Graham Norton's show is perfect. He doesn't take centre stage. He lets the guests talk. It makes a refreshing change! His bit he did on 'bad menu translation' is hysterical.
Graham Norton is my favorite talk show host ever because he's very skilled at letting his guests take center stage but also at directing the conversation in funny directions and keeping it flowing without being intrusive at all. I don't think I've seen any other host that does that so well. Plus, the guests are drinking during the show and the UK's censorship laws are different, so they get a little drunk and their inhibitions drop and they're allowed to say stuff they'd never be able to say in American TV.
Graham has been interviewed by Steven Colbert, possibly a Jimmy as well. They're all very, very envious of the stars he gets on and how relaxed everyone is. And the fact that they're all drinking alcohol (if they want to!). All the guests come on at the same time and chat amongst themselves, as well as with Graham. It's probably the best celeb chat show ever.
My husband has been dead for almost 11 years now. I remember he used to love to watch Graham Norton, but I never gave the show a chance. After my husband died I started to watch it, and I have never laughed at a talk show so hard in my life! It's a great way to remember my husband and a great way to make me laugh when I'm sad.

Seth MacFarlane said after being presented on this show "This is the most welcome I've ever felt enywhere". Graham is one of the most genius hosts who makes the audience and the guests entertained.
The secret to Graham's show is the research his team does. He mines for each of these stories and finds similarities between them to make the show run seamlessly and effortlessly. And yes, he guides them perfectly but gives them center stage.

Graham Norton does have what they call a chat (talk) show in Britain. Graham is from Ireland but what makes it a great talk show especially for American guests is the increased freedom of speech. You actually think Ireland is part of Great Britain. Northern Ireland which is located on the island of Ireland is part of Great Britain but the Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪 is it's own sovereign nation and has as much to do with Great Britain as Canada does to the USA.
@@redrb26dett How can you not see his point? Graham Norton has a show in Britain (short for Great Britain). It is not filmed in Ireland. He was born in Ireland in a town south of Dublin. The passport issued to a person born in Ireland has not made mention of "British" since 1937. The rest of his comment regarding American guests was also valid.
Nice one Jayvee! US tv hosts interrupt their guests constantly, so it is difficult to get any value out of interviews. Different style in the UK. Graham (pronounced Graym) is Irish and has a fine appreciation of a good yarn.
Graham started out he had another show called... So Graham Norton, Now Graham is a comedian, and his first show run was totally outrageous! His guests received gifts that were presented on the show. He gave Sir Elton John a kids toy called a space hopper that you sit on and bounce along on. he had attached to it a "novelty" male member. He gave female guests vibrating gel tongues. They are hard to find now but If you can get the So Graham Norton show get it. All of his shows new or old are... you gotta see this! Internet Memes are not as funny as any of his shows.
I started watching him in 2009 when I found the show on BBC America. He's my favorite talk show host with Andy Cohen coming in second. He really makes the guests feel relaxed and sometimes drunk. When Bill Murray and Matt Damon were on the show and if I remember right someone started throwing the display fruit at the audience. Mark Wahlberg was jet lagged and drunk and he got a bit obnoxious and sat on Graham's lap. Miriam Margoyles is the best guest ever and there are a number of videos of her on the show. One funny one was with Will I Am and Adam Lambert was the singer that night. She hit it off with Will I Am and when Adam came to the couch she told him he shouldn't say that word because it didn't look good for him. Then proceeded to tell the story of walking home after a show on Edinburg. It was do funny and Adam said and you gave me a hard time for saying shit. So many great stories from that lady. To say she's a character is an understatement!
Only show like this I watch. He's great. His personality, his rapport with his guests, the way he sets up the show,... everything. Plus, they're not uptight like here... his guests get to drink. 😄 Found it a couple years ago, and watch almost every day.
Mark Whalberg drunk on Graham was fun but so embarrassing. They're all amazing. I've been watching since the 90s when he had no budget and B or C list actors. It was amazing from the start.
I’ve been watching Graham Norton for about two decades now. Discovered him on BBC America in the early 2000s. He is the best, and you’re in for a great Rabbit Hole journey.
Graham's show is the only talk show I will watch. I like that all his guests sit together on the couch & interact. Miriam Margolyes & Miranda Hart are my favorite guests.
It started in 2007, i think and they finished season 29 in March. He usually has a British comedian, music guests, actors and sometimes sports. Unless its something like Mission Impossible and he will have guests from that film. There was one with Bill Murray who was so drunk. Matt Damon said it was the most fun he's had on a talk show. I remember after that George Clooney came. He wondered how Bill etc had left to do a talk show and came back more drunk than they left. Graham will take briefly about the current projects and then anything goes.
Graham Norton is from Cork, in Ireland...He works in the UK, so living there also...He has written a couple of books also and has been in a comedy skit, called " Father Ted" that was approx in the 90es.....He is brilliant , very funny and fantastic at getting most from his guests....This was fun to watch....Regards from Ireland 🇮🇪
The best talk show hands down. In the UK, they can openly drink on those kinds of shows as well. It definitely helps loosen everyone up. BUT, the best part of his show is the Red Chair. You'd probably enjoy those videos as much if not more than the interviews.
I love Graham Norton. He's awesome and everyone seem comfortable being on his show. Many of them always go again and again on his show when they are promoting new movies or perform as musical guest.
One of my favorite shows, wish we had shows like this in America. You notice the genius of serving guests drinks 🍹🍺 to loosen them up 😂 check out scenes when Jennifer Lawrence is on the show, she is awesome and so funny. Also don’t miss when Chris Pratt has been on there
Your reaction nailed it. I adore Graham Norton because his guests are comfortable and let the audience see a personal side of them that we wouldn’t normally see.
Awww Graham Norton is the ultimate best chat show there is out there and it’s brilliant! Graham is warm and witty. Everyone is so relaxed and sat with drinks of their choice. Some guests even put their feet up on the couch they are that comfortable with the interviewing. Graham certainly has a great gift for relaxing his guests The shows are hilarious you are crying laughing. Greg Davies i just love him. his stories are so funny. They even have a segment in the show for a music artist half way through promoting a song so Graham has them on the couch too. And the legendary red chair - some fantastic stories 🤣🤣🤣
This isn’t the style reaction I expected from you. But I love it. Graham Norton is hysterical. And you’re a great reactor (I don’t subscribe to reactors… there are too many… but I’m subscribed to you!). Fabulous combination.
Graham is so funny..he has so many big US stars who come back again and again because they enjoy it so much..Tom Hanks. .. Will Smith..Matt Damon.. but you absolutely MUST watch the episode with Matthew Perry and Miriam Margolyes..she is a very eccentric British actress..she doesn't give a 💩 about what she says. It's HILARIOUS..Mathew Perry didn't know what to say he was soo shocked..but its typical Miriam..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏🐾🐾
The chemistry between them all is always great. He's one of the very few that allows them to be just people and tell stories you'd think on the surface nobody would care about, but is actually super important in allowing them to be normal, relatable and respected as people for once, and not just 'famous'.

I much prefer British talk shows to American ones, the swearing isn't beeped out, the guests take center stage, it's genuine conversations instead of 7 minutes "your new film/album is so AWESOME, everything's so AMAZING, we all LOVE YOU SO MUCH okay byyyeee" and it's all so obviously fake, over the top and pre-planned, including the laughter of the hosts. Alan Carr (when he still did "Chatty man"), Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton are all great! Wish Craig Ferguson never was made to leave, because he was truly great on American telly
Graham Norton show is a national treasure because Graham Norton himself is one of the best interviewers. The fact that they have all of the stars come out on the couch together and they all get alcohol and they all just talk about anything. Miriam Margolies has said things on That couch over the years that can never be shown on American television. And There is actually a compilation of only her visits. Best one I ever watched was when they had Matt Damon Bill Murray and the Hugh Bonneville on promoting a movie. They were drunk when they got there, got drunker as the show progressed and at one point Bill Murray was laughing so hard he was crying! Every time I have a crappy day I watch that specific episode because it is the best thing ever EVER!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

When Meryl Streep says he’s the best you have to sit up and take note
Best one is Will I Am, Gregg Davies and Miriam Margoles 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Only show like this I watch. He's great. His personality, his rapport with his guests, the way he sets up the show,... everything. Plus, they're not uptight like here... his guests get to drink. 😄
Found it a couple years ago, and watch almost every day.
Yeah, Graham Norton is amazing. I always have a good time watching this show.
He has all different people singers actors politicians they all like to get on Graham norton he is so so good
Graham is the best interviewer/host I've ever seen. He should be used as a study for learning how to master this art.
Mark Whalberg drunk on Graham was fun but so embarrassing. They're all amazing. I've been watching since the 90s when he had no budget and B or C list actors. It was amazing from the start.
Graham Norton is the best talk show ever. Look up Kate Beckinsale’s practical joke! SO funny! 😂😂😂
I agree, give all the others a wide birth
His show is great!! Been watching him for years here in the states!!!
Graham is the best! I love his show! Always fun and makes you feel good 😊
It started in 2007, i think and they finished season 29 in March.
Graham is fantastic ... You should look at when Kevin Bacon was on ... Scandalous but Hilarious!!
I love him and his great sense of humor, the show is always fun to watch!
Graham Norton is wonderful...Keeps me in stitches!!!🤣🤣🤣
Love his show! They are all drinking and are at ease and it’s really fun to watch! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love Graham Norton. He's awesome and everyone seem comfortable being on his show. Many of them always go again and again on his show when they are promoting new movies or perform as musical guest.
I love graham Norton’s style of interviewing, his guests always seem to have a good time.
One of my favorite shows, wish we had shows like this in America. You notice the genius of serving guests drinks 🍹🍺 to loosen them up 😂 check out scenes when Jennifer Lawrence is on the show, she is awesome and so funny. Also don’t miss when Chris Pratt has been on there
I love Graham Norton! Glad you discovered him
Also He Brings Them All Out At The Same Time & He Plies Them With Alcohol While They Are On The Air!! I Love This Show!!
And the legendary red chair - some fantastic stories 🤣🤣🤣
i’ve watched him for about 20 years and every single show is hilarious
This isn’t the style reaction I expected from you. But I love it. Graham Norton is hysterical. And you’re a great reactor (I don’t subscribe to reactors… there are too many… but I’m subscribed to you!). Fabulous combination.
He gathers the most amazing people on his red couch!!!! The interaction between the guests is brilliant!!!!! 👏👏👏👏
I went down the Graham Norton rabbit hole a couple of years ago. I know I stayed up up several nights binge watching all that I could find.
"Brads paddle!" Gets me every time.
Graham Norton has the best chat show on TV. For him it's all about the guests. Soooo much better than any American show.😀👍
I said in my mind that you forgot it was a challenge...😄 Glad you're doing more content on this channel, you're doing great!! 🙂
It's a long time since you've done a Steve vai, well it's time to sit back and enjoy one of his greatest live performances. STEVE VAI INCREDIBLE GUITAR PERFORMANCE HD video, you'll love this one, Best wishes from the north east coast of England.
The Greg Davies stories are always my favorite on this show!!
He is excellent. He just makes them so comfortable that they just open up and share.
I love his show because he mixes his guests between US known celebrities with UK known celebrities. And he brings them all out at the same time so they can interact. It's just such a fun and relaxed show.
10:30, that's why The Graham Norton Show is the best talkshow ever.
