I agree, ProSelect adbv is nitrile rubber. Burn test would prove it but I have little doubt. Only one exception to black adbv being nitrile and that being Toyota Thai Denso OEM. Doubtful M&H going to use silicone on the jobber/economy level ProSelect.
A video comparing multiple filters not manufactured for the same vehicle is useless. NAPA filters used to all be manufactured by WIX. Now Mann & Hummel is changing the WIX and Purolator filters depending on the specs. And Fram is changing their materials and specs, and even contracting out to Champ filters. There are only half a dozen filter manufacturers making all the filters under contract, and filters with the same part number have been cheapened considerably over the last few years. Quality control has gone to hell since COVID-19, and the auto makers are focused entirely on electric vehicles. As a filter reviewer, you should know all that, and acknowledge it.
I disagree with your first statement, I think that the comparison was done well, the Proselect and Gold from the same vehicle engine type and the Platinum from another type. The Platinum is still going to be made to however they make the specs for the Platinum. I don't see why or matters that it was from another engine type, the construction would be the same. They are all sold under the Napa name and that is what Bill showed. Your reasoning has failed to make sense, good day to you sir.
Good comparison Bill, still like that Platinum though.
Yeah those platinum are made well.
Great video Bill, i get what you showed us in the video.👍
Thanks Ted, I try my best.
Are these all for the same car ? Nice side by side comparison
The ProSelect and Gold are from same Car but the platinum is from random truck engine.
Hi Bill.Great video.
However i am of the opinion that the anti drain back valve on the proselect is nitrile rubber.

Thanks Luke I believe your right.
Yeah Nitrile Rubber makes sense. Thanks Faxmen.
