If you have it in earth mode, it's FWD, but if you change it to Fun or Hyper mode, it's supposed to be AWD. I say this, because I saw you guys had it in earth mode.

I always thought if it was a safety issue that it would be fixed for free but I guess not since the company went bankrupt so the shops can't get the money from the manufacture anymore.

After your last video I went shopping here in California $23-$27 thousand mostly from dealers.
With Fisker going under I assume their OTA update service is dead. Would be interesting to see if someone could buy the rights/server IPs to turn it back on & distribute the update to all fisker owners. Even temporarily.

At this point the best plan of action would be to harvest the drivetrain and swap into an 80s SUV or even a cool car conversion like the 1980 Dodge Daytona. In the 90s there was a car in OR called dragzilla ( before PC policing ) that was just a pile of batteries in the back seat and trunk with one giant motor mounted to the rear diff. I think it was a Z car. The gas pedal was just on/off. When the go pedal was hit the car jumped right to a wheely for the entire 1/4mile. There are lots of inexpensive ev controller companies out there now. Maybe you could swap the motor from this into that Chinese "truck" that you showed before. It might then be able to reach the speed limit.
I haven't watched Rich for a while he just popped into my feed because I was a lot of auto stuff. I watched Rich for the commentary, 1st thee words I'm not flexing. . Ok let's go.
honestly id get the latest update, asap. I would love to be the beta tester to be the one reporting the issues or lack there of. I dont mind being on the bleeding edge with software, generally its worked in my favor every time.
I say wait for some crazy folks on the forums or in a modding group to crack the FAST licencing then do it yourself.
Obviously these aren't Fisker dealers, so are they used car dealers? EV specialist independent shops? Is there a process where you could "officially" get the tools to offer 2.2 and the recalls at Electrified Garage?
Fisker could have hired a CEO and the company would have been saved. He mixed love with business and neglected his customers for the second time.
If I were enjoying the car as is, I'd wait a bit and gather more info on the rate of success with update attempts. Especially as that one FOA center mentioned, if you're having extra problems the updates weren't meant to address.
Try to get it fixed by having someone come out to you. No need to risk the road trip. And if it bricks, you said you could part it out in the last vid and make more than what you paid. 🤷🏽♂️
Push the development of the SDK's from Fisker so owners can do the updates themselves.
Will a cascadia controller not run the motors on a fisker? I thought they were fairly simple 3 phase motors that didn't handshake?
EV swap it to a Tesla. Get the best of both worlds - reliability of a Tesla, look and feel of a Fisker (since you don’t like the looks of the Y)

They need to open source their software so if people want to be able to extend the life of their vehicle without relying on Fisker they are able to.
get all fixed first then update. but sounds like you have to stair step the updates.
Worse case I would just salvage the battery and use it as a back up house battery.
