What are you even talking about, nothing's wrong with these controllers, If you've taken apart electronics for once in your life, you'd find this process to be pretty easy, only the plastic parts are a bit annoying, otherwise it's pretty simple stuff.

Little component on the board where the wire connects to the other board broke off really easy, tried tugging hard on the other one to replicate and it stayed on. These companies cheap out on solder, use the least amount of solder as possible to save money and as soon as years go by they degrade and become weak. Ah well can't complain, had the controller for more than 2 years now with heavy use. Great tutorial by the way, straight to the point and clear

Great video. Just one note, peeling back the sticker can be done with a plastic pry tool. Keep the tool flat, and push back the sticker slightly to lift the corner. Put the tool under the lifted corner, and pinch it against your thumb, etc. Pull it back just enough to reveal the screw.
Everything went back together great, and no real sign of opening the unit. Only a tiny bit of sticker was harmed. I doubt anyone would notice.
    Cheers!

This really helped. I just needed to see how to pull it apart to the bumpers. I’m sure the rest of the video was great. I had “mush trigger” on my right bumper and I assumed because of occasional dropping along with having strong fingers, the small prong (that Xbox continues to use) snapped off into the controller. It wasn’t fun playing for honor and all of a sudden I couldn’t do light attacks. I took it apart, crazy glued the piece back on, and wrapped both prongs with a small cut piece of electric tape to strengthen them and it all works, you saved me a controller.

Thanks so much for the amazing video! My kid spilled syrup all over the controller and this vid helped me save having to buy a whole new controller. Just bought a T8 security screwdriver and followed the video and cleaned it out. Put it back together and it works great! Thanks again!

Helpful video, thank you! Our dog knocked over a coke and a big drip of it went behind the B button, worked okay but very sticky and would occasionally stick down mid game. This tear down got me into it, got it cleaned and returned to working order in about 20 mins. Not bad for a first attempt I think!

Thanks for the video. I just needed to see someone pop off the cover under the right trigger before I attempt to myself without breaking it lol. Apparently quite a few people have the sticky RT issue. That little black strip of padding tends to slip over the edge it sits on which then leaves a layer of adhesive causing the RT to stick. I took it out completely and now it feels more retro with the hard clicking noises.
