Oh my, talk about ask and you shall receive! When you asked your TdF team this morning to request ideas for videos, I never thought it would happen so quickly. This is exactly what I need to reach some of my goals, THANKS!!! 😊
I just found your channel and have watched two videos, both outstanding. The blending board as well as this art yarn plying were so well done. It was like attending two day long workshops. Thanks so much for sharing your artistry. I love the freedom with which you approach your work. Laura
Thanks so much for showing us various techniques! Spinning yarn is on my bucket list and there is so much to know! I would love to see more of these instructional videos. Awesome
Thank you! That really let's me see the effect it has being held in the different positions. It gives us ideas and ways to branch off in different directions.
Lovely video as usual. I must admit that it reminded me that i needed to try and get some spinning in today, so i paused mid video to do that and came back to finish it. If I may make a suggestion, the camera angle you used to show the knotting is much better than when its more panned out. It's much easier to see your hands and the yarn as it's being created. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but seeing your wheel in whole doesn't seem as necessary as seeing your hands and yarn in more detail
Thank you 😊 really pretty! Good demo. I’ve started core spinning silk and veggie silks thick and thin yarn. I core spin that yarn again. I toss the thick and thin core spun yarn creating a nubby wild silky yarn for weaving. I spin final yarn back to take out the extra twist.
I have never done any spinning before; our family raised sheep for wool and to sell but I never did any spinning. Thank you for sharing it does look like it would be something to try. Do you dye your own wool? The whole process of cleaning and combing your own wool?
