Subscribed. I have a 94 Dodge Dakota v6 3.9. Mine starts and runs but at times it will stall when placed in drive or reverse. Already replace the Crank Shaft sensor. Next step will be the throttle body gasket replacement in case air is getting in. This one has been a hard diagnoses since there are no codes coming up. Any suggestions? God bless.

thanks for the Sub I appreciate that very much, if you use live data to monitor the engine, tranny n all signal to the pcm with a very good scanner when the truck is stalling most likely you will see what component is failing. always live data especally in these cases.

Working on a 1995 Ram 1500 with 5.9- Crank/No Start situation, back probing TPS I'm seeing voltage on signal, reference AND ground... PCM Not sending signal to CPS, Cam, etc... So I end up figuring out that the black and light blue wire at the PCM, black plug (far right side plug) is the ground for the sensors, I back probed it and realized it is receiving voltage... I was originally thinking the PCM was bad... I ran a ground to the back probe to see if it would show a ground signal on my voltmeter and sure enough, it did... No voltage being shown now- so I tried to start it up... Fired right up... Hopefully this helps someone... Check pins on the PCM for 12v, and for the 5v reference, and for ground- Orange wire, black and light blue wire, black and tan wires are the PCM ground... Also check TPS and see if it's showing 5v signal, 5v reference and anything on the ground... When I ground the black light blue wire at PCM, the ground on TPS stopped showing voltage...

Dude the ign rotor ? Did U replace it, those R more common for failing than the cap. BTW it is so much easier to put the wires on the new cap on a bench & put it in all together, I have done 1000's in my career like that.

hi, no I did not replace it because the diagnosis guided me and when I saw the cap I relized that was the problem but you are absolutely right this less common but in this case this is what the problem was. I appreciate your time on the channel thanks you so much.

You have to connect both ends of that spark tester, it's a "in-line" tester, if one end isn't plugged in you won't get any spark 🙄🤔🤦‍♂️

what a coincidence it has been about 2 years since I did this job n going back to this truck tomorrow, the Owner says it is doing either the same or some thing similar cranking but it wont start, I'll see what happens tomorrow.

only way should be taking off every thing in the front to make the space in order to have a better access.
