You forgot about Barkspawn, the Mabari from Dragon Age: Origins. Well, Barkspawn wasn't his official name, but let's be realistic: it's his best name. He too was able to bring you presents, fight for you, and most importantly: "He's not mangy!"
when they said "we gave our dog a stupid name" i was thought it was going to be something really immature. But honestly how is Dave a stupid name for a dog?
The dog companion from Dragon Age Origins was adorable, loyal and all that jazz, but to be honest the true mvps who deserve a shout out are the animals you could call to aid you when playing as a ranger; wild spiders, wolves and bears fighting for you till death. I always tried to protect them as best I could.
but Andy was part of this video and he knows Horsen better than anyone. Of course that also means he knows that the OP is correct - John is the companion.
My favorite are the animal companions in far cry primal especially the blood fang saber tooth and the black jaguar and the best part is you can pet them
I had a giant cat companion mod for Fallout 4 who broke my game so i couldn't talk with anyone, but it still broke my heart to say goodbye to him. RIP, I'll remember you Rafe :'(
We’re missing two very important doggies here - your dog from Dragon Age: Origins and the wolf from Resident Evil 4. I’d be dead without either of them, both inside and out.
I've only been playing AC Origins for two weeks and Senu is my best friend. She always turns up when I need her :) Mainly when I'm failing horribly at combat.
Caitlin RC It took me a while to get. Despite completely finishing the main quest and multiple hours in I’ve still not utilised the mechanics properly. Especially jarring when going back to the previous titles - though you can, at least change the control scheme
The mabari from Dragon Age Origins was amazing. loves you pretty much no matter what, and if you weren't a human noble this wasn't even your pet from youth, just a dog you helped out and it tracked you down to repay the life debt. THAT'S a best friend. Also the growling match between them and Sten. Perfection.
D-Dog from Metal Gear Solid 5. Not only will he murder all of your enemies for you, but he uses a knife to do it, does a cute flip afterwards, and all after he let you dress him up in weird semi-bondage gear.
A little blast from the past but do you guys remember Trico from The Last Guardian? You know the giant, cat-like creature with tail that shoot out laser and adorable little wings that you totally gonna abandon at the end of the game. Or did you also forgot about him just like you forgot about Horseson, you heartless monsters!
But this list is not "best animal pals", it's "animal pals we didn't deserve". I haven't played The Last Guardian, but I've seen it played and if I recall correctly, you find it wounded and trapped and you rescue it, and at least in the beginning you're both travelling together in the only direction you can. It's not like Trico's leaving its Trico stuff aside to help you on your quest.
Spoiler alert then, in the end you gonna abandon Trico to rejoin the rest of human society. Kind of like the Jungle Book but much worse since Trico is pretty much the last of its kind if I remember correctly.
When you wake up at 4:00 in the morning with an old injury pain, and are in a bad mood until you come across this adorable video. And come on, cat Ellen is the most adorable thing in the universe.
Since update you can get pets inNo Mans Sky. You can tame, befriend and then harvest your pets for meat. Just like real life. th-cam.com/video/G6ff68dXFsc/w-d-xo.html
No one ever talks about _Meeko_ from *_Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim_* . Sure, Meeko does what most Stray Dogs found about the region do, but his backstory is what makes it all the more significant; Meeko is a poor Stray Dog who wanders around his owner's shack (marked as _"Meeko's Shack"_ in game) until he eventually encounters the _Dovahkiin_ . Once the two meet, he will lead them back to his shack, and introduce you to his owner: A Nordic man, lying dead on his cott. A journal lying next to the cott explains that the Nord most likely perished from Rockjoint, a deadly disease that can be contracted from prolonged exposure to Wolves, Cave Bears, and Foxes. Feeling sorry for Meeko, the Dovahkiin recruits the poor pupper to be their companion, slowly turning the timid dog into a happy, loyal friend. Spoiler: The Dovahkiin still treats Meeko as poorly as any other Stray Dog in Nirn, or as any incarnation of _Dogmeat_ .
Speak for yourself friend. I treated Meeko like a king. He was more useful than any other follower I had. Unlike most humans (such as Lydia) who would get stuck if I decided to parkour over mountains or take "short-cuts", Meeko would always be either right behind me or catch up in a few moments. I never once lost him, despite losing human followers countless times. Plus he's a hell of a lot more reliable in combat, at least he was for me. So yeah, he was always treated well, and I usually put more effort into keeping him alive than my two-legged companions (though he needed it less often than they did too). Wish I could have made him immortal on console, but at least in my PC version I can set him to be unkillable. Cause he is a great doggo (okay, not as great as Dogmeat, but an acceptable second).
Actually the fact that the shack is named "Meeko's Shack" makes things very sinister, especially given that the Nord in it is lying dead of an easily preventable illness (seriously, he could just go to literally any shrine or healer). My theory is that Meeko terrorised the poor man and prevented him from leaving until he died, and that if you stick around Meeko long enough he will eventually turn on you as well… As a companion though Meeko is terrible; he breaks stealth, inflicts very little damage, can't take very much in return, is very easily killed by accident as a result, and his hitbox makes hitting him basically inevitable. I would argue that in this case the Dovakhiin doesn't deserve Meeko because nobody deserves that inflicted upon them 😏
What about Barbas? He was a loyal, snarky, talking DOG!!! I refused to complete the Daedra's Best Friend Quest because he was too awesome, and couldn't be killed by enemies.
My Skyrim army: Barbas (don't finish the quest), Brother Verulus (don't finish Taste of Death), the hound that you purchase at the Markarth stables, choice of follower. They will take down a dragon for you.
It's always the dogs... When playing Dragon Age Origins, i usually play mage, have friendly fire on, and have my Mabari with me on most of my journeys. Cue my first big fight (and all the ones coming up later), and i REALLY need my fireball to hit that group... I know my dog is in there, fighting all the things i want to kill, but i STILL hurl that searing hot ball of plasma into the middle of the frey, scorching everything, including my dog, who still loves me after the fight...
The dog/cat in Stardew Valley, heck, the horse too. The horse for making everything quicker, and the dog/cat for looking really cute on your farm and just being cute in general
I had a dog just as loyal as Dogmeat from my late teens up until last year. R.I.P., Ranger. You were the best Chocolate Lab a guy could have. No wonder I named my Mabari in Dragon Age 1 and 2 after you. :*(
Any horse in Red dead redemption. Especially online, where players would shoot your horses' brains out only for it to be stolen away from the pearly gates to return to you in about two minutes; and then the cycle continues.
Dog from Dragon Age Origins! Not only is he an amazing companion in fights, but also it is extremely amusing to watch him make friends with your other followers.
@@AlyLARockstar you named him Barkspawn? That’s hilarious! I named mine Da’fen, which means ‘Little Wolf’ in Elvhen, but if I ever play as a shemlen, Barkspawn will be its name
i think we can all agree that Horeson Wells should be on this list. And Roach (The Witcher 3), DD (MGS:V), and Blade Wolf (MGR:R). And really you should count every single pokemon, considering what you do to them.
Not games everyone played, but I’d like to see some recognition for the pets you get in Torchlight and, particularly, Torchlight 2. In both games they don’t just act as pack mules, but will also actually go to the shop for you to sell off all the equipment you’ve inevitably picked up but won’t use. In the second you can feed your pet special fish to make them turn into other cool creatures with special abilities!
Dog was easily one of my favourite companions in Origins and made me like some of the other companions better. (Also picking him as your champion is hilarious) It's too bad we didn't get to have one in Inquisition, though the horses were fun - and saved me from dying by drowning or falling more than once.
What would the rest of the team be? Mike would be a dog - good natured and prepared to spring head-first into any situation. Luke would be a sparrow - full of energy and erratic. Andy would be an owl - wise and prepared to judge you. And Jane would be a human - because only humans are capable of such beautiful evil.
I'd think Luke would be a Great Dane, actually, all gangly and goofy and easily spooked, but one of the nicest dogs you'd meet. Andy would be a Jack Russel Terrier (just picture it), Mike would be a Dalmation (he loves cars, of course), Ellen would specifically be either an English Fold or a Munchkin cat, and Jane would be the meanest yet calmest cat you've ever had your scalp laid open by surprise by.
Meeko from skyrim! Every play through of skyrim that i do I get so excited to get him, but then I let one of my kids adopt him so he doesn't die a horrible death from my lack of sword coordination.
I think you forgot the Mabari war hound from Dragon Age Origins. You command him to bite Darkspawns and get infected from their toxic blood as a result-how rewarding!
7:10 I own four birds and am every day reminded of the strength of their beaks and that the fact that I still have fingers is entirely up to their mercy. I love them
Suggestion that just came to mind: Sparx! From the Spyros games! You would be instantly destroyed without him yet what thanks does he get? A couple lame levels and minigames!
You're right, sparks is the best. You got me thinking dragons though and I really can't go past ODAHVIING form skyrim. A frekin' dragon that will come almost instantly whenever you call, will help you fight anything, carries you to alduins lair and dlc depending can be ridden.
Optimist Prime Shadowmere can be killed in Skyrim. He's not invincible he just has really really high Regen. Get him at a low enough level and let him tank a dragon alone, he might die. He is invincible in Oblivion though.
While Shadowmere is cool, I rather Arvak the skeleton horse, summon in an instants, if he dies summon, if he is lost summon. Plus he is a skeleton undead horse from oblivion.
There is one horse in Oblivion and Skyrim that gets all our love...nothing at all to do with those red eyes that promise an eternity in the void to those that displease. o.o'
Even though it may be a lesser known game, I think Hewie from Haunting Ground definitely deserves a mention here. Especially considering the fact that you literally can't progress to the true ending of the game without him. He's also a total badass! :)
That game hits a lot of my fear nerves and I will probably never finish it. That being said, I love that dog. The only thing that makes that game not 100% scare the crap out of me.
What about Hunter pets from WoW?? You use some sort of mind control powers on them, and they will follow you ANYWHERE without giving a second though, often dying to protect you. (Same thing could be said with Warlock demons and DK ghouls too.)
that "Mind control" is called "Taming." And in the original version of the game, you had to carry their favourite foods with you (taking up valuable inventory space) so you could feed them, in order to prevent them from getting angry at you and abandoning you. You also couldn't keep more than one with you at a time.
When you said Frosties, I thought you were talking about shoving fistfuls of delicious ice-cream-like treat in your mouth, instead of equally delicious Frosted Flakes
No Dragon Age's most wonderful doggos? Especially in DA:Origins, where your mabari loots for you, finds you gifts, fights for you, gets hurt for you, and is ultimately left behind by you to the camp because you need to get those friendship stats to maximum with everyone else.
Can't believe they didn't mention the pets from Torchlight 2, who not only helped you fight giant monsters and stuff, and carried all your extra stuff, but would regularly travel to towns, alone, through monster infested hordes and somehow sell your stuff to traders and buy potions and scrolls you requested
Shadowmare technically isnt immortal he does have a max hp and can be killed for good. He isnt a essential npc so he wont revive if you do manage to damage him enough. But hes awfully close to being immortal because of high hp+regen.
Epona is the best horse ever, period. I actually named my horse Epona in BotW until I found out I could get the real Epona. The og Epona is invincible AND has maximum stats. THE best horse ever.
Nothing's invincable in a Bethesda game. I approached Shadowmere for the first time upon completing the questline, ready to ride off on my steed of darkness, went to mount him, only for him to drop through the floor & disappear forever. Never got to ride him once, & this is why you need to play Bethesda titles on PC, mod makers are their bug fixers.
I'm a DM. I needed a person that likes dogs, and I put Katherine Hayter into the game because I was thinking about Metal Gear at the same time Ellen made the comment about her surname. Thanks, OX.
isocryd no it was an ancient device built by the Archons of the Old Kingdom to manipulate all the will energy in the world Only problem was the first two people who tried to use it wished for the end of the world, the Archon succeeded by the way, which is why the old kingdom is no more
An oldie, but the pooch from The Bard's Tale (2004). He started off as a stray but The Bard took him in, and loved the dog who'd dig up treasures, flush out pheasants, and help with attacking drow and other enemies. I remember crying at this one specific point in the game. Okay, two points in the game. He's such a good dog 😢😭
Nix Teufel oh my GOD I absolutely LOVED the Bards Tale! I know exactly which points you mean and holy hell my heart just went. Definitely should have been on this list!!💙💙💙💙
Thanks Grayson, I"ll look for Meeko. I found the "Stray Dog" and he followed me home. I also just managed to keep a horse alive for more than two days, and now Lydia's gone missing. She's jealous I guess!
11:48 Strangest episode of Quantum Leap ever. Al: "Sam, Ziggy says there's a 94% chance that you're supposed to... help the princess get her mojo back so that the two of you can defeat Calamity Ganon" Sam:"Calamity Ganon?... Well okay Al, who's that?" Al: "I believe that's him. All _around_ the castle..." Sam: "Oh Boy."
Cat Ellen gave me a big smile! :D As for other loyal animals that could be abused, I'm thinking of those Lizard Doggos in Satisfactory. They got one pocket space where they can carry stuff they find out in the wilderness, and you can have them carry an enormous stack of radioactive barrels off a cliff.
Not sure if this counts but during my first play through of Digimon story cyber sleuth, I had this Machinedramon who had been with since the beginning. He had saved my bacon more times than I care to count, either delivering the final blow or tanking lethal damage. I had a legitimate crisis of conscious when I had to switch out with anyone else. Rest In Peace old friend.
Ah, Digimon, Dawn/Dusk's system was interesting since it let you take them up AND down at will. thus letting you change your team without getting new Digimon. The only real issue was how few top-tier digimon there were :/
These faithful beasts were as loyal as they come... even when we didn't reeeeally do much to deserve their devotion. Enjoy! 🐶🐱🐦🐴
Outside Xtra I love my armoured mudcrab in skyrim. Even that I don't deserve.
As a Welsh Corgi, I think you all are too hard on yourselves.
Outside Xtra Dave is not a stupid pet name
You forgot about Barkspawn, the Mabari from Dragon Age: Origins. Well, Barkspawn wasn't his official name, but let's be realistic: it's his best name. He too was able to bring you presents, fight for you, and most importantly: "He's not mangy!"
Outside Xtra Yoshi is the best 😁😀😊
The minute you put them on a dog, they're doggles.
Happy that someone said it ^_^
GET IT RIGHT PEOPLE!!
Damn I was gonna say the same thing. :P
But...but what if your doggy is actually a goggy!?
BOO!
Hey, they gave the dog my name!
"We gave him a stupid name,"
Thanks, I'll just go cry now.
The feels is reals
it's a stupid name for a dog, it's a perfectly fine name for a human
Yeah, I happen to like my name.
when they said "we gave our dog a stupid name" i was thought it was going to be something really immature. But honestly how is Dave a stupid name for a dog?
I remember when I first got Frost the horse in Skyrim, he immediately took down a dragon by himself then returned to me as happy as could be
Was that luck? How'd he manage to do it by himself?
I was your 60th like;)
In Haunting Ground, it's literally impossible to get the good ending without being nice to your dog
Good
That’s sad
Melissa Scholefield that’s perfect
*GOOD*
Good
Two words: DAO's mabari! He was practically a third member of the Grey Wardens in 5 of the 6 origins, when you have to cure him of the blight!
Ok, cat Ellen is the end of the line for me. My heart, has melted.
Bloodwing from Borderlands definitely deserved better for everything she did for us...
Znijik so true
Znijik Well Jack did give her a collar. Wasn't a very good collar though.
Shoot Jack an extra time for that
adam paton Too soon :(
Bloodwing was the best warrior in the whole franchise. Playing as Mordecai, I really grew to love her... rest in peace, you were truly the best
Thank you so much for telling me I could pet and feed senu! 😭
Eddie agreed
Too bad there isn't anything nice I can do for the Hippos I keep inducting into the brotherhood.
Eddie I’ve spent around 75 hours in the game completed the main quest and still can’t remember if it explicitly tells you if or how you can pet Senu
Does that make it an easter egg?
Or... heh... eagle egg?
...I'll show myself out.
@Genesis23OPB, fyi, in ancient times, trained raptors were always referred to as female, whether they were biologically or not :)
I was always too soft to store much of anything on Dogmeat, or let him get seriously hurt without a stimpack. I just love him too much
Yeah I don't even have him follow me. I let him live in my best civilization.
That’s nice, of both, of you.
That was before we knew he was dogmeat, god of dogs, immortal and all seeing.
It's cat Ellen...or as I call her, Ellen
A true Ellcat!
What if Ellen was actually a cat? Hmm seems familiar
Where the heck is Aggro on this list? He may not tear out testicles, but he'll go toe-to-hoof with the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus.
Agro (not Aggro) is a mare though, or a girl as the game's director put it.
YES! Agro deserves more recognition for what they do you.
Exactly that's what I thought too!
you force him to go into battle to giant monster and he kills himself near the end to save you, you bad owner
I mean, Agro clearly knows she ain’t gonna do much against the colossi, but still helps you even if it means she might die
I'm sorry, how could you possibly forget Bloodwing? He was my favorite part of Borderlands, and deserves to be remembered after what Jack did to him!
We didnt really need more reason to hate Jack but the fact he murdered bloodwing definitely helps motivate yoy
Little did Kippers know that Whinnie Driver and Dr. Hooves were compiling a list of 7 Khajits Who Were No Help At All for their new youtube channel.
Xaidan same
"Cat Ellen" is the most ADORABLE THING EVER! Just saying...
Agreed
she a got damn catgirl
Yes, cuz cats are adorable, duh.
Agreed
Saved this video for "Cat Ellen" only. Video's other contents are interesting and all but........
Horson wasnt on this list because John is *his* companion
This is Outside Xtra: They never met Horseson Wells...and I pity them so.
The way you said it made me think of Narnia and now I'm sad.
but Andy was part of this video and he knows Horsen better than anyone. Of course that also means he knows that the OP is correct - John is the companion.
Is Kippers his own companion then?
"There are no giant, irradiated scorpions in Albion"
Tell that to the Witchwood Arena from Fable 1
Cat Ellen attacking the subscribe orb made my day.
Cat Ellen is adorable!
My favorite are the animal companions in far cry primal especially the blood fang saber tooth and the black jaguar and the best part is you can pet them
What do you mean *IN* Far Cry Primal?
That *IS* Far Cry Primal.
And, different from other games, if you do not take care of your animals in Far Cry Primal, they turn on you and bite your face off, literally.
Except if you're a trophy hunter you have to kill and skin your own companion. Which made me... unusually guilty.
Bears.... i mean BEARS..
The horse from Shadow of The Colossus is pretty under appreciated, and the owl/beast from Far Cry Primal you have don’t get much love either.
I WAS JUST THINKING AGRO SHOULD BE ON THIS LIST
In farcry primal the owl is OP cause you could take out camps with the frenzy bombs
Fry cry primal the 3 animals you need to hunt to control them
Farcry 5
What about ARK where you hit them and then befriend them
I had a giant cat companion mod for Fallout 4 who broke my game so i couldn't talk with anyone, but it still broke my heart to say goodbye to him.
RIP, I'll remember you Rafe :'(
AnOrangeHellcat You gave up Rafe for Fallout 4? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU I can't belive it you gave up Rafe for "another settlement needs your help"
3:07 99.9% percent of Fable 2 players, including myself and my mom, always choose to resurrect our dog XD He's to precious. And spoiled by me XD
Thank God for the Knothole Island DLC.
I resurrect the thousands of workers, then find a reaaalllyyyy annoying or creepy NPC to follow to Knothole Island and doggo is returned.
We’re missing two very important doggies here - your dog from Dragon Age: Origins and the wolf from Resident Evil 4. I’d be dead without either of them, both inside and out.

I dunno, there's that one time where Senu was great and all, but it was your horse that saved your ass
So the hawk saves the assassin and his horse saves his donkey? Cool.
Perfection.
Cat Ellen is hands down the cutest thing I've ever seen
For real though
Seeing her try to keep a straight face is hilarious
I agree, meow.
D-Dog from Metal Gear Solid 5. Not only will he murder all of your enemies for you, but he uses a knife to do it, does a cute flip afterwards, and all after he let you dress him up in weird semi-bondage gear.
sethneville and there's an option that lets you pet him as much as you want.
A little blast from the past but do you guys remember Trico from The Last Guardian? Nguyen Huu Vinh - blast from the past? The Last Guardian came out just over a year ago.
TRICO D:
106tekfreak Consider how nobody ever mention The Last Guardian anymore, it might have come out a decade ago.
But this list is not "best animal pals", it's "animal pals we didn't deserve". The Mabari Hound from Dragon Age, the only party member that doesn't judge you for your actions, regardless of how heinous.
Frosted Flakes are called Frosties over there?
My thoughts exactly.
Indeed they are! And Corn Flakes are called Cornies
Well, that's a bit corny.
What do they call that ice cream treat at Wendy's then?
We don't have Wendy's in Britain, mostly just lots of McDonalds and Burger Kings.
Me: I WANT ALL THESE GAMES JUST SO I CAN HAVE PETS IN GAMES

i'm literally asking for the appropriate consoles just for these games, SOLELY BECAUSE *_FRICCIN EAGLE_* .

thank you for letting me know about him. Now i will rescue him as soon as possible.
Haravikk Well, Meeko can be very good in battle when you have a fork that can kill anyone with only one stab
He kept dying because I had a mod that adds more random encounters and he was killed by vampires
What about Barbas? He was a loyal, snarky, talking DOG!!! I refused to complete the Daedra's Best Friend Quest because he was too awesome, and couldn't be killed by enemies.
I used him to tank for me all the time
But he only talks per quest at other times he is just like any other dog.
My Skyrim army: Barbas (don't finish the quest), Brother Verulus (don't finish Taste of Death), the hound that you purchase at the Markarth stables, choice of follower. They will take down a dragon for you.
barbas isn't really a dog he's an elder god
same
16:26 - 17:06 Cat Ellen is the most ADORABLE THING EVER! 😊😸
I agree.
It's always the dogs...

skynet091287 stinks they took away the lovable mabri dog as a companion he had some good barks and whine comments
skynet091287 Poor Barkspawn, always standing in the way of my mages aoe attacks.
Awww cat Ellen is adorbs
Honestly, I was pretty impressed with Ellen’s cat impression at the end
Does Kippers count as an animal bestie? I realise he does stretch the definition of 'helpful'.
I'm rather fond of my Mabari Hound from "Dragon Age: Origins." He's a good dog!! :)
How about Hewie from Haunting Grounds ? He's litterally essential to Fiona and ends up getting hurt for her. He deserves an entry on that list
What about the Mabari Hound from Dragon Age: Origins (commonly named Barkspawn in fandom)?
All hail Clifford we must not displease him
I love Ellen's channel specific tops. They're well tailored and look amazing on her.
Mabari Warhound from Dragon Age. Who's a good boy, and is also covered in the blood of darkspawn
Drake Caliburn definitely!
The dog/cat in Stardew Valley, heck, the horse too. The horse for making everything quicker, and the dog/cat for looking really cute on your farm and just being cute in general
danes1802 OMG STARDEW VALLEY!!!! Such an underrated game
Joe Bergin • ikr!
Horse in Stardew valley is so handy to have. Definitly agreed for the commenter edition!
I never fed that poor doggo. But it loves me still.
Lol, cat Ellen is adorable.
That ending was precious.
Dog from Dragon Age Origins! Not only is he an amazing companion in fights, but also it is extremely amusing to watch him make friends with your other followers.
Dog from Dragon Age: Origins should be on this list.
Especially if you don't choose the noble origin, cause you save the dog from the blight and he in turn saves your ass on numerous occasions
Good ole Diabetus the wonder dog! He killed Flemeth in my first playthrough.
Barkspawn was the best boy
@@AlyLARockstar you named him Barkspawn? That’s hilarious! I named mine Da’fen, which means ‘Little Wolf’ in Elvhen, but if I ever play as a shemlen, Barkspawn will be its name
Almost every animal in Animal Crossing belongs on this list! They're all so charming and welcoming and sweet!
i think we can all agree that Horeson Wells should be on this list. And Roach (The Witcher 3), DD (MGS:V), and Blade Wolf (MGR:R).
And really you should count every single pokemon, considering what you do to them.
Im giving Senu praise right now Ellen okay? Just don't cry..
How about Dog, the Mabari hound from Dragon Age; Origins?
Dog was easily one of my favourite companions in Origins and made me like some of the other companions better. (Also picking him as your champion is hilarious)
It's too bad we didn't get to have one in Inquisition, though the horses were fun - and saved me from dying by drowning or falling more than once.
You mean Barkspawn.
Never called him that. In my games he was always "Dog". :)
I called him "StupidAlister"
Or Carver, the Mabari hound from Dragon Age 2?
Cat Ellen is the best Ellen!
Nnnnnnngggggh... my heart... too cute... heart attack...
Also human Ellen and milk penguin Ellen.
I liked this video expressly because of Cat Ellen.
Ellen: *starts crying*
Dave: Don't worry *brings into random back room*
you forgot Dog from Dragon age Origins where you can start with him or rescue him, best party member ever. Finds random kids, booze and assorted items
Meeko from skyrim! Every play through of skyrim that i do I get so excited to get him, but then I let one of my kids adopt him so he doesn't die a horrible death from my lack of sword coordination.
i dont do cheats or console comands exept for making meeko immortal
he is the goodest boy
I love the dog from The Bard's Tale. There were no words to express my joy when you met him later again
How can you forget DDog in MGSV: TPP like he literally saves your life if you stumble upon wild wolves and HE HAS AN EYE PATCH
MGSV dog for the win should of had an Honorable mention at the very least!
*stich voice* and cute and fluffy!
Why no love for DD from Metal Gear V? He could use a KNIFE for God’s sake.
Ethan Vila You mean: He could use a knife for Metal Gear's snake
PAragon Bytes Yes, thank you.
PAragon Bytes *Hideo Kojima
So can alot of video game animals
Rapede from tales of vesperia uses a knife and acts as Yuri's partner in crime
Don't forget D-horse. We made his poop his intestines out.
"Barkspawn" from Dragon Age. My favourite game dog.
Are we really not going to mention that Mario gets Yoshi to stick out his tongue by PUNCHING HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD?
Luke could call his next horse ‘Hairy Trotter’
9:49 Ammo doesn’t weigh anything in Fallout 4
16:26 I’m in love with “Cat Ellen”!
Shadowmere. That is all.
Optimist Prime Shadowmere can be killed in Skyrim. He's not invincible he just has really really high Regen. Get him at a low enough level and let him tank a dragon alone, he might die.
He is invincible in Oblivion though.
to be fair yes he can die but then you can just go back to the pool outside the sanctuary and pick him back up
While Shadowmere is cool, I rather Arvak the skeleton horse, summon in an instants, if he dies summon, if he is lost summon. Plus he is a skeleton undead horse from oblivion.
You mean Sandbag?
i killed shadowmere within an hour of getting it and could never get him back... just jump of a ledge while riding it basically that easy
*STEALS 1000 GOLD HORSE*
50 Gold bounty added to whiterun
Aidan Dixon I destroyed the shit out of that place
That's why I just steal them
I know, I'm a bad person...
Ahaha. -_-
They should call it Redrun after i was done with it honestly
Shadowmere! My favorite Grinder. Leveling attack and healing skill are so much easier.
There is one horse in Oblivion and Skyrim that gets all our love...nothing at all to do with those red eyes that promise an eternity in the void to those that displease. o.o'
Carouselkie my favorite horse in Skyrim is Arvak as ghost horse
Even though it may be a lesser known game, I think Hewie from Haunting Ground definitely deserves a mention here. Especially considering the fact that you literally can't progress to the true ending of the game without him. He's also a total badass! :)
Definitely props to good ol' Hewie.
@@krystalskye949 I remember those days. Along with carrying arrows/ammo which took up a bag space
Donkey Kong Gouls
When you said Frosties, I thought you were talking about shoving fistfuls of delicious ice-cream-like treat in your mouth, instead of equally delicious Frosted Flakes
Matthew Pallenik hell ya Wendy's
No Dragon Age's most wonderful doggos? Especially in DA:Origins, where your mabari loots for you, finds you gifts, fights for you, gets hurt for you, and is ultimately left behind by you to the camp because you need to get those friendship stats to maximum with everyone else.
Can't believe they didn't mention the pets from Torchlight 2, who not only helped you fight giant monsters and stuff, and carried all your extra stuff, but would regularly travel to towns, alone, through monster infested hordes and somehow sell your stuff to traders and buy potions and scrolls you requested
Sure, other horses are cool, but what about Shadowmare and Arvak? They're both, technically, immortal and you can't really lose either!
Shadowmare technically isnt immortal he does have a max hp and can be killed for good. He isnt a essential npc so he wont revive if you do manage to damage him enough. But hes awfully close to being immortal because of high hp+regen.
brendan mclain
Really? I didn't know that! I thought Shadowmere just went back to that pool outside the brotherhood, if he died?
Shadowmere glitched our on my game and dissappeared, he never showed up again after he walked through a dragon skeleton and dissappeared
What about your mabari hound in Dragon Age: Origins? Ö
Right?
The one true Barkspawn?
Joseph Micheal Holland They end up liking each other.. Sorta.. Tolerating maybe x’D.
Tjerra14 Are there really any other, I think not! He’s the best x’D.
I'm a DM. I needed a person that likes dogs, and I put Katherine Hayter into the game because I was thinking about Metal Gear at the same time Ellen made the comment about her surname. Thanks, OX.
Tall Ellen is back!
And so is Cat Ellen!
Thank goodness. I was finding it difficult to tell apart regular Ellen and Bearded Ellen.
I still wish we got to see Stealthy Ellen and Evil Ellen in this video
Just check tall Ellen is not a mimic
Yes can we really trust this tall Ellen? He doesn't look skinny enough... He could be a clone!
How can you *not* include the Mabari from Dragon Age: Origins/DA2!?
You *monsters!*
Cat! I love him so much! (I always named my dog Cat. For reasons.)
I didnt know it was possible to be more into Ellen. It was.
Mabari from Dragon Age! You can have full conversations with them!
"If that boy comes along he'll have to fight Darkspawn." Defensive bark. "I know he's too young that's my point."
Elvenmaleficar so true, Cole profile picture, so true
I believe you mean... Barkspawn.
Inquisition horses negate fall damage. The true heroes of the game
I loooove DA mabari. I consistently call mine either Cat, because I'm a creative genius, or Dogmeat, because of course.
I always save my dog in Fable 2, always
Wasn't the spire built by criminals anyway?
isocryd no it was an ancient device built by the Archons of the Old Kingdom to manipulate all the will energy in the world
Only problem was the first two people who tried to use it wished for the end of the world, the Archon succeeded by the way, which is why the old kingdom is no more
Kellen Woods respect, the people sacrificed to build the spire weren't forced to go to the spire, they went to the spire out of greed
I always tell myself that I had that dog since I was a child, and he's old and likely to die soon. So I don't feel AS guilty when I don't save him.
ALWAYS
An oldie, but the pooch from The Bard's Tale (2004). He started off as a stray but The Bard took him in, and loved the dog who'd dig up treasures, flush out pheasants, and help with attacking drow and other enemies.
I remember crying at this one specific point in the game. Okay, two points in the game. He's such a good dog 😢😭
Nix Teufel oh my GOD I absolutely LOVED the Bards Tale! I know exactly which points you mean and holy hell my heart just went. Definitely should have been on this list!!💙💙💙💙
WHAT?!?! Where are the skyrim housecarls? I mean, sure, they are TECHNICALLY human, buuuuuuuuut..... come on!
fuck lydia, i never liked her and i dont know the names of the other housecarls
I accidently fus ro dahed them all off a cliff... sorry...
You can have dogs in Skyrim too...
Ya there's a dog named meeko you can find in a shake near solitude he's really cute ^-^. but he has a very tragic backstory Rip meekos former owner.
Thanks Grayson, I"ll look for Meeko. I found the "Stray Dog" and he followed me home. I also just managed to keep a horse alive for more than two days, and now Lydia's gone missing. She's jealous I guess!
Ellen's teenager "WHAT" was too beautiful for this world
I died from laughter at the end xD props to cat Ellen for not cracking up mid acting
11:48 Strangest episode of Quantum Leap ever.
Al: "Sam, Ziggy says there's a 94% chance that you're supposed to... help the princess get her mojo back so that the two of you can defeat Calamity Ganon"
Sam:"Calamity Ganon?... Well okay Al, who's that?"
Al: "I believe that's him. All _around_ the castle..."
Sam: "Oh Boy."
GhengisJohn And there I was, thinking I am the only one who still remembers QL. 😊
What about the Marbari in Dragon Age 1? It was fiercely loyal and really cute for a giant murder beast!
Cat Ellen gave me a big smile! :D
As for other loyal animals that could be abused, I'm thinking of those Lizard Doggos in Satisfactory. They got one pocket space where they can carry stuff they find out in the wilderness, and you can have them carry an enormous stack of radioactive barrels off a cliff.
No moose from Neir Automata? A tragedy has occurred today.
Those aren't really pets, more like wild animals you can annoy by riding them.
The only real issue was how few top-tier digimon there were :/
Cat-Ellen is the adorableness I didn't know I needed today. Thank you for that!
WHAT ABOUT DRAGON AGE ORIGIN?
I named my Mabari Cailan.
I named mine Bubo - as in Bubonic plague (cuz he survived in the blight)
