Apart from that agree with most of the ratings, great job!
Completely agree with every rating aside from one. FoeTracer in PvP is much better than a "3" IMO. I don't think for a second that this helm is better for PvE. Tracking enemies doesn't really matter and while the damage buff is nice... I personally believe that tracking foes in PvP is maybe the MOST useful thing an exotic can provide to an encounter. For PvP my opinion would be easily a "4" approaching a "5", if the damage buff had been more substantial in PvP. Love the video and keep up the great work!
Nice video! Personally, I reckon the lucky raspberry deserves a higher score in PvP since the grenade refresh is actually really strong around half the time.
Dragon chest is amazing. One of the most underrated in the game It gets a bad rap because most players can't use it properly. He was right it has a very high skill cap. It's basically or Orphideon aspect for hunters in Destiny 2.
Very nice video. The speed at which you explained everything helped me clearly understand everything you were saying whereas other people talk way too fast at times and I only hear every other word they’re saying. A bit robotic sounding in my opinion, but otherwise a great video. Thanks!
I like the orpeus rig in PvP, the bonus energy may not be much, but with all my cool down mods, I basically get my grenade back, good for clearing capture points
Might just be me but I’m pretty sure the young ahamkara’s spine’s tracking affect shows to your ally’s aswell. Might not change much but nice for trials.
Using the Stomp-EE5 is insane with MIDA Multitool. I find mobility to be the most useless stat though since that is more walk speed and best for strafing, and seeing as I main with hunter, having high resilience with moderate recovery and lower mobility, with any class, these boots, and MIDA Multitool, you will be crazy fast and hard to kill if you're a good player.
It is fairly average though... you hardly notice the increase damage and the tracker is only good if you can push. 90% of the time solo pushing equals your death.
I actually really like how you have no 5/5 pvp exotic for the hunter, I'd like to see what qualifies as a 5/5 in the future! In my eyes, I think I would have to rate the Knucklehead as a 5/5 in the game as it is right now. Compared to the other hunter exotics for PvP, and due to the changes to radar refresh after ADS. Great Breakdown Holtz!
I love the stompees. If you set up right you can outflank everyone in crucible. Sliding around corners snd such. Running around with a smg reminds of blinking around with my shotgun in Destiny 1.
I don't play Nightstalker much (don't have the right gear for it yet) so I've never seen the orphius rigs in action. I fucking YELLED when I saw how fast that super bar jumped! MOM HOLY FUCK.
i feel for trials of the nine the perks you should choose should affect your subclass abilities like grenades jump class abililitys and additional perks besides super
Patrick Casey I think you're a little off on the utility in PVE for lucky pants. Two good PVE weapons are Better Devils and Sunshot. Combine with Chains of Woe and Marksman's Dodge for reload buffs and remember to switch back and forth between the two HCs to proc illegally modded holster. Fun and effective. Deserves at least a 3/5 but I respect your opinion. Great channel content thanks for this list!
This video has made you another subscriber. I really really hope you get a chance to do titan and warlock as well. Titan first because obviously they are the best.
Thanks, this is really useful. It's a pity that the Raiden Flux looks so hideous, since Arcstrider is my favourite spec so far. On my Titan, I have actually opted to not use the Doomfang Pauldrons, for exactly that reason.
Question for celestial: since its 6x the damage, does the six shooter perk basically deal the same damage and the bottom skill tree is the only way to actually get use out of the helm?
My list S Tier PvE- bird mask, arrow boots (best for gunslinger, and shadowshot respectively, only heathens use arc staff in PvE) S Tier PvP- rolly polly chestplate S Tier FUN- stomseez (put these on for 5 - 10 minutes and you'll probably break the game.)
For those of you guys and girls who main Titans for PVP, PLEASE try out the Lions Rampant! It's perk is completely incorrect, and the benefits of that exotic are insane. You can Titan skate with a faster acceleration, your jump jets last TWICE as long, you fly up higher, AND you get four jump hey bursts instead of three. It is HILARIOUSLY underrated, and underused.
You sure the Stompees increase Strafe Jump height? I've tried them with Stafe Jump and didn't notice a difference. Could have been too small a difference for me to notice, but since the difference with High Jump is so severe I assumed it'd be the same with Strafe Jump.
I didn't start using dragons shadow until I heard you and watts talk about them in dcp podcast. Thanks I love them and I'm the sexiest hunter in d2 with my ib helmet and trials cloak

GreatWaffles I like you
We need more of these tier list videos. Great stuff!
TheTypicalTubers this is just how holtz rolls
I have been subscribed for a long time to the channel and I was worried about what would happen if you get more subscribers, as some youtubers lose themselves and act too much. The amount of work you put in this video, specifically, and all Destiny 2 videos is admirable. Well done, and thank you for making awesome content.
You make the only reviews I watch, very thorough explanations. Great work Holtzmann
I don't know if anyone was aware, but the Young Ahamka's perk works for in the void subclass for hunters. The void grenade that pulls enemies in (forget the name) also marks every target it damages. Amazing for PvE so you don't lose those fleeing mobs or mobs that are better at hiding.
I'd love to see Titan and Warlock exotic lists. You have a very detailed point of view and how each exotic can be applied to playstyles.
These kind of videos is why Patrick is the best Destiny content creator hands down. Solid job every time, every review. Keep it up Holtz!
I would add one note to the Knucklehead Radar. It marks chests and planetary resources on your radar INCLUDING region chests, which makes it super useful in PvE when rep grinding. I'd give it an extra point just for that.
Detailed and insightful as always! Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see your tier list for the exotics of the other classes!
Best channel for hunters. Even though you cover other classes at times. Still, I can feel you're mainly a hunter bro.
I always look forward to your reviews on everything in Destiny even in D1. It seems like you put more effort into your reviews. Some people just play and review you give in-depth strategies and tactics which I love. Gives me a new way to play. Please keep up the good work you do. And thanks for making me a better Destiny player.
Why is it so satisfying to hear him say “out of 5” like a game show host or announcer
Definitely appreciate the in depth looks at these armor pieces.
I have a question about the dragons shadow for arctrider. If you use the dodge while in super does it also grant the movement speed buff?
Klan King that...it's interesting
I am low-key mind blown outside in
I’m curious about that too....
Uhh yeah... that's why I use it, put on the bottom skill tree so you're harder to kill while dodging too. Unstoppable. One of my favorite setups for pvp
It does and as an arcstrider main I use Dragon Shadow all the time in PvP, it's really useful for wiping out enemies
Great vid @holtzmann. I knew I was using the right boots for pvp and pve, but this solidified it damn well. Keep up the great work!!
I would give all the tracking exotics one addition point in their PvP rating for one reason. A marked target can not just be seen by you, but also by your teammates . If not only you , but everyone else in your team can benefit of these perks , then there is definitly more utility behind it than just helping you out as an individual.

Great video Patrick! Super high quality as always.
This was a great and thorough video! Really well put together!
Great review I'm looking forward to you reviewing the Exotics 4 Titans and Warlocks
Thank you. That was super helpful, I've been trying to find a good pve gunslinger exotic and now I found it. Thanks!
I would like to add an information about " Orpheus Rig " . If shot your arrow and quickly throw your grenade before the " Uncanny Arrows " perk activate you will get another grenade to throw.
The ST0MP EE5 are really fantastic when you combine them with 10 mobility. Thanks for the video! Love these breakdown videos. Looking forward to videos like this for the other classes!
Really enjoyed the video, well written, delivered and great information. Thank you.
This is a wonderful video. You provide great commentary and your own opinion as well! Great content.
Great video and thanks for all the testing you've done and analysis. Love the content!
Thanks for the tight work and solid reasoning as usual. Keep it up homie.
This video was great! Everything in one. Can't wait for the Titan/warlock reviews
I appreciate the effort you put into making the information quick thank you
Raiden Flux is perfect for me since Arc Strider is my favorite class. Love it so much.
I’ve got to say that the mechaneer’s tricksleeve makes the last hope very effective in pvp and occasionally in pve
Well done as always. can't wait to see the other classes!
I think it would be a good thing to give the grenade effecting exotics the effect that they give you an extra grenade (like in Destiny 1), especially since Titans get a subclass that can have 2 grenades.
Well I mean giving Hunters a second nade charge would be well
I don't want to be ridiculed again for having 2 skips
Right after the person dies from not wanting to disengage.
Aero Mashy so they died because they challenged you? Not because you threw two skips at them?
Thank you!! I love your reviews and they help a lot to know what I should use (so I don't pick lucky pants over celestial nighthawk for example). Great work! :)
*uses Lucky Pants*
*Also goes double handcannons*
Kinetic HC + Sunshot + Sniper
Beta bias build. I love it
Aero Mashy why do people like Sunshot so much? Maybe I just can't get it to work for me.
Henry Spencer its fire rate isnt the best for pvp but it feels amazing to shoot
Mr Roboto310 Its high noon
Henry Spencer The reload speed is amazing, it feels great to shoot and you get to ee your enemies explode. Plus it looks pretty cool.

Foetracer is definitely a 4/5, bordering on 5/5 in PvP. Why did you rate it higher in PvE? I feel it has very little utility at all in PvE.
TheHeadincharge apparently it's really good against bosses because of that damage buff to critical health enemies which starts at around 25% of their health
TheHeadincharge I agree that it should be higher than 3/5 in PvP, but it absolutely does have utility in PvE. It's a free damage buff to bosses.
hfzelman Yes, but there are other bosses in the game.
hfzelman Dogs in the Garden makes FoeTracer amazing
TheHeadincharge young amarka spine 2/5 dragon shadow 4/5 rly are you even a hunter
Lucky pants with the Sturm and Drang is actually pretty nice in pve, thanks to the extra precision damage on the Sturm. Killing a doggo with the drang, swapping extra fast, and getting them headshots is quite nice.
this was a really useful video, i hope you do more on the other classes :)
Thank you so much holtz, please do the other characters. I love these videos.
A few combos:

@Patrick Casey at time stamp 6:46 what cloak and what helmet are you wearing?
Thanks Patrick. Your my favorite Destiny TH-camr.
What about the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps? The Nightmare Fuel perk reloads your equipped weapon when you deal melee damage. It’s not bad in PvP but incredibly good with the Way of the Warrior Arcstrider. Especially in PvE
This DEFINITELY deserves a like. Thank you for the info.
The only exotics i want is the celestial helm and orpheus rig. But i really like your video going in depth. It also does a good job at helping people find what they want if they are only interested in a certain item
I never watched the full video but as always its a thumbs up from me ... Ive been a fan of your content from the 2014 planet vanilla destiny days :)
Doing theTraveler's work again, Patrick - thanks for the time & effort you put into these.
I like that both the dragons shadow and the stompee5 seemed underwhelming at first but people are realising theres a large skill ceiling. I havent been lucky enough to get the stompee5 yet but from playing against them I know Ill love them. Didn't know that Celestial Nighthawk came back, now I'm super excited for when I get it
I love using the minimum distance and fool's remedy at the same time so mechaneer's tricksleeve is fun.
I like the thought you put in this video structure.
Foetracer should be higher for pvp, it's been amazing for me in trials, especially when paired with a Mida (or any High Cal weapon), to get that first stagger is a game changer in alot of cases! Apart from that agree with most of the ratings, great job!

Great video man, thanks! You should do Titan and warlock as well!
Awesome video, I've been trying to get the celestial nighthawk, but for some reason, I ONLY GET RAIDEN FLUX AND LUCKY PANTS
Dragon chest is amazing. One of the most underrated in the game It gets a bad rap because most players can't use it properly. He was right it has a very high skill cap. It's basically or Orphideon aspect for hunters in Destiny 2.

Might just be me but I’m pretty sure the young ahamkara’s spine’s tracking affect shows to your ally’s aswell. Might not change much but nice for trials.
Raider flux is so fucking good. I got two triple kills back to back with arc staff using this bad boy in one super activation
In PVE lucky pants can be useful in cancelling our recoil on some hand cannons add that to my handling master work and mod and I rarely miss
That is the best destiny 2 video I've ever seen. Thanks a lot Patrick.
foetracer is much better than a 3/5 in pvp imo
the best pvp exo indeed
Everyone says it's great but it is average to me I much prefer Knucklehead. I don't need to see where someone is for 5 seconds behind a wall.
I thought this to, its literally wall hacks. How is the foetracer not rated higher?
there is no point for knucklehead radar because pvp is mida city. it is only viable for things likee uriel and nameless midnight
It is fairly average though... you hardly notice the increase damage and the tracker is only good if you can push. 90% of the time solo pushing equals your death.
so informative. this helped a lot as a main hunter. sub and like. props
For triple jump what it does is increase ur horizontal distance
I actually really like how you have no 5/5 pvp exotic for the hunter, I'd like to see what qualifies as a 5/5 in the future!
In my eyes, I think I would have to rate the Knucklehead as a 5/5 in the game as it is right now. Compared to the other hunter exotics for PvP, and due to the changes to radar refresh after ADS.
Great Breakdown Holtz!
Thank you for this video. It is very valuable helpful and thorough.
lol that unexpected dead "No" at 5:26
I love the stompees. If you set up right you can outflank everyone in crucible. Sliding around corners snd such. Running around with a smg reminds of blinking around with my shotgun in Destiny 1.
Great vid!! And i just subbed you.keep up the good work.
I personally run lucky pants w dual hand cannons
I don't play Nightstalker much (don't have the right gear for it yet) so I've never seen the orphius rigs in action. I fucking YELLED when I saw how fast that super bar jumped! MOM HOLY FUCK.
xazz i
xazz did it not get nerfed tho
aidancarmichael 67
I mean I don't play Nightstalker so I don't... really care???
i feel for trials of the nine the perks you should choose should affect your subclass abilities like grenades jump class abililitys and additional perks besides super
Great video. Would love to see similar one for Titans.
great video I would love to see ones for titan and warlock
Patrick Casey I think you're a little off on the utility in PVE for lucky pants. Two good PVE weapons are Better Devils and Sunshot. It's a pity that the Raiden Flux looks so hideous, since Arcstrider is my favourite spec so far. On my Titan, I have actually opted to not use the Doomfang Pauldrons, for exactly that reason.
Why would anyone 'dislike' this video? Great content...
gilbert243 because he has no idea how powerful foe tracer can be.
luck pants are good if you use your hand cannon as a secondary
When he shows the helmets what's the gauntlets he's wearing??
So essentially Sturm and Lucky Pants go well as a finishing type of weapon in PvP?
I love sidearms I sometime run double side arms. Mostly sidearms and hand cannons.
Question for celestial: since its 6x the damage, does the six shooter perk basically deal the same damage and the bottom skill tree is the only way to actually get use out of the helm?
Great video and pace!
Do u know what provides a bigger sprint increase between the dragons shadow and the st0mp?
My list
S Tier PvE- bird mask, arrow boots (best for gunslinger, and shadowshot respectively, only heathens use arc staff in PvE)
S Tier PvP- rolly polly chestplate
S Tier FUN- stomseez (put these on for 5 - 10 minutes and you'll probably break the game.)

This dude's voice is super relaxing
Great video as always Patrick. Dragon's Shadow will be mine one day.
