The engine is very fast and it’s the best the kart has ever handled for me. My driving style has always been smooth but I’m having to be slightly more aggressive in this which is hard for me. Thank you for the comment 😁
They overtook to start then you were blasting past them! You got past loads on that left hand at the end of the start straight very impressive driving and a bloody good watch 👍
Fantastic video, Exciting, to watch, beautiful race track, excellent driving and a set up that had me disappointed to begin with, and well impressed, with a mouthful of crow pie as soon as there was overtaking room! Thanks. PS. The ‘Thanks wave’ around 17:40 point made it for me. I tip my hat to you Sir.
I was thinking the same, a nice tall gear certainly helped down the longer straights. I was also wondering if it was the tall gearing that also made the start a bit sluggish. definitely better that way, it's more fun catching and overtaking people 😁
They have been clocked in Europe at 175 MPH but most here in the States are about 150 . I raced for 15 years with Woodbridge Kart Club & WKA all on Road Racing tracks . I raced what are called Laydown Karts or Enduro Karts which they don't race in Europe but we have many classes & the 125s & 250s along with what we call B Stocks which have two 100cc engines which in the 70s were 135s & twin clutches are the fastest . Lots of great vids should you want to see the Karting worlds fastest Karts here & in Europe. Here is a link that will show you you may be missing. I had to find one vid that was not long as the races are 45 minutes but you can look at them if you lie what you see here & this class will do about 120 MPH down the strait . Best kept secret in Motorsports if you ask me . Summit Point is 2,1 Miles & 10 turns , Kart record is 1:11 Track record is 1'03 by a Formula Atlantic car from SCCA.
I liked the overtake of #8 , clean decisive and then the hammer down for some "Verstappen" corners , ie full committment, then cleverly down the left of a slower kart offering the very slow out line from the next bend for any potential repass. Very impressive 🎉
@jacktritton I know GT7 has a little bit, but it's not as fun unless you can toss a banana on the track. It's only recently that we got a better IOM game. A lot of PS2s are finally getting retired since the last decent one was about two decades ago.
Holy shit that karts top end is WICK !! It surprised how so many karts overtook you at the start but man did your kart flap them on the straights 🚗 💨 💨 😂
That was awesome!! Great lines!! It seemed to me you carried better momentum through your turns! My cousin is Kelvin Burt!! Hes an old guy now but had a pretty good career though! Great job!!!
Dude got smoked on the start however once the tires came up to temperature he worked his way through the field at a wickedly fast pace. Ballsy driving!
Great stuff you must have different gearing to the rest of the field ? , they all passed you on acceleration but then you picked them all off with your top end speed
I do normally run a smaller gearing set up as I’ve always liked to have more top end speed to help with overtakes and I try and hope I’m quicker through the corners to help me stay with them
Hey mate I've been watching some of your videos from when you raced Senior Max at Red Lodge when the Pre Evo was still about and it's made me wonder what sort of gearing you were running?
I had a clutch issue so I couldn’t clear the engine so when I went to start, the engine had too much oil and fuel in it and it wouldn’t go until it’s cleared. If I got a good start, I could have battled for the win 😁
Going into the downhill right kink when you’re downshift on your entrance it was the track that ruff or were you just chattering the rear end it jumped from normal 1-2g’s to 3 to 6 g’s was it because it’s hard it was hard to match downshift RPM with slowing the cart down ? 130 mph plus is cooking .. in my sprint chassis 125 Honda shifter on the longest track I run on my mycron I barely touch 103mph . The normal sprint tracks with 700’ to 900’ long straights we run 79-85 mph . Though my corner g load is 2.5 G’s on on track with a banked right hand after the straight it’ll touch 3 G’s
It’s how bumpy the track is. In one of these karts, if I was chattering the back because of downshifts, I would definitely have some engines parts come and say hello 🤣
We have a very good engine builder which is Harvey Motorsport but we also run a different gearing to help with top end speed in the slipstream. Also our kart has good aerodynamics which help
@@jacktritton nice mate that’s fast as I ride bike or use to a lot so can tell with the speed and nice work would love to see one day my mate yrs ago had a rotax 125in one just one drive and omg that was fast
Seems super scary overtaking when no one has mirrors. I see the slow people hear you and move. What about overtaking fast people who fight for the line?

I'll start off with what dI idn't think I would be saying... Your lines and race IQ is REALLY good!!! I ALMOST stopped watching after the start when you were getting gapped / ghosted... (First thought was - did someone fk with his gears prior to the race? Or is this just one of those types that want to be on track - to be on a track / circuit.. Those without the imental metal to ever see a medal / trophy, not to mention championships). I don't know any of you guys and haven't raced shifters or watercraft in almost 20 years now, so I'm not up to "speed" at all, but I do have the the hardware from my days and my passion for racing will NEVER DIE.. However, fk coffee! I'm going to watch this at least a time or two again! The way you reeled ALL of them back in almost would be mean if you weren't actually having an issue during the start... Chasing others down though can be fun.. And passing the moving speed bumps as well.. Thanks for sharing.. Definitely subscribing.. Love the telemetry overlays and the track map you all have now. Is there any way to display G's under just 1, 2 or 3? Into percentages ala.. .07.. Or .7? I would LOVE to see you your transponder / track data on lap times.. P.S. I see your last name is Tritton.. Any chance your family produced performance watercraft cylinder heads and other parts?
Thank you for your comment. I had a clutch issue which meant I couldn’t clear the engine of the extra fuel and oil at the start. But it is only my second season racing this kart so all stuff I’m learning. I love this track and racing and my drive to be the best is what keeps me going. I’m not sure how I can get my laptimes on here as this is all from the go pro.
If a kart could turn as quickly as an F1 it would be interesting to see the G’s it could pull. But the speed of an F1 car through corners is nuts and that much be a different experience with all the G’s
Clearly you have a quick and well set up kart but its your smooth driving that impresses, good drive.
The engine is very fast and it’s the best the kart has ever handled for me. My driving style has always been smooth but I’m having to be slightly more aggressive in this which is hard for me. Thank you for the comment 😁
The BEST way to watch a race!!!!!!!
Even better if you are driving 😉
This is what a driver that’s completely confident in their kart’s superior performance looks like. Can tell wasn’t stressed even a little. Nice drive
Thank you, I loved how the kart was handling and had so much confidence in it 😁
Your entire package is just singing, well done!

Nice drive, no joke, 130+ mph with your arse 6" above the tarmac, serious respect for that

Insane top end and great recovery , well done

It’s all about trusting each other. The karts are so fast and expensive that we trust the other people to concede the corner if we are overtaking.
I used to find that you could hear other karts around you surprisingly well. That's how I knew how close/which side they were on.
