Barry explains in an interview, not that old, but Barry is now grey, how he hit those high notes, he was so funny about it. He’s the only one of the 4 boys in the family still alive. A beautiful happy and sad interview on TH-cam.

61 and we did have REAL music, vocals, talent.❤
63 and this came out my senior year of high school. I had the 77' black trans am with the gold screaming chicken on the hood and T-tops, as a graduation present. Think same car as Smokey and the Bandit. We had great music from my birth through college. I feel sorry for the later generations. Parents couldn't reach or tract us on cell phones and fabulous music. After the 1980s the great groups were aging but still touring for our generation. Thinks Rolling Stones, CCR, The Eagles, Lynard Skynyrd, Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Rightous Brothers, so many others. We could listen to a different group all night and have incredible music with each group.

there's real music around now too. There are still some very talented, great songwriters. The problem is finding them through all the ballast. A million or more people are making music these days.

I’m 70 also. The best concert I ever experienced. I saw them live in Vancouver, BC in 1979 for their Spirits having Flown Tour. The energy in that stadium was beyond electric. What an era. It was alive complete with melodies and songs that are timeless with voices beyond compare.
This is what good music is, Leaves you feeling happy and smiling, the last few decades has been filled with a lot of angry, nasty music, we need to get back to this!
Proceeds from this song went to charity. UNICEF was that charity and they are still getting checks today. Thank you Barry, Maurice and Robin.

You'll never hear music like this today, this is a beautiful ballad, and you'll have to back to the 60's 70's and 80's to hear good music, I was in my mid-twenties when this came out, it gave me goose bumps back then and it still does today.

Robin is the twin in the white shirt and Maurice (pronounced Morris) is the other twin! RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶

The Bee Gees really blew up in the seventies after the movie Saturday Night Fever came out which the Bee Gees provided a lot of music for that soundtrack. Yes indeed that is their natural voices no auto-tune or anything back then. They remained to this day to be one of the best groups that harmonize well together. They originate from England. They were once considered little hoodlums and asked to leave the country. Please look it up. You will find their lives sooo interesting!! 😃

Not realising how great it really is. Now. Looking back, it's so amazing, and the effect it has had on the music that we have now is Huge. And I don't think we can underestimate it. I do hope more and more artists circle back to this time and draw from it. The best of it so that they themselves can learn how to really perform and really sing. For probably the last 10 years I've been telling anyone that would listen that if everybody would just spend 20-30 minutes a day listening to these guys, the world would be a much better/nicer place. Most often I get a blank stare in response because they have no clue what I'm even talking about or why.
