Decades later, the Crumbling Castle theme from Ape Escape 1 still lived rent free in my head and likes to smash it’s way into the moment whenever it damn well pleases.
Great... I THOUGHT none of these songs affected me (not even the Tetris one) but THIS. This right here. I started singing it out loud and now I'm lost. So, thanks for that I guess.
You know that subliminal messaging theory about communism and the Tetris song? Jane's adapted it to prepare us for her ascension. "Tet-ris song" is going to consume me too.
that must be horrible.. and sometimes funny... I personally only have it stuck in my head when neatly arranging things, luggage in a car for example, and in the first two loops it actually helps me focus... afterwards it drives me mad...

The whistle theme from Deadly Premonition is sooooooo this. It's so annoyingly catchy even my parents have picked it up, and they've barely even seen the game!
This video has conditioned me well. I started watching and immediately had the desire to play Tetris. And then Jane’s choice came up and it all made sense
I would love to know more about Luke’s headspace during the filming of this video, he seems almost delirious at a few points during this! His “hi friends” at the start of the Magikarp section has me in stitches though.
The weirdest game music stuck in my head are probably: 1. Final Nitro from Top Gear (SNES) - even done in an amazing (ocremix) remix with genuine race sounds added. That's the kind of music racing games need. Upbeat, fast paced electronic 16-bit Nintendo sounds. 2. Fire Emblem (the main music which stretches over the whole series) - i even went overboard with this one: Played it on a flute, written down the melody in musical notes and then converted it manually into an RTTTL ringtone for a phone at my desk at work. 3. Fire Emblem Three Houses Main Title in English (Reach for my hand, i'll soar away...) or Japanese (which i don't even understand) - the song with lyrics that make less sense that a Magikarp does damage with splash. I even listened to them on my way to work and back - one at a time on infinite loop for the whole hour of driving. Never stray from your path, psychopath.
What about Resetti’s theme from Animal Crossing? I remember having to hear that SO many times as a kid because I had to share my copy of Animal Crossing Wild World with my little brother who pretty much never saved the game before turning it off, and once he’d done it enough times to render his own character unplayable, he started using mine, and did the same thing. Eventually my mom got rid of the game and it took years before she let us get it again (this time we got two copies)
@@weneedaladder8384 no, but it seems like the lectures get longer and longer the more times you do it, and seems to be no maximum cap for how long it can get. Especially when you take into account that this was back when my brother was just learning to read, so every time Resetti told him to type something, he’d fail at it repeatedly (I also remember failing it myself several times, though I don’t remember if I ever figured out why, maybe I used the wrong punctuation, or maybe it was just broken from my brother failing it so many times)
Jane got the Tetris lyrics wrong. I thought everyone knew they went "I am the man who arranges the blocks/that descend upon me from up above/They come down and I spin them around/'til they fit in the ground like hand in glove"
Nah, I like Brentalfloss's version better: "Four colored blocks in the shape of a T or a box come down like falling bricks. "You can place them in rows, but everybody knows that they made this game for chicks."
Has Jane heard the best version of Tetris' A Theme with lyrics, "Complete History Of The Soviet Union, Arranged To The Melody Of Tetris" by PigWithTheFaceOfABoy?
The menu music for Lollipop Chainsaw was the “Lollipop” song by the Chordettes, which was cool for about a minute, but I had to eventually mute my game every time I paused to stop from going insane.
Cinco de Chocobo? Personally, I like it. It's the chocobo theme ala 'Take Five' by Dave Brubeck. I kinda got annoyed with it too til I listened to the song it's riffing off of. Check it out

12:23 It's actually really common for conductors to slow down the ending of a phrase when you approach a cadence. Either a conductor can take the initiative, or the composer can write in where they want the music to slow down (rallentando) or speed up (accelerando)
I surprised that the Phoenix Wright pick for this wasn't the Blue Badger theme. A good friend of mine has that song permanently tattooed on their soul because they kept mis-clicking the one pixel big solution to the puzzle on the screen that loops it.

"I KNOW A SONG THAT WILL GET ON YOUR NERVES, GET ON YOUR NERVES, GET ON YOUR NERVES!" 🤣
While Ellen goes FULL LONDON/OVERCOOKED mode on Luke giving him dagger eyes.😁😱
I bet he did that.
And Jane smacked him with a pan.... Maybe I should stop smacking things with a pan when playing l4d2
Decades later, the Crumbling Castle theme from Ape Escape 1 still lived rent free in my head and likes to smash it’s way into the moment whenever it damn well pleases.
The animal village theme, I lost it when he first started talking about 😂😹
Jane is like The Master but instead of the drum of the universe in her head it's the Tetris A theme.
wow, I just have a scene in my head now of Jane all up in David Tennant's face going da da da da da TETRIS SONG! ahaha amazing
of all the places I thought I would see a Doctor Who referrence this isnt one of them. XD
I love this kinds of lists, when everyone choses what should go into the list and then explains it to us ❤
I would like to say this video has been out for over 2 and a half years and Jane's tetris song has been stuck in my head.
The Silent Hill 2 UFO ending (Dog Ending), with the barking song. I get that stuck in my head a lot. Now, in fact, since I mentioned it. Crap.
Good lord... I've never played the game but I've heard it and now it's stuck in my head!
Damn that song was terrible.
I can reply, Andy. You just can't hear me.
As far as you know...
18:55 "I am the man who arranges the blocks..."
That continue to fall from up above
Scrolled for this.
Can I have a long one please? Why must these infernal blocks tease?
Great... I THOUGHT none of these songs affected me (not even the Tetris one) but THIS. This right here. I started singing it out loud and now I'm lost. So, thanks for that I guess.
@@Draedaja Happy to spread the infection. :)
"Tet-ris song" has changed my life, Jane, thanks. NOT!
You know that subliminal messaging theory about communism and the Tetris song? Jane's adapted it to prepare us for her ascension. "Tet-ris song" is going to consume me too.

Jesus, that face belongs in a horror movie.
That would be a good horror movie.
"A chap called Dio..."
"IT WAS ME, DIO!!!"
WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Tetris is one of my absolute favorite themes! The "Skellige" theme from The Witcher 3 and one of the regional themes in FFXV are my others
Wanderlust or Valse di Fantastica?
The worst part of the Tetris song is that being Russian I KNOW THE ACTUAL LYRICS...))
I love Russian music. The Tetris 99 theme reminded me of some of the weird music from the Soviet Union in the 80s and 90s.
What are they
On this case if you know then get lost
that must be horrible..
and sometimes funny...
I personally only have it stuck in my head when neatly arranging things, luggage in a car for example, and in the first two loops it actually helps me focus... afterwards it drives me mad...
TELL ME
To be fair, "Oh God, just end it!" is usually how my dates end.
Kaepora Goebora’s theme always made me feel as if the owl was judging me, like I was a stupid boy who doth dare save Hyrule..
True. And it makes me think of Harry Potter strangely on the theme idk y.
To this day when I'm sitting and thinking about something that music still floats into my head
I do hope they are going to do these kinds of lists again, where they have a conversation about the subject with each other.
"This is the song that never ends.
It goes on and on my friends.
People, started singing it not knowing what it was
and they'll continue singing it forever just because-
This is the song that never ends..."
YOU! MONSTER!
My name is Yon Yonson, I come from Wisconsin
I work in the lumber-mill there
All the people I meet when I walk down the street
Say "His name is Yon Yonson, he comes from Wisconsin . . ."
Ah, yes. Many a long bus ride was warped through to the completely hypnotized state that song drops me into.
I am ‘Enry the Eighth I am!...
So sinister.
The whistle theme from Deadly Premonition is sooooooo this. It's so annoyingly catchy even my parents have picked it up, and they've barely even seen the game!
Ya Bruce from Funhaus made it tolerable.
By the way: did you know there's a K.K. Slider cover version?
th-cam.com/video/2cICKPQzh0c/w-d-xo.html
Why is it always so that games with great music always have one "black sheep"?
Oh god yes, this. My wife and I will randomly start whistling that song around the house just to get on the other one's nerves.
I never played it but i watched eurogamer play it in a lttp ep over 2 years ago and its still stuck in my head
Jane adding lyrics to instrumental music never gets old.
I still sing “Imma dinosaur” over and over to the Jurassic Park theme thanks to her.
Please point out to me which video in which she does this
For scientific purposes
I think around 7:40 on the Lego Jurassic Park gameplay video.
th-cam.com/video/iI6XqAzA2M4/w-d-xo.html
Look for the 'Straight No Chaser' movie medley.
"There are dinosaurs
In Jurassic Park
OH NO
They just escaped."
Runs through my head all the time.
This video has conditioned me well. I started watching and immediately had the desire to play Tetris. And then Jane’s choice came up and it all made sense
"You're not hooting anymore" 13:10
Underrated
I would love to know more about Luke’s headspace during the filming of this video, he seems almost delirious at a few points during this! His “hi friends” at the start of the Magikarp section has me in stitches though.
I'm going to need a gif of Luke's wide-eyed head wobble.
I'm on it, I thought the same xD

The weirdest game music stuck in my head are probably:
Jane talking about being buried to the Tetris theme reminds me.
When they buried the guy who invented Tetris, the whole cemetery disappeared.
Where's the "You Are Dead" song? I only heard that song from your team and it's repeating itself since forever whenever I died in a game.
4:50 - 4:53 I can imagine Luke being a bird in a nature documentary doing a mating call
I love that thought
What about Resetti’s theme from Animal Crossing? I remember having to hear that SO many times as a kid because I had to share my copy of Animal Crossing Wild World with my little brother who pretty much never saved the game before turning it off, and once he’d done it enough times to render his own character unplayable, he started using mine, and did the same thing. Eventually my mom got rid of the game and it took years before she let us get it again (this time we got two copies)
I feel bad for you
Uh, Resetti kills you if you reset too often?
Nah, I like Brentalfloss's version better:
"Four colored blocks in the shape of a T or a box come down like falling bricks.
"You can place them in rows, but everybody knows that they made this game for chicks."
I read that in the sound of Alice in chains " man in the box"
I remember that video!
Well now I have to memorize this. I have oxbox homework.
You b-
I READ THAT WITH THE FLIPPIN TUNE!
Has Jane heard the best version of Tetris' A Theme with lyrics, "Complete History Of The Soviet Union, Arranged To The Melody Of Tetris" by PigWithTheFaceOfABoy?
DarkTau freaking awesome video
When she mentioned the way your brain adds lyrics I immediately thought of that video.
"I am the man who builds all the blocks..."

Why specifically 7's? It's the same song just with different pacing and extra instruments as the numbers go up

It's actually really common for conductors to slow down the ending of a phrase when you approach a cadence.
