Hi …. Really late to the party … I have just bought an R400, and now I’m worrying about noise restrictions on track days …. I’ve bought a baffle device, but still not sure …. What exhaust do you run to beat the noise restrictions ?
You’ll be fine at most circuits if it’s a standard R400. Mine is tuned, which makes it a bit louder. The only time I’ve had an issue was on a low noise day at Brands, and even then a baffle device stuck in the end of the exhaust sorted it 👍
@@WhiteRoseDrives thanks for the response …. Mine is standard so hopefully from what you say will be fine … just out of interest, what tune have you done …. Is it Throttle bodies, or something more ….. I must admit, it feels good as standard, but we all like a bit more hp !!
@user-sk2pq2uq7t You’ll be absolutely fine then, yes! I never had any noise issues before my tune. It’s a Premier Power 225 upgrade - but they don’t exist any more, sadly. You could do much the same with ITBs and a map anyway. If I’m candid, I wouldn’t bother. The R400 is nippy enough. The one (well two) upgrades I would do though is the ultra lightweight flywheel (even lighter than the lightened flywheel it already has) and competition clutch. The ULWF makes the engine spin up and down so fast it’s incredible! Heel n toe downshifts are a delight 😍 and the comp clutch is like an on/off switch 😂 High speed gear changes are almost like a DCT. Incredible.
@@WhiteRoseDrives great advice … really appreciate it …… think you are right with the tune…. It’s a pretty rapid beast at 210hp …….. like the flywheel idea though … adds so much….. so off to the track for me in June, and see how it all goes ……
Hello Rubbish! 👋 I’m using Avon ZZS now. Seem to be very good. Also had the car flat-floored before Cadwell and it feels so much better with the geometry set up.

Nice drive, what tyres do you use. I have a tiger avon and in the wet at cadwell we just go sideways

That looks epic!
It was much fun 😄 This little thing is like a rabid beast!
